Tiffany Haddish has landed a starring role in a new horror-thriller titled The Lesson.

From American Heist and The Bachelor executive producer JoJo Ryder, the film’s about a devoted teacher whose death sparks a series of events that haunt his former students and eventually force them to confront their past.

“What drew me to The Lesson was how layered it is. It’s not just horror — it’s about choices, consequences, and the things we think we can walk away from. Audiences are in for something unexpected,” Haddish said in a statement, according to Deadline.

She’s set to act alongside Rosario Dawson, who said she’s “looking forward to be working with Tiffany and JoJo.”

Ryder also issued a statement to Deadline, expressing excitement over Haddish and Dawson’s involvement in her movie.

“I’m thrilled to have Tiffany and Rosario join The Lesson,” said Ryder, who wrote the script and is set to direct the film. “They bring intensity, range, and a fearless presence that elevates every scene. This story demands emotional depth as much as suspense, and they deliver both.”

The plan is for The Lesson to begin filming in LA in 2026. Additional casting is currently underway.

The official teaser trailer for House of the Dragon season 3 has arrived.

HBO released the first trailer for the third season of the Game of Thrones prequel series on Thursday. It finds House Targaryen divided as ever, picking up where season 2 left off.

The returning cast includes Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Bethany Antonia, Jefferson Hall, Tom Bennett, Kurt Egyiawan and Freddie Fox.

At the beginning of the trailer we hear Rhaenyra Targaryen (D’Arcy) say she has been visited by her former best friend and current nemesis, Alicent Hightower (Cooke).

“Alicent came to Dragonstone. She will open the gates of the Red Keep and surrender to me,” Rhaenyra says, before she is advised against trusting her.

We then hear Aemond Targaryen (Mitchell) say that the king has abdicated the throne. “A new line is coming. A new line of unsullied kings,” he continues.

Rhaenyra’s husband, Daemon Targaryen (Smith), calls for her to take the throne.

“You are the Queen of Dragons,” Daemon says. “You have an absolute power within your grasp.”

House of the Dragon is based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood. The story is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, centering on House Targaryen.

Season 3 of the fantasy drama series is set to arrive on HBO and HBO Max in June.

After crowning Taylor Swift the #1 artist in the world for 2025, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry has announced the biggest singles in the world for 2025.

Coming in at #2 on the list was “Golden” by HUNTR/X, followed by Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” and Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s “Die with a Smile” at #4.

Bruno is also #1 on the list with “APT.,” his collaboration with BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ, which the duo performed on the Grammys in early February. It’s Bruno’s first time on top of the IFPI’s chart since he won the title in 2011 with “Just the Way You Are.”

IFPI also noted that eight of the top-10 singles were originally released in 2024. For example, Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” was #5, while Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” was #6. Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” was in at #7, despite being released in 2023.

Farther down on the list are Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” — both from 2024 — and Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” which was originally released back in 2020 but didn’t really become a hit until last year.

Despite being the #1 artist of 2025, Taylor’s single “The Fate of Ophelia” only made it to #19 on the list, but then again, it wasn’t released until October.

Eagle-eyed fans were right: That was Riley Green in the trailer for the new Yellowstone spinoff Marshals.

When the trailer for the new Taylor Sheridan series dropped, fans thought that the mustachioed guy wearing a ball cap sitting next to a campfire looked an awful lot like the “Worst Way” singer. Now ABC Audio has confirmed that Riley will appear in the show, which debuts March 1 on Paramount+.

Riley will play a former Navy SEAL named Garrett who shows up at the ranch to get help from his friends Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes, and Pete Calvin, played by Logan Marshall-Green.

The news was first reported by Variety, who quotes Riley as saying, “I’m so excited to be joining the cast of Marshals. Being on set with my buddy Luke Grimes made the experience even more memorable. This is my first go around in the acting space and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this world.”

Marshals follows Kayce Dutton as he joins an elite U.S. Marshals unit and is tapped to help restore justice to Montana.

Of course, Riley isn’t the first country star to appear in the Yellowstone universe: Lainey Wilson played Abby in season 5 of that series.

Fine arts panel approves Trump’s White House East Wing ballroom plans

(WASHINGTON) — The Commission of Fine Arts voted on Thursday to approve the design plan for President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom.

The panel, made up entirely of new members appointed by Trump, did so near unanimously without further review over the “vast, vast majority” of public comments opposing the project.

Chairman Rodney Mims Cook Jr. moved to approve the plans as “final” after first voting to back the “concept” of the construction project.

One commissioner did not vote: James McCrery, the president’s White House architect who was sidelined on the ballroom project. McCrery recused himself and said it would be “inappropriate” for him to comment or vote on the plans.

The votes took place after Shalom Baranes, Trump’s new ballroom architect, presented updated design plans, with the most notable public change being the removal of a pediment on the proposed structure’s south side at the commission’s recommendation.

The commission fast-tracked the final vote, which was not set to happen on Thursday. The commission was set to review the project’s final design before taking their final vote, which would have been — at the earliest — during their next meeting scheduled for March 19.

Cook said the Pentagon “made some demands on the president” for greater security and that those secret design plans were integrated into the design.

More renderings of the proposed 90,000-square-foot addition in the location of the demolished East Wing were made available in a 31-page report submitted to commission last week, including a view of the building from Pennsylvania Avenue.

The votes to approve the proposal also came after Thomas Luebke, the panel’s secretary, presented the group with the public’s objection to the East Wing’s destruction last fall and the ballroom’s construction.

“Mind you, in more than two decades of case work here, for me, I’ve never seen as much public engagement on this,” Luebke said. “We literally have gotten, just in the past week or so, more than 2,000 various messages — way too much to go through individually.”

