Taylor Swift sends guitars to little girl and her musician neighbor following viral TikTok

You never know when Taylor Swift will see your Taylor Swift-centric content. That’s what parents in Ohio experienced after a TikTok video featuring their young daughter and one of their neighbors went viral.

In the TikTok, an 8-year-old girl named Madeline hears her musician neighbor playing guitar on his porch. She writes him a note on a paper airplane requesting that he play a Taylor Swift song and throws it into his yard. After the girl’s stepfather alerts the neighbor, Ethan Hayes, to the request, he plays “Love Story” as the little girl sings along while watching from her window.

The video quickly racked up millions of views — including one from Taylor.

As People reports, Taylor sent Madeline a guitar and a handwritten note, in which she told Madeline that she “brought the biggest smile to my face” with her request. She added, “I’m sending you your own guitar in case you ever want to learn too!”

Meanwhile, Taylor’s team contacted Ethan and told him a gift was headed his way, as well.

“They’re like, ‘Hey, Taylor saw your video. We want to send you something. Don’t tell anyone until it gets there,'” Ethan told People. “I was expecting maybe a signed poster or something. And then she sent us guitars, which is insane.”

Dexter and the Moonrocks have premiered a new song called “12 Steps,” which features the country rock band Treaty Oak Revival.

“We’ve always loved songs that toe the line between ‘is he talking about a woman or schedule 1 narcotics?’ So we decided, why not write one?” the “Sad in Carolina” outfit says in a statement. “Very excited we get to have a band like Treaty Oak Revival feature on this song. We’ve been massive fans of them forever, and it’s cool to represent Texas together.”

“12 Steps” follows Dexter’s single “Freakin’ Out,” which currently sits at #3 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart. “Freakin’ Out” is also the first Dexter song to chart on the all-genre Hot 100.

Dexter and the Moonrocks will launch a U.S. tour in June.

White House says Americans in Africa exposed to Ebola will be sent to Kenya facility

(WASHINGTON) — The White House confirmed Wednesday that the U.S. is setting up a health facility in Kenya to receive Americans who are exposed to the Ebola virus while in regions affected by the ongoing outbreak.

According to an administration official, the U.S. will establish what they called a “state-of-the-art facility” in Kenya “through a coordinated effort with the Departments of State, Health and Human Services, and War.”

The news was first reported by The New York Times.

The official said that the purpose and design of the facility would be to “provide access to high-quality care for Americans who would need to quickly get out” of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to quarantine, and argued that it would cut down on the “risks of a lengthy transport back to the U.S.”

“Time is of the essence for Ebola patients, and this facility will enable Americans in the region who contract Ebola to receive lifesaving care as quickly as possible without 12-plus hours of medevac flight time,” the official said.

The official added that the treatment capabilities at the Kenya facility are “expected to be able to care for the full-spectrum of Ebola Virus Disease, including critical care needs,” but added that patients would be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for possible “forward transport” for more advanced care as needed.

The White House did not immediately respond to an ABC News request for additional specifics regarding patients who would be quarantined and treated at the facility.

The president previously invoked his authority under Title 42, barring travel to the U.S. for non-citizens, with specific exceptions, who have visited the DRC, Uganda, or South Sudan within the last 21 days. The order was expanded last week to include U.S. green card holders.

American citizens who have visited those countries are being directed to specific U.S. airports for additional health screening, including Dulles International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

The news comes as New York-based International Rescue Committee (IRC) aid organization warned on Tuesday that the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the DRC and neighboring Uganda is now spreading faster than responders can contain it and risks becoming “the deadliest on record” without urgent international action.

“The outbreak is spreading faster than the response, with over 900 suspected cases and at least 223 deaths already reported across DRC and Uganda, including in major transport hubs like Goma and Kampala,” the IRC wrote.

Paul McCartney’s sitting on an unheard Prince cover of a Beatles song

The Beatles are among the most-covered artists of all time, but there’s one cover that has yet to see the light of day — though Paul McCartney really wants it to be released.

While appearing on the BBC Radio 2 segment The Tracks of My Years, where artists pick their favorites songs, McCartney chose Prince’s “Kiss” and revealed that he was told awhile back that Prince had covered one of his songs.

“I was with some guy a couple of years ago, it was after Prince had died, and this guy said, ‘Have you heard Prince do “Long and Winding Road”?'” McCartney recalled. “I said, ‘I don’t think he ever did it.'”

McCartney said the man, who he believes was Prince’s photographer, told him that Prince had done the song in rehearsal, and offered to send it to him.

“It’s really great,” McCartney said. “And so I’m gonna sorta ask them if they — ’cause I could make it into something really good.”

“It’s kinda rocky. He plays some really good guitar on it,” Sir Paul added. “No, he was a special guy, you know. It’s so sad, these people, you know, they’re like — suddenly, he’s not here. And it always makes me wish that I’d known him better. … It’s such a shame ’cause they’re such talents.”

He referred to Prince as “a wizard.”

Other songs that McCartney chose included The Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me,” Elvis Presley’s “All Shook Up,” The Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows,” John Lennon’s “Imagine” and Bob Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man.” Despite the fact that Paul is one of the world’s most famous and successful musicians, he admitted that he’s always “a little bit nervous” to approach Dylan.

‘Enola Holmes 3’ trailer finds Millie Bobby Brown as a bride-to-be solving new mystery

Enola Holmes is back, this time as a bride-to-be.

Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for the third installment in the film series about Sherlock Holmes’ brilliant younger sister.

Millie Bobby Brown is back as the titular detective in the movie, while Louis Partridge and Henry Cavill also return as Tewkesbury and Sherlock Holmes, respectively.

Joining them are Himesh Patel as John Watson, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.

This time around, Enola is headed abroad to take on a case in the island nation of Malta.

According to Netflix, “adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide in a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.”

The trailer teases just exactly what the treacherous case is. We first see Tewkesbury propose, as well as Enola’s direct-to-camera address reaction it: “Yes, I was surprised, too,” she says.

Afterward, Enola, while en route to the church wearing her white gown, is informed that her brother Sherlock has been kidnapped. She inadvertently leaves Tewkesbury at the alter by himself, seemingly missing her own wedding ceremony.

Philip Barantini directed Enola Holmes 3 from a script by Jack Thorne, which is based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer.

In addition to starring, Brown produces the film while her husband, Jake Bongiovi, executive produces.

Enola Holmes 3 will make its streaming debut on July 1.

Sepultura announces date for last-ever concert

Brazilian metal institution Sepultura has announced the date for the band’s last-ever concert.

The show will take place Nov. 7 at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu in São Paulo, Brazil. Presales begin Thursday, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday.

Sepultura first announced they were embarking on a farewell tour in 2023. Their final North American tour kicked off in April and will wrap up Friday in Los Angeles.

Sepultura was founded in 1984 by brothers Max Cavalera and Iggor Cavalera, though neither is currently in the band. Guitarist Andreas Kisser recently told Metal Hammer that he reached out to the Cavalera brothers to be part of the final Sepultura concert, but they declined the invitation.

BossMan Dlow teams with Yung Miami, Bally Baby for Motion Party tour

On his song “Motion Party,” BossMan Dlow raps, “This a motion party, you cannot get in.” This time, however, he’s creating an opportunity for fans to gain access.

The Motion Party tour will feature Yung Miami and special guest Bally Baby, who will travel with BossMan to 25 cities to perform for their fans. The trek kicks off July 16 in St. Petersburg, Florida, and wraps Aug. 29 in Orlando. Other cities on the bill include Atlanta, Cleveland, LA, Las Vegas, Dallas and New York.

Tickets for The Motion Party tour, named after BossMan’s Chicken Talkin Bastard single “Motion Party,” go on sale through a venue/artist presale Thursday at 10 a.m. local time. General sales will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean to reveal full solo tour details on Father’s Day

Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean released his solo EP Hi, My Name Is Alex on Nov. 27, his daughter’s birthday, and his album My Name Is Alexander James on Jan. 9, which is his birthday. Now he’s chosen another special day to reveal details of his upcoming solo tour.

“I’m so excited about my upcoming solo tour, I had to give you a sneak peek of some of the dates,” he wrote on Instagram. “Tickets are on sale now! The full tour to be announced on Father’s Day, June 21st.”

The dates he’s revealed so far are Oct. 20 in Brooklyn, New York; Oct. 24 in Montclair, New Jersey; Oct. 25 in Huntington, New York; and Nov. 6 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

“We are just getting started,” he wrote on the post. “A few cities… A few nights… Only the beginning.”

Based on those dates, it appears as though AJ is going to wait for Backstreet to finish all their live obligations for 2026 before hitting the road solo. They’re scheduled to return to Sphere Las Vegas on July 16. After they finish there on Aug. 29, they’ll take a brief break before heading to Germany for their residency in Dusseldorf, which runs from Sept. 25 through Oct. 7.

Yes announces new live album, ‘Live at Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, 17 June 1976’

Yes has announced a new live album called Live at Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, 17 June 1976.

The record is due out July 17. It showcases the lineup of vocalist Jon Anderson, guitarist Steve Howe, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Alan White and pianist Patrick Moraz, which played together on the 1974 Yes album, Relayer.

Live at Roosevelt Stadium includes renditions of songs including “Roundabout,” “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Long Distance Runaround” and “Heart of the Sunrise,” as well as a cover of the Beatles song “I’m Down.”

The current incarnation of Yes will release a new album called Aurora on June 12.

Green Bay Packers’ Josh Jacobs arrested on domestic abuse charges

(GREEN BAY, Wis.) — Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested on domestic abuse charges in Wisconsin on Tuesday, police said.

Jacobs, 28, was arrested and booked into the Brown County jail on three domestic abuse charges — battery, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct, according to the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department.

He was also booked on two other charges — intimidation of a victim and strangulation and suffocation, police said.

The strangulation and suffocation charge is a felony and the others are misdemeanors, online jail records show.

The charges stem from a “disturbance complaint” that officers responded to Saturday morning, Hobart-Lawrence Police Department Chief Michael Renkas said in a press release.

Jacobs was arrested Tuesday following an investigation, Renkas said. He is being held without bond, online jail records show.

“This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time,” Renkas said.

In a statement, his attorneys said Jacobs “vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public.”

“We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course,” the statement from his attorneys, David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac, continued.

A Packers spokesperson said they are “aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs.”

“As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment,” the statement added.

Jacobs is entering his third season with the Packers.

He began playing in the NFL in 2019, as a first-round pick of the Oakland Raiders, and was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team. He is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and led the league in rushing yards in 2022.
