Coheed’s other upcoming live plans include a tour with Shinedown, which launches Wednesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin, as well as their Neverender Rocks concert and Neverender Festival, taking place Sept. 29 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, and Oct. 3-4 in Santa Ana, California, respectively.

(NEW YORK) — The 9/11 Memorial & Museum announced Tuesday it will add a seventh moment of silence at this year’s 25th commemoration ceremony to honor those who have died of illnesses related to their time at or near the World Trade Center site.
For the past 24 years, there have been six moments of silence: two to mark the times when the planes struck the World Trade Center towers; one to mark when a plane struck the Pentagon; one to mark when a plane crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania; and the two times the World Trade Center towers collapsed. The moments of silence are each followed by a bell toll.
This new, seventh moment of silence will be observed at the conclusion of the reading of the names and will be a permanent part of the annual ceremony.
The recognition comes as more than 9,000 people have now died from 9/11-related illnesses, approximately three times the number killed on Sept. 11, 2001, according to the World Trade Center Health Program. Cancer cases tied to exposure have skyrocketed from 3,200 in 2015 to nearly 53,000 in 2026.
“We’ve lost far too many to cancer, respiratory issues, and other 9/11-related illnesses,” Dr. Kerry Kelly, former FDNY Chief Medical Officer and 9/11 Memorial & Museum Trustee, said in a statement on Tuesday.
“This new moment of silence is a fitting tribute to these heroes whose sacrifice, dedication, and commitment to public service will never be forgotten,” Kelly said.

(WASHINGTON) — Eileen Wang, the mayor of Arcadia, California, was charged with acting as an illegal foreign agent for China, the Justice Department announced on Monday.
Wang agreed to plead guilty, the DOJ said.
The City of Arcadia said Wang resigned from her position on Monday.
Starting in late 2020, Wang and Yaoning “Mike” Sun worked together to operate a website called U.S. News Center that “purported to be a news source for the local Chinese-American community.”
The Justice Department said in a plea agreement that Wang and Sun “received and executed directives from PRC (People’s Republic of China) government officials to post pro-PRC content on the website, and sometimes sought approval from PRC government officials to circulate other pro-PRC content.”
In one instance in November 2021, Wang wanted to circulate an article about the Chinese and Russian ambassador asking for Americans to respect the PRC’s “democratic rights.”
“This is what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to send,” she said.
In her plea agreement she admitted to not notifying the attorney general that she was working for the PRC.
“Individuals elected to public office in the United States should act only for the people of the United States that they represent,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John A. Eisenberg. “It is deeply concerning that someone who previously received and executed directives from PRC government officials is now in a position of public trust at all, but particularly so because that relationship with that foreign government had never been disclosed.”

Savannah Bananas second baseman and social media personality Jackson Olson is trading the baseball field for the dance floor.
Olson has officially joined Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars as a celebrity contestant, ABC announced during Disney’s Upfront presentation on Tuesday.
The internet creator and baseball star is the latest celebrity revealed for the upcoming season, joining previously announced contestants Maura Higgins of The Traitors and Love Island and Ciara Miller of Summer House.
The full celebrity cast and professional dancer lineup will be announced Sept. 2 exclusively on Good Morning America.
Olson has gained a massive following online through his mix of baseball content, personal storytelling and behind-the-scenes moments from life with the Savannah Bananas, the viral exhibition baseball team known for its entertaining spin on the sport.
Along with sharing baseball insights and highlights from his career as a second baseman, Olson’s content often focuses on relationships, family, food and everyday life experiences.
The Savannah Bananas have become a social media sensation in recent years for their fast-paced and comedic style of baseball, often compared to the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball, with Olson emerging as one of the team’s most recognizable personalities.
Dancing with the Stars is coming off a milestone Season 34, which marked the show’s best finale performance in a decade, according to ABC.
The show will air live this fall on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.

Legendary music producer Jack Douglas, who worked with such artists as John Lennon and Aerosmith, passed away at 80. The news was confirmed by his family in a statement on Facebook.
“He passed away peacefully on Monday night,” read the post. “As many of you who follow him know, he produced great music, and lived a colorful life. We know that he touched many of your lives; we would love to hear more about that in the comments. He will be missed.”
Douglas had a successful career producing albums in the 1970s, 1980s and beyond. His first success came as an engineer on John Lennon’s 1971 album, Imagine, and he later worked as a producer on Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Double Fantasy, the final Lennon album released before his December 1980 death. Douglas’ work on Double Fantasy earned him a Grammy for album of the year.
Douglas also saw great success working with Aerosmith, which resulted in four multiplatinum albums: 1974’s Get Your Wings, 1975’s Toys in the Attic, 1976’s Rocks and 1977’s Draw the Line.
Douglas worked with several other artists throughout his career, either as an engineer or producer, including Cheap Trick, Patti Smith, New York Dolls and Slash.

