The Rolling Stones’ ‘Foreign Tongues’ (Capitol Records)
After weeks of teasing fans, The Rolling Stones have finally spilled the beans about their new music.
The band has revealed that their next album, Foreign Tongues, will be released July 10. They also dropped the album’s first single, “In the Stars,” which is available now via digital outlets.
While “In the Stars” is the first single, it’s actually not the first taste fans have gotten of the album. The opening track, “Rough and Twisted,” was released in April as a white label vinyl under the name The Cockroaches. It has now been released digitally.
Like their last album, 2023’s Grammy Award-winning Hackney Diamonds, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood worked with producer Andrew Watt on the 14-track Foreign Tongues. It was recorded in under a month at London’s Metropolis Studios and is described as a “dynamic and forward-looking record that captures the band’s unmistakable sound while pushing into new sonic and lyrical territory, further cementing their unparalleled legacy.”
Foreign Tongues features an appearance by the band’s late drummer, Charlie Watts, taken from one of his final recording sessions before his death in 2021. It also features guest appearances by such A-list artists as Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, The Cure’s Robert Smith and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
Foreign Tongues will be released in a variety of formats and is available for preorder now.

Universal Pictures has released a brand-new trailer for its upcoming film adaptation of Homer’s epic poem.
The trailer, which runs 2 1/2 minutes, finds Matt Damon starring as Odysseus. Its starts with him in conversation with Calypso, as played by Charlize Theron.
“Tell me what you remember,” Calypso says to Odysseus.
“A wife. A son,” he answers. “We won the war. Help me go home.”
The trailer also shows off more from its star-studded ensemble cast, including Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway.
“This is a household waiting for a master. I want you to choose me,” Pattinson’s Antinous says to Hathaway’s Penelope.
“Ithaca’s king is coming back,” she says in return.
Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya also star in the film, which Universal describes as “a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology,” which will bring the foundational, classic story to IMAX screens for the first time.
Homer’s The Odyssey, of course, tells the story of the Greek hero Odysseus’ 10-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. He is filled with interruptions in his quest to return home to his wife, Penelope, and his grown son, Telemachus, who fights off suitors who are desperate to steal his father’s throne.
Nolan wrote and directed the film, his first since the Oscar-winning blockbuster Oppenheimer. He also produced the movie with his wife, Emma Thomas.

(MYSTIC FALLS, Wyo.) — Two hikers were injured in a bear attack at Yellowstone National Park, prompting some areas of the park to close, the National Park Service said.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon on the Mystic Falls Trail near Old Faithful in Wyoming, the park service said.
The two hikers “sustained injuries by one or more bears,” the park service said in a press release on Tuesday.
National Park Service emergency services personnel responded, and the incident remains under investigation, the park service said.
No additional details were released, including the condition of the hikers or the type of bear suspected in the attack.
Some areas of the national park are temporarily closed due to the ongoing investigation.
The last bear attack in Yellowstone was in September 2025, when a 29-year-old man was injured by a grizzly bear while hiking alone near Turbid Lake.
The last deadly bear attack occurred in 2015, in the Lake Village area of Yellowstone, the park service said.
The Who has dropped another performance from their upcoming album, Live at Eden Project. It’s a recording of their July 2023 concert at Cornwall’s Eden Project, the home of a sustainable network of biomes in the English countryside.
The latest is a live performance of “You Better You Bet,” the hit single from The Who’s 1981 album Face Dances, which is now available on YouTube.
The Who’s Eden Project concert was part of their The Who Hits Back! tour, which saw Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend backed by the Heart of England Philharmonic Orchestra. It featured performances of “Pinball Wizard,” which the band previously released, as well as “Who Are You,” “My Generation,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Baba O’Riley” and more.

