On Tuesday night’s edition of Dancing With the Stars, Pentatonix member Scott Hoying and his husband, Mark Manio Hoying, shared some exciting news: They’re going to be parents.

During the video package that ran prior to Scott and partner Rylee Arnold‘s performance, Mark told Rylee, “We have one more piece of news for you: We’re having a baby. Our surrogate is pregnant!” Scott said, “We’re gonna be dads!”

“We’ve dreamed of this our whole lives,” Mark added. “Scott’s gonna be the best dad in the whole world.”

On the show, Scott dedicated his foxtrot to Mark and performed it to his own song, “Parallel.”

After the show, Scott told ABC’s Good Morning America, “It’s gonna be the greatest joy of my life to raise a child with [Mark].”

Scott and Mark also posted a video on TikTok capturing the emotional moment when they learned of their impending fatherhood.

In September, Scott told ABC Audio of the duo’s dream of becoming parents, saying, “It’s a long journey, but we are closer than ever.” Mark added, “We’ve wanted to start a family since the day we got married, over two years ago, but you know for some families it takes just a little longer and we’re being patient.”

Scott and Pentatonix will release their new album, Christmas in the City, on Oct. 24.

Bette Midler infamously serenaded Johnny Carson before he signed off The Tonight Show in 1992 and now she’s done the same for The Late Show host Stephen Colbert, whose show was canceled by CBS in July.

Midler appeared on The Late Show Tuesday night to talk about her New York Restoration Project’s annual Hulaween benefit, but used the appearance to sing a song dedicated to Colbert, set to her classic tune “Wind Beneath My Wings.”

Midler told Colbert she wrote the song because she “wanted to thank you personally and publicly for all you did for me these last 9 1/2 years,” noting, “I mean this from the bottom of my heart … I would not have made it through without you.”

“You were a voice of sanity and honesty, and most important, honor,” she added.

Being that Colbert is a huge Lord of the Rings fan, Midler sang, “Did you ever know that you’re my Frodo? You stand for what’s right with wit and class.”

She also got in a few digs at President Donald Trump in the song.

“I hold you high as the great eagles, because you never kissed the orange a**,” she sang, repeating the last line a few times and even getting the audience to sing along with her.

The New York Restoration Project’s annual Hulaween benefit is Oct. 24. Tickets are available at nyrp.org/hulaween.

Wildlife conservationist, photographer and zookeeper Robert Irwin delivered an emotional contemporary routine on Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night, dedicating his performance to his mom, Terri Irwin.

The 21-year-old even brought his mom out in the routine’s final moments, and the mother-son duo shared a hug at the end.

“I’m incredibly honoured that Robert thought of me,” Terri Irwin wrote in an Instagram post over the weekend, ahead of her son’s performance. “Steve and I always talked about how much it meant to us to be parents. So much love. This will be a special night.”

Terri Irwin raised her two children — Robert Irwin and Bindi Irwin — after her husband, Steve Irwin, died in 2006 from an injury caused by a stingray.

Robert Irwin and his professional dance partner, Witney Carson, danced to Phil Collins‘ 2002 ballad “You’ll Be in My Heart” for Tuesday night’s performance, and the two earned their best score of the season so far.

Robert Irwin also reflected in an Instagram post on what he previously called an “emotional week in rehearsals.”

“My mum and dad created a legacy that l’m proud to continue. I hope I can use this dance to share what she means to me, to our family, and to say thank you for always supporting me through life’s ups and downs,” he wrote.

After the show, he added in an Instagram Story post, “I will remember tonight forever. Thank you.”

Turnstile is the face of a new Fender product campaign.

The guitar company’s American Professional Classic line features new editions of some of its most famous models, including the Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jaguar, updated with an enhanced neck profile, new Coastline pickups and upgraded hardware.

All that adds up to instruments that are “engineered to support creative expression, inspire performance and deliver consistency on every stage,” Fender says in a press release.

