Michael Jackson’s biopic is killing it at the box office, but a part of his story that isn’t shown in the film will be told via a Netflix docuseries in June.

Michael Jackson: The Verdict is a three-part series that delves into the late King of Pop’s 2003 arrest on child molestation charges, his 2004 arraignment and indictment, and his subsequent 2005 trial. It was a media circus that ended on June 13, 2005, with the superstar being acquitted on all 10 counts.

The docuseries features interviews with jurors, eyewitnesses, members of the media who were in the courtroom, and Michael’s accusers and defenders. It tells the story from the perspectives of both the prosecution and the defense.

In a statement, director Nick Green and executive producer Fiona Stourton say, “It has been 20 years since the trial of Michael Jackson in which he was found not guilty. Yet, to this day, controversy still rages.”

“No cameras were allowed in court, and so the public’s view of the facts at the time were filtered by commentators and presented piecemeal,” they continue. “It was time to take a forensic look at the trial as a whole.”

“Anyone interested in the Michael Jackson story should feel this documentary gives them a window into what was largely a closed event and a chance to feel closer to what happened.”

Michael Jackson: The Verdict debuts June 3.

Yes has released another song from their upcoming album, Aurora.

After debuting the album’s title track in April, the band — currently made up of Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison, Billy Sherwood and Jay Schellen — has now released “Turnaround Situation.”

“‘Turnaround Situation’ came from realizing that every time I ignored my conscience, life seemed to fall apart in one way or another,” says Davison. “I’ve taken the wrong road before. Most people have. There’s always a temporary thrill in it, but eventually it catches up with you.”

Aurora is Yes’ 24th studio album and their first since 2023’s Mirror to the Sky. It will be released July 12 digitally, on CD and as a two-LP set, along with limited-edition deluxe editions that come with a bonus disc of instrumentals, a Blu-ray with various audio mixes of the album and more.

All formats are available for preorder now.

Vybz Kartel is providing new music for your summer playlist. He’s announced a new album, God & Time, set to arrive on June 5.

Vybz announced the news via Instagram alongside a snippet of the video for the title track, which has since been released on YouTube.

The video finds him walking into a church, where he prays and praises God. Other scenes include people reading the Bible, a choir singing, a young man reuniting with an elder in a church and a prisoner praying in his cell, possibly symbolizing Vybz’s own time in prison. The visual also features moments from his life after his release, including clips of him hugging his mother, accepting plaques and performing onstage with DJ Khaled.

“I named the album God & Time because it’s a slang that has been popular in Jamaica since we was children,” Vybz tells Billboard. “When I was in prison, my lawyer used to always say that to me. I eventually just started believing in myself and applying it to my life.”

Billboard also reports that Shenseea, Skillibeng and Latin Grammy-winning reggaetonero Farruko are featured, with more surprises still to come. “You can expect Vybz Kartel energy; the flow will be different, and the lyrics will be amazing,” he teased.

God & Time is now available for preorder.

Cliff Booth isn’t just headed to the big screen, it’s headed to the biggest screens around.

Director David Fincher’s latest film will arrive in IMAX theaters for an exclusive two-week run beginning Thanksgiving weekend before it debuts to Netflix in December.

Cliff Booth stars Brad Pitt back in the Oscar-winning role he first portrayed in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood. It will be available to watch on IMAX screens starting on Nov. 25. Netflix subscribers will be able to stream the film on Dec. 23.

Fincher directs Cliff Booth from a screenplay written by Tarantino. While plot details are being kept under wraps for the time being, Netflix describes it as a return to the world of Cliff Booth, “only this time it’s 1977 and it’s a very different Hollywood.”

Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian also star in the upcoming movie. Pitt is producing the film alongside Ceán Chaffin.

Cliff Booth takes the theatrical release date that Greta Gerwig’s Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew previously held before it was moved from Thanksgiving to February 2027.

Ingrid Andress wishes an ex “All the Best” on her new track coming Friday — or does she?

