Carly Pearce is headed for musical summer camp in a matter of days, as she and Max McNown serve as guest artists for Grammy Camp in Nashville.
For the program’s 22nd year, 208 high school students from 163 cities and 35 states will get to chase their dreams.
“The most important bridge between a dream and reality is simply an open door,” Grammy Museum CEO Michael Sticka says. “For more than two decades, Grammy Camp has opened that door for high school students, offering access, mentorship and real-world experience that transforms potential into possibility.”
The Nashville edition will take place May 31 to June 6 at the Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business that’s part of Belmont University.
Additional camps are set for Miami, New York and Los Angeles later this summer, with Richard Marx, Frankie Grande and more on board.
Jelly Roll’s also one of the artists who’s helping out Grammy Camp with scholarship and program support.

As Stephen Colbert gets ready to sign off The Late Show, he enlisted Talking Heads frontman David Byrne to help him with his sendoff.
Byrne appeared on Colbert’s Tuesday night show for a special performance of the Talking Heads classic “Burning Down the House.” Midway through the song, Byrne, dressed all in blue, was joined by musicians and dancers all dressed in similar blue outfits, while screens in the background projected a raging fire.
The song ended with Colbert coming out in the same blue outfit, dancing along with the performers.
Colbert is in his final week of The Late Show, with Bruce Springsteen set to perform on Wednesday. Colbert will sign off The Late Show on Thursday; no guests for the finale have been revealed.
CBS announced in July 2025 that it was canceling The Late Show, noting the decision to end the late-night talker was a financial one. David Letterman launched The Late Show in 1993, and Colbert took over when Letterman left in 2015.

Hun includes the previously released songs “Warrior Chant,” “The Men” and “The Real You.” A fourth cut, titled “Lost Soul” and featuring Nothing More frontman Jonny Hawkins, is out now.
“We have been unpacking our surprises one by one,” says Hu member Galaa. “Hunnu Rock transcends through culture and in that respect, we have made ‘Lost Soul’ with Jonny Hawkins.”
Galaa continues, “To be not lost on your life journey, not losing your values, and go through life and having a courage to face the life obstacles are messages we are sending our fans through this song ‘Lost Soul’ and in our next album, HUN.”
The Hu is currently touring the U.S. with Apocalyptica.
BTS is the latest act to be added to the lineup of the American Music Awards, taking place Memorial Day, May 25, in Las Vegas.
The K-pop superstars will make a special appearance on the telecast, their first on any awards show in four years. It’ll be a full-circle moment for the group, since their first-ever U.S. TV performance took place on the 2017 American Music Awards.
Since then, they’ve gone on to win 11 AMAs, and they’re up for three more this year: artist of the year, best male K-pop artist and song of the summer for “SWIM,” the first single from their current album, ARIRANG.
BTS’ appearance will come in the middle of their four shows at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, which kick off May 23.
Queen Latifah is set to host the AMAs, which will air live on CBS and on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. As previously reported, the lineup features performances from sombr, Teddy Swims, The Pussycat Dolls, Hootie & the Blowfish, KATSEYE, Twenty One Pilots and more. Newly minted Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Billy Idol will perform and receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dave Grohl and company have premiered the visual for “Of All People,” a track off the band’s new album, Your Favorite Toy. It features footage of the Swiss extreme skiing collective BPC, which endeavors to ski on surfaces other than snow, including grass and pavement.
“Just when I thought I’d seen it all, I discovered BPC and snowless skiing,” Grohl says in a statement. “It’s either the gnarliest extreme sport I’ve ever seen, the most fun anyone can have before a guaranteed trip to the hospital, or both. It’s an honor to be the soundtrack to this madness.”

(WASHINGTON) — Barney Frank, the former Massachusetts congressman who championed Wall Street reform and served as one of the first openly gay members of Congress, has died at 86, sources told ABC News.
The former U.S. representative served as chairman of the powerful House Financial Services Committee from 2007 to 2011 and was a leading co-sponsor of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act, which was enacted in response to the 2008 financial crisis.

(LONDON) — Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing on Wednesday, with the two leaders releasing a joint statement urging an end to the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran as a matter of “utmost urgency.”
“The sides agree that military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran breach international law and fundamental norms of international relations and seriously undermine stability in the Middle East,” the joint statement published on the Kremlin website said.
The statement stressed “the need for a return as soon as possible of the conflicting parties to dialogue and negotiations aimed to prevent the conflict zone from spreading and urged the international community to maintain an objective and impartial position, to assist de-escalation, and to defend the fundamental norms of international relations together.”
The two leaders also condemned what they called “treacherous military strikes against other countries, the hypocritical use of negotiations as cover for preparing such strikes, the assassination of leaders of sovereign states, the destabilization of the domestic political situation in these states and the provocation of regime change, and the brazen kidnapping of national leaders for trial.”
Moscow and Beijing have both been key partners for Tehran in recent years, as the U.S. and its European allies have sought to weaken the Islamic Republic through international sanctions and diplomatic isolation.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine since 2022 prompted the fostering of deeper military and economic ties between Moscow and Tehran, with Iranian munitions — in particular Iranian-designed Shahed strike drones — playing a key role in Russia’s ongoing campaign.
China, meanwhile, remains a key customer of Iranian oil, with some analysts estimating that Beijing accounts for up to 90% of Tehran’s crude exports.
China has been pushing for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict in Iran, which began with joint U.S.-Israeli strikes all across the country on Feb. 28. Beijing says it has been coordinating closely with Pakistan, which has emerged as a key mediator in as-yet unsuccessful peace talks between Washington and Tehran.
Following the meeting between Xi and Putin, both sides expressed support for the other’s “territorial integrity.”
Russia, Putin said — according to the Kremlin readout — “reaffirms its commitment to the One China principle and recognizes the existence of only one China. Taiwan is its integral part, and the government of the People’s Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing all of China.”
China, the readout said, “supports Russia’s efforts towards the provision of security, stability, national development, prosperity, sovereignty and territorial integrity and ‘opposes external interference in Russian internal affairs.'”

(WASHINGTON) — The Justice Department is expected to announce charges against Raul Castro, sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.
The charges are expected to include allegations of murder for shooting down two planes carrying humanitarian aid to desperate migrants in the 1990s that resulted in the deaths of three American pilots.
The charges will be announced in a press conference this afternoon.