Conan O’Brien will be reprising his hosting duties at the Oscars next year.
At Disney Upfront 2026 on Tuesday, Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts announced that the Emmy Award-winning television host, writer, producer and comedian will return for the 99th Oscars.
Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan will also return as the show’s executive producers for the fourth consecutive year. Joining them are Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney, who will return as producers for the third time.
“We are thrilled to be working again with Conan, Raj, Katy, Jeff and Mike for the 99th Oscars,” said Kramer and Howell Taylor in a press release. “They are an incredible team and have produced such captivating, entertaining and heartfelt shows over the last two years. We are so grateful for their ongoing partnership as we honor our global film community — and we look forward to Conan superbly leading the celebration with his brilliance and humor.”
O’Brien made his Oscars hosting debut in 2025. He came back for the 98th Oscars this year, where he received positive reviews.
In a press release, Kapoor and Mullan said working with O’Brien for a third year is “really special.”
“He brings that signature humor everyone loves, along with a real warmth and generosity that carry through the entire show,” they said. “He’s a true creative partner, someone we trust completely, and someone who makes the whole process genuinely fun, both behind the scenes and on stage. We’re incredibly grateful to keep building this together and can’t wait to share what’s next.”
The 99th Oscars will air live on ABC and Hulu on March 14, 2027, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

(WASHINGTON) — FBI Director Kash Patel sparred with the Senate Appropriations Committee’s top Democrat over the director’s alleged questionable behavior when Patel appeared before the panel for a budget hearing on Tuesday.
Sen. Chris Van Hollen, the ranking member of the committee, addressed reports of Patel’s alleged misuse of FBI resources and a story in The Atlantic that alleged he has had “bouts of excessive drinking” and job performance issues.
“What we are learning about what’s happening at the FBI is anything but normal,” Van Hollen said. “Director Patel, as you ask for more taxpayer resources, we cannot look away from the credible, extremely troubling reports about your misconduct at the FBI.”
Patel said last month that he’s “never been intoxicated on the job,” following the report. Patel sued The Atlantic over the article, demanding $250 million in damages.
Van Hollen later grilled Patel on the report asking Patel if, per The Atlantic report, he had “episodes of excessive drinking.”
Patel shot back, calling the report a “total farce.”
In a heated exchange, Patel then claimed without evidence that Van Hollen was “slinging margaritas” just over a year ago with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the migrant who the government said in court was erroneously deported to El Salvador.
The moment is a reference to when Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador to meet with Abrego Garcia, who had been deported against a judge’s orders to the notorious CECOT prison. At the time, the senator said at one point during the meeting monitored by the El Salvador government, El Salvador officials put glasses on the table where they were meeting that appeared to have liquid inside with salt or sugar rims on top.
Van Hollen insisted that neither he nor Abrego Garcia touched those glasses and said it was clear they didn’t based on photos of the meeting taken by El Salvadoran officials.
Patel is appearing alongside other Department of Justice agency heads regarding the agencies’ 2027 budget requests. Patel is joined by Drug Enforcement Administration Administrator Terry Cole, United States Marshals Service Director Glady Serralta and Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director Robert Cekada.
When Patel last testified on Capitol Hill in September 2025, he faced questions from Democrats about the assassination of conservative activist and influencer Charlie Kirk and his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

One day Stevie Nicks will write a memoir, but until then we can make do with Lessons & Lace, a biography of the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer that’s due out Sept. 15.
Written by Rachel Brodsky, the book, subtitled “Everything I Know About Dreams, Heartbreak, and Magic I Learned from Stevie Nicks,” isn’t a straight biography. It’s a series of chapters organized around specific themes.
According to a press release, each chapter is focused on a “different life lesson that Stevie has absorbed and later dispensed wisdom on,” drawn from archival interviews and comments from those in Stevie’s circle. There are also full-color line drawings to accompany the “notable quotes to inspire hard-learned, life-changing lessons.”
“Lessons & Lace recounts Stevie‘s path to becoming the wisdom-dispersing fairy godmother we know her as today,” Brodsky says in a statement.
“I think sometimes we forget how much skepticism she faced from the music industry and her peers … the uphill climb she faced to be taken seriously as a true artist and writer, what it took to overcome her struggles with addiction, and how she inspired new generations of musicians to write with their own combinations of vulnerability and strength.”
Brodsky goes on to say that, like her song “Leather & Lace,” Stevie is “soft and hard, romantic and practical, sensual and sensible.” She adds that she hopes readers “walk away feeling inspired to live their lives with Stevie-style authenticity, bravery, and truth.”
Sept. 15, the day of the book’s release, Brodsky will appear at LA’s Book Soup to discuss it.

Paul McCartney has always seemed to have a good sense of humor, but evidently he doesn’t necessarily want to hear people making jokes about him.
Comedian Jeff Ross, who executive produces Netflix’s roast franchise, including the recent roast of comedian Kevin Hart, tells Variety that they offered McCartney the chance to be the subject of a roast, but he declined the opportunity.
“We did ask Paul McCartney at one point. To me, that would be a fantasy roast,” says Ross. “Paul McCartney doesn’t need anything, but a Paul McCartney roast would be good for the world.”
He adds, “It would be so funny to me because he is so loved.”
Instead of people laughing at McCartney, fans are just going to have to be OK with watching McCartney perform his new music on a show filled with laughs. The Beatles legend is set to be the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 16.
In other McCartney news … the rocker is will appear on the BBC Radio 2 show Tracks of My Years, where he’ll reveal the 10 songs that have soundtracked his life. His special episode will air May 25, ahead of the May 29 release of his new solo album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane.