(NEW YORK) — An epidemiologist at the World Health Organization (WHO) said that there may be some person-to-person spread in the suspected hantavirus outbreak aboard a cruise ship.
As of Monday, there have been seven cases reported aboard the MV Hondius, of which two are laboratory-confirmed and five are suspected. Among those seven, there have been three deaths, including a married couple from the Netherlands, one of whom has been confirmed to have been infected with hantavirus.
“We do believe that there may be some human-to-human transmission that’s happening among the really close contacts, the husband and wife, people who’ve shared cabins, [et cetera],” Maria Van Kerkhove, an infectious disease epidemiologist and director of Epidemic and Pandemic Management at the WHO, said during a press conference Tuesday.
“So again, our assumption is that has happened, and that’s why we are operating and working with the ship to make sure that anyone who is symptomatic, anyone caring for patients, is wearing full personal protective equipment,” she added.
Van Kerkhove noted that hantaviruses normally don’t transmit from person to person because it’s a “rodent infection.” Patients typically become infected when they come into contact with rodent urine, droppings or saliva, according to the WHO.
The initial patients who fell ill may have become infected before they boarded the ship, Van Kerkhove added.
Symptoms of hantavirus infections sometimes do not start until eight weeks after contact with the virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The WHO is working under the assumption that the strain of hantavirus in the suspected outbreak is the Andes virus, which historically has been shown to potentially transmit between people, although sequencing is still ongoing, according to Van Kerkhove.
In a post on its website, the WHO said the onset of illnesses aboard the MV Hondius occurred between April 6 and April 28, with patients experiencing fever, gastrointestinal symptoms, rapid progression to pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome and shock.
“The outbreak is being managed through coordinated international response, and includes in-depth investigations, case isolation and care, medical evacuation and laboratory investigations,” the WHO wrote in the post.
WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Ghebreysus wrote in a post on X Tuesday that the infection risk to the global population is low and that the agency will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
Timeline of cases
The first suspected hantavirus case occurred in a 70-year-old male passenger from the Netherlands who developed fever, headache and mild diarrhea on April 6, according to the WHO and South African health officials.
On April 11, the passenger developed respiratory distress and died on board the ship the same day. His body was removed from the ship to the British territory of St. Helena on April 24. No microbiological tests were performed on the man, according to the WHO.
Also on April 24, the male passenger’s 69-year-old wife developed gastrointestinal symptoms, health officials said. Her health rapidly declined while on a flight to Johannesburg, South Africa, on April 25 and she died upon arrival to an emergency department the next day, the WHO said.
On Monday, May 4, laboratory testing confirmed that the wife was infected with hantavirus.
Health workers have begun working to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the couple. According to the WHO, the couple had traveled in South America, including Argentina, before they boarded the cruise ship on April 1.
During Tuesday’s press conference, Van Kerkhove said officials suspect the couple was infected with hantavirus before boarding the ship.
“The initial patients, the initial case and his wife, they joined the boat in Argentina. And with the timing of the incubation period of hantavirus, which can be anywhere from one to six weeks, our assumption is that they were infected off the ship, perhaps doing some activities there,” she said.
A British passenger started developing symptoms on April 24, including shortness of breath and signs of pneumonia, according to the WHO and South African health officials.
His condition worsened and he was medically evacuated from Ascension, another British territory, to South Africa on April 27, where he is currently hospitalized in an intensive care unit. Laboratory testing confirmed hantavirus infection over the weekend, the WHO said.
Another passenger, an adult female, began experiencing symptoms on April 28, including a general feeling of being unwell, according to the WHO. She later presented with pneumonia and died on May 2. Oceanwide Expeditions, which operates the cruise ship, previously revealed that the patient was a German national.
In addition, there are three suspected cases currently onboard the MV Hondius reporting high fever and/or gastrointestinal symptoms, the WHO said. The ship is currently off the coast of Cape Verde, where medical teams in the area are evaluating the patients and collecting additional specimens for testing, according to the WHO.
Van Kerkhove said the highest priority is to medically evacuate the symptomatic individuals onboard the ship so they receive the care they need.
“The plan now is for the ship to continue on to the Canary Islands. We’re working with Spanish authorities who will welcome the ship, have said that they will welcome the ship, to do a full investigation, a full epidemiological investigation, full disinfection of the ship, and of course to assess the risk of the passengers that are actually on board,” she said.

In addition to Teddy, the only other performers who have been announced are girl group KATSEYE and rockers Twenty One Pilots.

