Iron Maiden has announced a 40th anniversary vinyl reissue of their 1985 live album, Live After Death.

The two-LP set will be released on Dec. 12. It features the 2015 remaster of the original album, which was recorded during Maiden’s World Slavery Tour in support of their 1984 album, Powerslave.

“We were touring our a**** off,” says bassist Steve Harris. “It was literally just, ‘record, tour, record, tour’ – we didn’t stop. [Manager] Rod [Smallwood] was cracking the old whip, and that was the right thing to do.”

“I mean, we were totally up for it, it’s not like we were doing stuff that we didn’t want to do,” Harris continues. “You think you’re invincible – ‘Yeah, we’ll take that on, no problem.’ That’s the way to crack it. It’s the only way for a band like us because we had no radio play whatsoever back then.”

The reissue also includes a replica 24-page tour program and tour pass, as well as an accompanying essay featuring interviews with Harris, Smallwood and drummer Nicko McBrain.

In other Maiden-related news, frontman Bruce Dickinson has shared a video of him performing the U.S. national anthem during a hockey game between the Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche.

Dickinson previously sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at an NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Charli XCX‘s upcoming movie The Moment was inspired by her desire to avoid making a different movie: a documentary capturing her Sweat tour with Troye Sivan.

Speaking to Vanity Fair for a cover story, Charli explains why she didn’t like the idea of documenting the tour. “I feel like my problem with a lot of musician documentaries is it often shows the musician coming up against some kind of opposition and eventually overcoming it to be the hero,” she says. “And that’s just not been my experience, you know?”

Instead she made The Moment, which director Aidan Zamiri tells Vanity Fair is about what would have happened if Charli had made “entirely different choices” around the release and promotion of her iconic album Brat.

Charli says she plays “sort of a hell version of myself” in the film, adding, “It’s not a tour documentary or a concert film in any way, but the seed of the idea was conceived from this idea of being pressured to make one. It’s fiction, but it’s the realest depiction of the music industry that I’ve ever seen.”

The film stars Alexander Skarsgård, who plays, as the actor puts it, “someone the record label convinces Charli is the hottest director out there at the moment; the right person to capture the essence of Charli XCX and get the most out of this phenomenon that Brat was.”

Along with The Moment, Charli is appearing in no less than six other movies, which is why she says she recently stopped getting Botox. It was affecting her ability to use her face to act and making her eyebrows do “crazy” things, she says, though she admits, “I miss it.”

Rachel McAdams is stranded on a deserted island with Dylan O’Brien in the official trailer for Send Help.

20th Century Studios released the trailer for the upcoming film on Tuesday. Spider-Man and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi helmed the new, original darkly comedic psychological thriller film.

McAdams stars as Linda Liddle, a woman who works under her younger supervisor, Bradley Preston, an executive whom she isn’t quite fond of.

The pair ultimately “find themselves stranded on a deserted island after they are the only survivors of a plane crash,” according to an official synopsis. “On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it becomes an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.”

Raimi said in a press release that he’s “always loved stories where interesting, dynamic characters are pushed to extremes. In our story, the power shifts create an escalating situation that’s brimming with unexpected turns and suspense.”

The trailer starts with O’Brien’s Bradley telling McAdams’ Linda she needs to step it up at work, detailing complaints he has with her. We then see the duo on a private plane that crash lands into the ocean. After Linda survives, she washes ashore to find Bradley badly injured.

Linda nurses Bradley back to health while putting in work to make the island a more hospitable place to live.

“Getting us out of here, that should be your focus. Not being Suzy Homemaker over here,” Bradley says. “Let’s not forget, I’m your boss. You work for me.”

“We’re not in the office anymore, Bradley,” she responds.

Send Help crash lands into theaters on Jan. 30, 2026.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and 20th Century Studios.

Welcome to Santa Carla, we have vampires and also Slash.

The Guns N’ Roses guitarist lends his shredding skills to a new song called “Have to Have You,” recorded for the new Broadway musical adaptation of the ’80s cult classic The Lost Boys.

The video for “Have to Have You,” which features footage of Slash recording the track’s solo, is available on YouTube.

Speaking with Billboard, musical cast member Ali Louis Bourzgui recalls what it was like to record with the GN’R legend.

“Slash is sitting down, so chill in his chair and he pulls out his guitar and plays this absolutely insane solo, as he does, in one or two takes and is like, ‘Is that good?'” Bourzgui says. “This incredible, mathematical, insane solo.”

The Lost Boys: A New Musical is set to open at New York City’s Palace Theatre on March 27.

Somehow, The Lost Boys isn’t the only ’80s property getting a revival with some help from Slash. He’s also featured on the theme song for the new movie Deathstalker, a remake of the 1983 fantasy film of the same name.

Jeremy Allen White is opening up about playing “The Boss” in front of The Boss.