Luebke later added the messages were “overwhelmingly in opposition, over 99%, to this project.”

Luebke read excerpts from two public comments, one in favor and one against. The supporter of the ballroom argued that the addition was necessary to host formal events and “to have America be competitive in the eyes of world leaders.” The opposing commentator argued that the addition “represents an affront to our heritage, a circumvention of democratic processes and a misallocation of resources that could better serve the republic.”

Luebke said groups have also voiced opposition, including the National Mall Coalition, which said to the commission: “Please do not set a precedent that will be difficult, if not impossible, to overturn. We ask you to await the decision of the courts and not support further breach of public trust.”

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has sued to stop the project. The judge in the case has expressed skepticism of the government’s arguments that the president has the power to build a ballroom with private donations and without express authorization from Congress, and said he hoped to issue a decision this month.

The ballroom is a longtime goal for Trump, who said in a social media post that it will be “one of the greatest and most beautiful Ballrooms anywhere in the world.” Trump said the project will cost $400 million and be paid for by private donors.

He applauded the commission’s approval in a social media post Thursday afternoon, saying “Great accolades were paid to the building’s beauty and scale. Thank you to the members of the Commission!”

The National Capital Planning Commission — led by Will Scharf, Trump’s White House staff secretary — will also consider the ballroom project during its March meeting.

Founding Vampire Weekend member Rostam Batmanglij aka Rostam has released the original version of the song “Campus,” a track off the band’s 2008 self-titled debut album.

“I was interested in creating a piece of music that was built around a cello, a kick drum, and a vocal that told a story,” Rostam says in a statement. “Robyn’s ‘Be Mine’ was an inspiration. From the first time we tried playing it as a band with rock instruments, it happened to work. That was a happy accident, but I always intended for this original version to see the light of day someday.”

He adds, “There are some small differences in lyrics between this version and our Vampire Weekend version and I’m sure some people will notice them. I’m happy that version exists and I’m also happy this one is out in the world now too.”

Along with Vampire Weekend’s debut, Rostam played on the band’s next two records, 2010’s Contra and 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City, before leaving the group in 2016. He’s since launched a solo career, and has produced albums for artists including HAIM and Clairo.

Noah Kahan, The Great Divide Tour (Live Nation)

Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide tour is sold out, and he couldn’t be more grateful.

The “Stick Season” singer has moved more than 1 million tickets for the stadium trek, which will include four performances at Boston’s Fenway Park. The Vermont native will now be the first artist ever to play and sell out four nights at that iconic venue. The tour starts June 11 in Orlando, Florida, and will wrap Aug. 31 in Seattle, with Gigi Perez opening all dates.

Noah responded to the news on Instagram by writing, “I will never find the words. These last few years have challenged me creatively and mentally in so many ways and to see this amount of love and support for so many years is such a guiding light for me. I will never stop making music as long as you’ll listen. I do it all for you.”

And his reaction to the four-night sellout at Fenway? “I guess it’s the first time anyone has done that, holy s*** by the way.”

Noah concluded, “I promise to honor this moment and the time and money you have spent to come see this show. The band and I will leave it all out there, and just know that you’ll be watching us live out an impossible dream. Love you all so much.”

Noah’s new album, The Great Divide, is out April 24.

While Nicki Minaj attended the World Liberty Forum in Florida Wednesday, President Donald Trump was singing her praises. He shared a few words about the rapper during the Black History Month event at the White House.

“How about Nicki Minaj? Do we love Nicki Minaj? I love Nicki Minaj. She was here a couple weeks ago. She’s so beautiful,” Trump said in a video posted by The Associated Press. “I said, ‘Nicki, you’re so beautiful.’ … But she was so beautiful and so great and she gets it, more importantly.”

Nicki has been vocal about her support of Trump on various platforms, including Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest and the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., where she met him for the first time.

Her keynote appearance at the Trump-backed World Liberty Forum saw her discussing her tight relationship with her fans, among other things.

You don’t have to go to infinity and beyond for the Toy Story 5 official trailer.

Disney and Pixar have released a 2 1/2-minute look at the upcoming animated sequel film. Everyone’s favorite toys — including Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack) and Forky (Tony Hale) — are back in this new look that shows how the toys react to new technology.

The new trailer also shows off how Woody — who decided to leave his caretaker, Bonnie (Scarlett Spears), at the end of Toy Story 4 and live off the grid with Bo Peep (Annie Potts) — reunites with his original toy family.

Set to the classic Randy Newman song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” the trailer finds the gang of toys up against the new antagonist Lilypad. Voiced by Greta Lee, Lilypad is a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet that makes the toys’ jobs more difficult as they compete with this new threat to playtime.

“What are you, some sort of old man toy?” Lilypad asks Woody, who incredulously asks, “What?” in response.

“She thinks you’re old because you’re bald, Woody,” Forky says.

Newly announced voice cast members for the film include Craig Robinson as Atlas, a cheerful talking GPS hippo toy; Shelby Rabara as the excitable camera toy Snappy; Mykal-Michelle Harris as Blaze, an independent 8-year-old girl who loves animals; and Matty Matheson as the tech-fearing toy Dr. Nutcase.

Also announced to return to the franchise are John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Jeff Bergman as Mr. Potato Head, Anna Vocino as Mrs. Potato Head, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Melissa Villaseñor as Karen Beverly, John Hopkins as Mr. Pricklepants, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom.

Toy Story 5 is directed by WALL-E and Finding Nemo helmer Andrew Stanton and co-directed by Kenna Harris. Newman returns to score his fifth Toy Story film. The movie rides like the wind into theaters on June 19.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and Pixar.