Beyoncé made the 2026 Met Gala a fashionable family outing.
The Grammy winner was a co-chair for this year’s gala and stepped out on the the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s iconic Fifth Avenue steps Monday night for the first time in 10 years.
By her side were daughter Blue Ivy Carter and husband Jay-Z.
The Cowboy Carter artist wore a sparkling illusion gown by Olivier Rousteing, which was designed to look like a skeleton and was covered in crystals.
She finished the look with a glimmering headpiece and feathered cape, wearing her hair in long blond waves.
Blue Ivy wore a white gown with a matching white puffer jacket for the occasion, while Jay-Z opted for an all-black look.
Speaking with Vogue on the red carpet, Beyoncé said being back at the Met Gala was “surreal, because my daughter’s here.”
“It’s incredible to be able to share it with her,” she added. “She looks so incredible.”
Asked what she was most excited for that evening, she said she was thrilled to experience the evening “through the eyes of Blue” and “to relax.”
Like many celebrities, details about Beyoncé’s 2026 Met Gala look remained under wraps until the very last minute.
The last Met Gala that the singer attended was the 2016 gala. The theme that year was “Manus x Machina,” and Beyoncé stepped out in a Givenchy Haute Couture dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

(NEW YORK) — May is expected to feel like December in parts of Colorado as a significant snowstorm is forecast to hit the state on Tuesday, potentially providing a late-spring gift to its sagging snow totals.
Winter storm alerts are in place on Tuesday for parts of Colorado and neighboring Wyoming through Wednesday.
The Denver metropolitan area is expected to get 2 to 6 inches of snow on Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
The Mile High City is about 20 inches below average for snowfall this season.
Parts of the Central Rocky Mountains, which up to now have seen a record-low snowpack this season, could get 1 to 2 feet of snow on Tuesday and into Wednesday.
The snowstorm comes a day after the temperature in Denver hit 75. On Tuesday, Denver is only expected to get into the lower 40s — about 30 degrees colder than on Monday.
Warm weather from Washington, D.C., to New York City
Meanwhile, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Raleigh, North Carolina, are expected to top 80 degrees on Tuesday — which is 5 to 15 degrees above average for this time of the year.
On Wednesday, a rush of cold air is expected to bring widespread below-average temperatures across the Midwest and Great Lakes.
Chicago reached 80 on Monday, but will likely only reach 60 on Tuesday.
Severe weather expected in Texas and Arkansas
On Tuesday, severe storms are possible from Dallas to Jonesboro, Arkansas, with the main threats expected to be large hail, damaging wind and possible isolated tornadoes.
Across the South this week, a widespread storm is forecast to produce 1.5 inches to 4 inches of rain. Much of the rain is expected to be beneficial across the drought-stricken region.

(NEW YORK) — A Federal Aviation Administration employee was arrested Monday after he allegedly threatened to harm the president and used a work computer to research his plans, prosecutors said.
Dean DelleChiaie, 35, of Nashua, New Hampshire, was slated to appear in federal court Tuesday on charges of communicating an interstate threat.
Prosecutors allege DelleChiaie used his government computer to search the internet for how to get a gun into a federal facility.
The suspect allegedly also made other incriminating searches on the device, including previous assassination attempts against Trump, the percentage of the population that wants the president dead and the phrase, “I am going to kill Donald John Trump,” according to the criminal complaint.
The Secret Service met with DelleChiaie in February, and he allegedly admitted to conducting those searches on his work computer, according to the complaint.
He also told the Secret Service he owned three firearms, including a handgun he kept inside a safe at home, prosecutors allege.
On April 21, DelleChiaie allegedly used his personal email to transmit a threat across state lines to the White House’s email address, prosecutors said.
The email had for a subject, “Contact the President,” and said, “I, Dean DelleChiaie, am going neutralize/kill you — Donald John Trump — because you decided to kill kids — and say that it was War — when in reality — it is terrorism. God knows your actions and where you belong,” according to the complaint.
Attorney information for the suspect was not immediately available.
DelleChiaie faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, if convicted.