“When you’re in a different place constantly, sometimes the most familiar thing is the guitar that you bring every single night,” says Turnstile guitarist Pat McCrory. “We look for something that sounds the same every time, sounds exactly how you want it, but also has versatility because spaces change. Sometimes you play outside, sometimes it sounds different, sometimes you play inside or there’s noise lighting. Having some durability but flexibility is very important.”

Turnstile released their latest album, NEVER ENOUGH, in June.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that Justin Timberlake‘s biggest musical influence was Michael Jackson, but it turns out that neo-soul pioneer D’Angelo, who died Tuesday of pancreatic cancer at age 51, was his true north star.

Justin posted a photo of himself at age 19 with the R&B star, best known for his song “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” and its sexy naked video, on his Instagram Story, along with a heartfelt essay. “I’ll never forget hearing Brown Sugar for the first time. It changed me. You changed me,” he wrote about D’Angelo’s classic 1995 debut album.

“It was the most pivotal moment in establishing confidence in my own voice,” he continued. “For the first time, I heard a sound that reflected the sounds I grew up with — early R&B, but ‘now’ it was intertwined with a modern edge. The chords and arrangement carried a mixture of church/jazz/funk. The harmonies delicately dancing with one another. It sat in my spirit and always will.”

JT then writes that he was “changed once again” by D’Angelo’s second album, Voodoo, which he calls “absolutely transcendent.” He says seeing D’Angelo during that tour was “one of the best concert experiences of my life,” and recalls meeting the singer backstage “and tell[ing] you how in awe I was of you.”

“You were very kind. Under-spoken. I will never forget that,” he adds.

After praising D’Angelo’s third and final album, Black Messiah, Justin concludes, “You took R&B and put it in all capitals. Meshed it with something else and changed the landscape. Made it something more. Your contribution will always be remembered.”

He concluded, “1 of 1. RIP trailblazer. With love, one of your biggest fans.”

Suspect charged with kidnapping in connection to disappearance of 23-year-old Philadelphia woman: Police
Officials in Philadelphia are searching for Kada Scott, a 23 year old woman who has been missing for nearly a week. Philadelphia Police Department

(PHILADELPHIA) — A suspect has been arrested in connection to the disappearance of a 23-year-old woman who was allegedly harassed by an unknown individual before she went missing. However, the search continues for the missing nursing assistant, Philadelphia police said.

Kada Scott was last seen by her mother on Oct. 4 when she was leaving for work at a nearby nursing home, police said last week. On Wednesday, police said Keon King, 21, has been charged with kidnapping “for his involvement” in the disappearance of Scott.

While King is in custody in connection to Scott’s disappearance, officials said “a lot of work” is still to be done in the investigation, and they are “still treating this as if Ms. Scott is still alive.”

“The No. 1 priority is locating Ms. Scott,” John M. Stanford, the first deputy commissioner for field operations at the Philadelphia Police Department, said on Wednesday.

Scott arrived at work on Oct. 4, but left prior to her shift’s completion, and has not been seen since, Philadelphia police Capt. John Craig said during a press conference last week. It was not clear what time Scott left work, but officials said her shift typically was from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Scott was reported missing to police on Oct. 5, with law enforcement saying they had “some concern, more so than usual” regarding her disappearance due to worrying phone calls she was receiving.

“In the days leading up to her disappearance, Ms. Scott related to her family and friends that an unknown individual or person had been harassing her via phone,” Craig said last week.

Officials were able to recover Scott’s vehicle, which was located in the parking lot of the nursing home where she worked, Craig said.

On Tuesday, police told ABC News the investigation was being led by the the Homicide Unit, but said they were not characterizing it as a homicide investigation.

The 23-year-old’s father, Kevin Scott, told ABC News the family remains confident “she’s gonna be with us as soon as possible.”

“It’s been difficult, extremely difficult. We keep faith that she’s OK and she’s going to be with us as soon as possible, she’s going to be found and hopefully no harm is done to her. I’m going to keep that positive vibe going,” Kevin Scott told ABC News.

ABC News’ Tommy Foster and Sabina Ghebremedhin contributed to this report.