White joined Good Morning America Tuesday to discuss his upcoming role in the Bruce Springsteen biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, his relationship with his co-star Jeremy Strong, playing the guitar and more.

White said that at first, seeing Springsteen on set made it difficult to portray him.

“I think at first, like any job, you get to set, you’re feeling a little insecure, you’re trying to figure things out,” White recalled. “It was hard when I’m looking at the man across the way, and I know I’m not him, because I’m looking at him.”

The actor added that Springsteen’s presence on set soon became a benefit.

“He kept showing up, and it became more and more normal. And then I feel like it was necessary,” White said. “His presence was giving us all a lot of permission and making sure that we were staying on the honest path.”

White also discussed his relationship with Strong, who plays Springsteen’s manager and friend Jon Landau.

“I love Jeremy Strong so much. I’ve been an admirer of his for a very long time,” White said, adding that he had long desired to work alongside the Succession star. “He is so thorough in his approach. I just trusted him so quickly and immediately.”

White said Strong understood and empathized with the task White was taking on.

“I think he also saw that I was trying to portray Bruce Springsteen, and that was a difficult thing to do. There was a lot of pressure. I think Jeremy became this sort of protector, and caregiver for me during the process of making the movie,” White said, likening the relationship to the real-life Landau and Springsteen.

White also discussed learning guitar for the film, sharing that he had never picked up a guitar prior to preparing for the movie. He said he learned to play on an instrument Springsteen gave him personally.

White also recalled sharing his excitement for learning guitar with his instructor, who he said responded, “We don’t have time to learn how to play the guitar. I’m going to teach you how to play these five Bruce Springsteen songs and that’s it.”

“So I feel still very ill-equipped,” he added.

Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere hits theaters Oct. 24.

Teyana Taylor has released the music video for “Hard Part” featuring Lucky Daye.

In the song, they grapple with changes they notice in their relationship, which appears to be unraveling. The video captures Lucky, overwhelmed with emotion, looking out the window in his home, while Teyana stumbles down a dirt road. Lucky then hops into his car and runs into Teyana, who gets in for the ride. The two spend the drive processing their thoughts, before making a pit stop at the gas station.

“I got a few questions for you/ S*** is gettin’ real confusin’/ Do you want this or do you don’t?” Teyana sings, to which Lucky later responds, “I can feel you from here/ Closing spaces we fill up with tears/ Time and energy lost, can’t get back/ Don’t want to feel all these feelings I’m feelin’, I can’t react.”

“Hard Part” was directed by Teyana’s The Aunties Inc. production company and shot against the landscape of Joshua Tree. It marks the latest in Teyana’s rollout for her comeback album, Escape Room, which marked her first studio album since retiring in 2020; the project was accompanied by the release of a homonymous short film.

(WASHINGTON) — Dozens of employees at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration were laid off in the wave of government shutdown firings last week, multiple sources told ABC News.

Best known for overseeing the rollout of the 988 suicide prevention hotline, SAMHSA works with state and local governments on mental health and addiction initiatives and gives out billions in grants.

The firings, which began Friday, include widespread layoffs of staff that oversee child, adolescent and family mental health services, sources told ABC News.

Roughly one in 10 of SAMHSA’s 900 staff were fired in the spring Department of Government Efficiency cuts. Other staff were recently transferred to other programs in the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees SAMHSA.

A HHS spokesperson told ABC News that employees who received a Reduction in Force notice “were deemed non-essential by their respective division.”

While the impacts of these latest firings are still being determined, a source tells ABC the agency was “hard hit.”

ABC News’ Will McDuffie contributed to this report.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide — free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call or text the national lifeline at 988.

The runtimes for the final episodes of Stranger Things have been revealed.

After it was falsely reported by several viral social media posts and a Puck News article from Oct. 6 that every single episode of the fifth and final season would run longer than 90 minutes, Stranger Things co-creator Ross Duffer took to Instagram on Monday to clear up the rumors.

“ACTUAL runtimes,” he captioned a video showing off the first four episode titles and their respective lengths.

The season 5 premiere, titled “The Crawl,” will run for one hour and eight minutes. Only the first part of episode 2’s title has been revealed; so far, we know it begins with “The Vanishing of …” and that the episode is 54 minutes long. Finally, episode 3 is called “The Turnbow Trap,” and will run for one hour and six minutes, while episode 4 is called “Sorcerer,” and lasts for one hour and 23 minutes.

Netflix is releasing season 5 in three different drops. The first four episodes arrive on Nov. 26, just ahead of Thanksgiving, while the following three episodes will debut on Dec. 25. The series finale of Stranger Things premieres on Dec. 31.

Returning for the final season are stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer and Joe Keery.

The Hawkins crew all work together to defeat the villainous Vecna and save their hometown once and for all in season 5.

“As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before,” according to the season’s official synopsis. “To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
