Hulu shares trailer for Lisa Ann Walter’s debut comedy special

The trailer for Lisa Ann Walter’s first comedy special has arrived.

Hulu has released the trailer for the Abbott Elementary actress and comedian’s debut comedy special, called Lisa Ann Walter: It Was An Accident.

Walter covers many topics during the new special, including feral Gen-Xers, self-loathing and navigating a backsliding America, all told from the “no-filter lens of a grown-a** woman who has been paying attention,” according to an official description.

The trailer for the special, which was filmed in Philadelphia, shows off several of Walter’s jokes.

“I had a young boyfriend for a while after the divorce,” Walter says. “I didn’t want to, but I was divorced in LA and that’s the law.”

This new comedy special was written, performed, executive produced and directed by Walter. Her Abbott Elementary costar Sheryl Lee Ralph serves as one of its executive producers.

Lisa Ann Walter: It Was An Accident arrives to Hulu on May 15.

New Music Friday: Alex Warren, Maroon 5 and more

After teasing it with endless social media posts, Alex Warren has finally dropped his new single, “Fine Place to Die.” Like his hit “Ordinary,” the song was inspired by his wife, Kouvr Annon Warren. Alex has been performing the new song during his current Finding Family on The Road Tour, along with his current single, “Fever Dream.” The tour arrives in North America on May 25.

Maroon 5 is out with their new single, “Heroine.” It’s their first release since the deluxe edition of their 2025 album, Love Is Like, marking the start of their next chapter. In it, Adam Levine sings about how miserable he is when his loved one isn’t around: “Hangin’ on the edge/ fingertips are red/ I’m about to fall/ Baby, baby/ You could save me/ You could be my heroine.”

Nick Jonas has released two songs with Brandon Lake, who you may know from his duet with Jelly Roll, “Hard Fought Hallelujah.” One of them is a faith-based song they co-wrote called “The Author,” billed as Brandon Lake featuring Nick Jonas. The other is a remix of “Hope” from Nick’s latest album, Sunday Best, featuring new vocals from Brandon.

Spice Girls’ Mel C has released her latest album, the dance-centric Sweat, along with a new visual for the single “Drum Machine.” She launches a North American tour Sept. 8 in Montreal.

The deluxe edition of Halsey’s album The Great Impersonator is out now, featuring six new tracks, including “Carry the Weight” and “Lucid.”

Lizzo tells Gayle King she’s ‘misunderstood’: ‘People don’t understand that I’m always trying to help’

After over a decade in the music industry, Lizzo believes “there’s a long list” of misconceptions about her.

In a clip from her upcoming interview with CBS Mornings, she tells Gayle King, “I think I might be one of the most misunderstood. I think people don’t understand that I’m always trying to help.”

“I think people tone-police me a little bit,” she continues. “I think that they think I’m always complaining or I’m always angry or I’m always shouting. And I’m like, ‘No, I’m talking very calmly and everything that I’m talking about is meant to be helpful.’ And I think that people misunderstand that about me a lot,” she continues.

“They’ll be like, ‘Here comes Lizzo complaining again,’” she adds. “I’m like, ‘I’m not complaining! I’m just shining a light.’ But once I realize that that’s how people are gonna take it, I’ve just decided to stop.”

Instead, Lizzo says she channels her feelings into her music. “Y’all not gonna take it the way I want you to take it — so let me just put it in the music,” she says.

Lizzo’s appearance on CBS Mornings will air Monday on the heels of the release of her new single, “Bitch,” and its accompanying music video. Directed by child., it features Lizzo and her entourage as circus performers.

Bitch, now available for preorder, is set to arrive on June 5.

Trump says announcement expected today on Spirit Airlines deal

(WASHINGTON) — President Donald Trump said an announcement was expected Friday on Spirit Airlines, amid a report that the airline was preparing to cease operations after a $500 million rescue deal fell apart.

The Wall Street Journal first reported that the airline is preparing to shut down operations.

When asked if the administration had decided against bailing out Spirit Airlines, Trump told reporters on Friday, “I guess we’re looking at it. If we could do it, we do it, but only if it’s a good deal.”

“No institution’s been able to do it,” he continued. “I said ‘I’d like to save the jobs,’ but we’ll have an announcement sometime today. We gave them, we gave them a final proposal.”

Take your ‘Boots Off’ for another ‘California Sunrise’ with Jon Pardi

Get ready for the dawning of another California Sunrise, as Jon Pardi readies the 10th Anniversary Edition of his 2016 album.

Jensen Ackles on ‘The Boys” ‘Supernatural’ reunion episode: ‘It was fun to watch them struggle’

Eric Kripke, the showrunner of Prime Video’s The Boys, also created Supernatural, which ran for 15 seasons on The WB and then The CW. Kripke then cast that show’s star, Jensen Ackles, in The Boys as Soldier Boy, but the series’ latest episode is a full-on Supernatural reunion.