“I wouldn’t consider myself a petty person, but I couldn’t help but write ‘All The Best’ the way that we did,” she says. “My friends and my therapist say I’m too sarcastic, so I would say this song’s tone is very ‘me’ in that way.”

“I’m at a point in my life where I don’t get overly angry at someone if the relationship doesn’t work out, just annoyed,” she adds. “I’m too tired to be overly angry, so consider this a playful breakup song.”

Ingrid wrapped her six-city Low-Key Sessions tour with a sold-out show in Minneapolis on May 15.

Drake temporarily steps away from his Iceman character and into a yes-man in a new Nike commercial.

In the spot promoting Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 19 sneaker, he’s asked to react to some unusual shoe designs.

“First thought? Transcending the game,” Drake says. “It’s like, you need a banjo for those. Those are crazy. This guy went home, home on the range with it. Wow. You’re in 2038 with those.”

“I can’t hoop in these,” KD replies.

He also praises a pair of white and blue sneakers with white fur. “Those are hard,” Drake says. “This guy’s trying to dominate the Alaskan market. You gotta keep the ankles warm. … I see the jumper. Those are crazy.”

As the conversation goes on, KD confronts Drake, asking, “Yo, what’s wrong with you? You think I would wear these? Are you even a real friend?”

“I thought you were taking it somewhere else, like on some fashion,” Drake responds. KD then asks, “Are you a yes-man, bro?”

“No, I’m supporting my brother,” Drake replies. “If you’re going there, I’m going with you.”

KD eventually reveals the final design, dubbed the Candys, prompting Drake to react.

“The Candyman’s home. Oh wait, did I just get a cavity,” he says. “Someone call the dentist. … You know how many people are gonna be coppin this off the shelf.”

“These are fire flames, like. I need these,” he continues.

The clip ends with the message “… Everyone needs a yes man” appearing on the screen.

Drake shared the post on his Instagram, alongside the caption, “Normalize glazing the bros.”

His Iceman album is currently available to stream.

Get ready to receive a special Visitor in July.

Sienna Spiro will release her debut album, Visitor, July 3. It features all three of her singles: “Die on this Hill,” “The Visitor” and “You Stole the Show.” You can presave the album now, or preorder signed limited-edition copies.

Sienna explains the album title in a statement, saying, “I’ve always had a strong awareness of impermanence; I’m very fearful of things ending and people leaving. It’s so intense that I often won’t participate in new relationships or anything I know won’t last, so in a way I’ve spent most of my life feeling like a visitor — like someone who’s just passing through.”

“Making this album really taught me how to savor things in the moment, instead of constantly worrying about the future,” she adds. “When people hear the record, I hope it helps them to find some comfort in the fact that everything is temporary. We don’t always have to rush to let go — we can let things matter without needing them to last.”

Announcing the album on Instagram, the British singer wrote, “I cannot believe I’m saying this. I have been a fan of albums since I could talk and I’ve wanted to make my own forever. I don’t even know what to say. I’m just so excited and CANNOT WAIT for you to hear.”

Matt Damon is in talks to team up with the filmmakers behind Everything Everywhere All at Once for his next project.

The actor is being eyed to star in Universal Pictures’ upcoming, untitled event film from directors Daniels, ABC Audio has learned.

Universal Pictures had no comment when reached by ABC Audio.

Damon would replace Ryan Gosling in the project. Gosling was announced to star in the film back in March, although he dropped out of the project in April due to scheduling reasons.

This upcoming event film marks the first directing project for Daniels, the filmmaking duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, since sweeping the 95th Oscars in 2023 for their groundbreaking film Everything Everywhere All at Once. That movie walked away with seven Oscars, including best picture, best actress, best supporting actor, best director and best supporting actress.

While plot details of the upcoming film remain under wraps, production on the project is expected to start in Los Angeles in the summer.

Kwan, Scheinert and Jonathan Wang will produce the movie through their Playgrounds overall deal with Universal Pictures.