In the episode, Antony Starr’s Homelander and Ackles’ Soldier Boy go to LA to talk to a supe named Mister Marathon, who they’re told knows something about V1, a substance that can make Homelander immortal. Mister Marathon is played by Jared Padalecki, who costarred with Ackles as Sam Winchester in Supernatural.

“They brought him in as a bit of a cameo appearance,” Ackles told ABC Audio. “Kripke’s always got crazy ideas up his sleeve. This certainly was one of them,and we had a lot of fun.”

Also in that episode, Homelander and Soldier Boy encounter another supe, Malchemical, played by Misha Collins, who was Castiel in Supernatural.

“It was good to mix it up with him again, and with Misha as well, and see how they handled the deep end of the Kripke pool that is The Boys,” Ackles added. “I think they did OK, but it was fun to watch them struggle.”

What did the two struggle with? Well, let’s just say there’s a lot of blood and gore, several deaths and general mayhem.

By the way, there are a number of big-name stars who make cameos in that particular scene, in addition to the Supernatural guys. We won’t spoil it, except to say that, in a meta moment, one of them is Seth Rogen, who happens to be one of The Boys‘ executive producers.

Foo Fighters changed ’Your Favorite Toy’ album title for good thanks to ‘Wicked’

No one mourns the wicked, but Dave Grohl is mourning the loss of his original title for the new Foo Fighters album, Your Favorite Toy.

As Grohl tells the U.K.’s Radio X, he originally planned to call the record For Good in reference to the lyric off the song “Your Favorite Toy,” “Someone threw away your favorite toy, for good.”

“I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a good, not only title for the song, but also for the album,'” Grohl recalls thinking. “It could have more than a few meanings.”

However, Grohl had to pivot when the massive movie musical Wicked announced that its sequel would be titled Wicked: For Good.

“Then that Wicked movie came out and it’s called Wicked: For Good,” Grohl says. “And I was so pissed.”

As a result, Grohl changed the title of both the song and the album title to Your Favorite Toy. One might even say they were changed for good.

Also in the Radio X interview, Grohl and the other Foo Fighters members go through Your Favorite Toy track by track. The album is out now.

Snoop Dogg to perform at Race to Erase MS Gala

Snoop Dogg has been tapped to perform at the 33rd annual Race to Erase MS Gala, a fundraising event held by Race to Erase MS in support of research and approaches to treat and eradicate multiple sclerosis.

The event specifically benefits the foundation’s Center Without Walls program, “a unique collaboration between eight of the world’s leading MS research centers across the country who have bolstered their individual efforts on groundbreaking research into collective action with the goal of treating and, ultimately, finding a cure for MS,” according to a press release.

“Each year, the Race to Erase MS Gala unites a passionate community dedicated to finding a cure,” Race to Erase MS founder Nancy Davis said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome Snoop Dogg, a true icon, whose exciting performance will bring incredible energy to an all inspiring evening.”

The gala will take place June 5 in Los Angeles, hosted by ESPN’s Jesse Palmer. It will honor Disney Entertainment Television Communications EVP Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul with the Medal of Hope, and will feature a L’AGENCE fashion show and musical performances.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and ESPN.

It’s ‘so true’ that Gracie Abrams’ new single is coming May 14

After weeks of teases, we finally have some solid information about Gracie Abrams’ new song.

It’s called “Hit the Wall” and will be out May 14 at 8 p.m. ET, she announced on Instagram. She added, “I love it with everything I have.” You can preorder and presave the track now.

Gracie previously posted a clip of the song, in which she sings, “I thought we’d get married, but I guess not/ Now you can watch me hit the wall.”

The post was accompanied by a photo of Gracie standing in a dark field in front of a burning tree. She added the initials “DFH” to the bottom of her caption: Those letters previously appeared on a sticker on a folder in an Instagram post, which has now been deleted.

“DFH” may be a reference to Gracie’s as-yet-unannounced new album. When it does arrive, it’ll be the follow-up to the deluxe version of The Secret of Us, which came out in 2024 and contained her hit “That’s So True.”

Noah Kahan’s ’The Great Divide’ debuts at #1 in the UK

The Atlantic Ocean may divide England from Noah Kahan’s home of Vermont, but that didn’t stop The Great Divide from landing at #1 across the pond.

The Great Divide, Kahan’s much-anticipated fourth studio effort, has debuted at the top of the U.K.’s Official Album Charts.

Kahan previously earned a #1 album in the U.K. with his last record, 2022’s Stick Season. Its title track also hit #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart.

The Great Divide also crossed another ocean, the Pacific, to debut at #1 in Australia.

Kahan’s debut on the U.S. Billboard 200 has yet to be announced. He’ll launch a U.S. tour in support of The Great Divide in June.
