Johnny Marr has announced a new signature guitar with Fender.
The Limited-Edition Johnny Marr Signature Special Jaguar is said to offer an “expansive tonal range that spans from bright, jangly rhythms to smooth, singing leads.”
“The Jaguar has been central to my sound and style for nearly 15 years,” Marr says. “With this new model, I wanted to create an instrument that feels classic but also pushes players to explore new tones and possibilities. Fender has once again brought that vision to life in a way that I didn’t think could be possible until now.”
The former Smiths guitarist continues, “From my work with The Cribs playing gritty in your face indie, to the cinematic soundscapes I crafted with Hans Zimmer, the Jaguar has been an incredible asset in helping me expand my sound, no matter the genre or the occasion.”
The guitar costs $2,999.99 and is available now via Fender.com.
Ariana Grande attends the ‘Wicked: For Good’ European Premiere at Cineworld London Leicester Square on November 10, 2025 in London, England. (Samir Hussein/WireImage)
Unlike the press tour for Wicked,Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are not sticking to pink and green for their promotion of the sequel, Wicked: For Good — but their fashions aren’t any less meaningful.
British Voguereports that at the London premiere of the film Monday night, Ari wore a one-shouldered black ballgown originally designed by Gilbert Adrian for the 1952 movie Lovely to Look At. Adrian was the original costume designer behind the classic 1939 Wizard of Oz film, creating Glinda’s famous bubble dress for Billie Burke and Judy Garland‘s ruby slippers, among other iconic looks.
“We bought this piece … [to] now have it in our personal vintage collection, and to wear something made by him on this carpet, feels so emotional and meaningful,” Ari tells British Vogue. “[Stylist] Law [Roach] and I cried many times during this fitting.”
As for why she chose a black gown, Ari explains that it reflects the darker, “more mature, more emotional” tone of the new film. “It still feels like an extension of Glinda’s story arc. We’re just telling a different part of her story,” she notes.
The darker look, combined with her darker hair, prompted Vogue to ask Ari if she feels she’s slowly returning back to herself. “I … don’t feel like I’m necessarily returning to Ariana Grande. I have been here this whole time, learning and evolving, as we all do and are supposed to,” she replies.
“If anything, I already found my way back home through doing the work. Glinda helped me feel more connected to myself than I had in a long time,” she adds. “I just have light brown hair now, that’s all. Though it’s washing out quite rapidly!”

The album, being released digitally, and on CD and 180g vinyl, features nine new songs, with the sound of the record described in a press release as a cross between three of Jackson’s previous albums, 2019’s Fool, 1991’s Laughter and Lust and 1982’s Night and Day, the latter of which featured Jackson’s top-10 hit “Steppin’ Out.”
Jackson has also announced a new tour in support of the album, which will have him playing more than 80 shows and visiting 14 countries. North American dates kick off May 11 in Poughkeepsie, New York, wrapping July 18 in New York City. He then heads to the U.K. and Europe in September.

Timothée Chalamet stars in the official trailer for Marty Supreme.
A24 released the trailer for Josh Safdie‘s upcoming drama film on Tuesday. It finds Chalamet playing a ping-pong prodigy named Marty Mauser, who is “a young man with a dream no one respects” that “goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness,” according to its official logline.
The trailer starts with Marty in bed with a famous movie star, who is played by Gwyneth Paltrow.
“Do you make money at this little table tennis thing?” she asks him.
“Not yet,” he responds. Paltrow then asks him if he has a job, and when he says he doesn’t, she asks him how he lives.
“Well, I live with the confidence if I believe in myself, the money will follow,” he says, adding that the thought of not succeeding “doesn’t even enter my consciousness.”
Safdie directed the film from a script he wrote with Ronald Bronstein.
The cast is also made up of those making their feature film acting debut. Tyler, The Creator co-stars in the film and is billed as Tyler Okonma, while Shark Tank‘s Mr. Wonderful also appears in the film, credited as Kevin O’Leary.
Odessa A’zion, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher also star in the upcoming movie.
Marty Supreme arrives in theaters on Christmas Day.
Megan Moroney‘s emerging from the trademark blue that signified her second album, Am I Okay?, and walking into the signature pink that denotes her third album, Cloud 9.
Set to arrive Feb. 20, 2026, the album cover shows Megan suspended on a ladder from the heavens, against a sky of pink clouds. The backless gown she’s wearing seems to be made of the same cotton-candy-like substance.
“I am so excited for my fans and I to dive into this new world of Cloud 9 together,” Megan says. “Similar to the first two albums, it’s all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been.”
“My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry,” she continues, “and it was fun to play around sonically, while still sticking to my roots of what my fans and I love. Cloud 9 is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet.”
The back cover, which she shared on her socials, seems to indicate there are 15 songs on the record, though the titles are obscured save for three: the title track, her current single “Six Months Later,” and the recently released “Beautiful Things.”
Stay tuned to learn more about the new record, as Megan heads into Nov. 19’s CMA Awards tied for the most nominations with Ella Langley, with six apiece.
Barry Manilow films video for ‘Once Before I Go’ (Christopher DeVargas)
Barry Manilow is such an icon that he doesn’t just make a video: He releases a “music film.”
In this case, it’s for his current single, “Once Before I Go.” Filmed at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, where Manilow does his regular residency, it opens in 1976, as a crowd cheers for Barry and a woman sits in a backstage corridor, dejectedly reading a letter.
The video then cuts back and forth between the woman and Barry in the present day, who keeps imagining her — along with a young girl and a little boy. According to a press release, Barry is portraying “a character who sacrifices a traditional family life to pursue his dream as a performer.”
“Once Before I Go,” whose lyrics reflect the fact that Manilow, 82, has been giving farewell concerts in select U.S. cities, was produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. Manilow’s next run of farewell shows begins Jan. 6 in Sunrise, Florida.
Also in 2026, Manilow is set to receive the President’s Award from the American Advertising Federation, in recognition of the fact that, prior to finding stardom, he produced, composed and sang iconic commercial jingles for brands including State Farm, Band-Aids, Dr. Pepper, KFC and McDonald’s. He later famously performed those songs on his1977 #1 album Barry Manilow Live, under the title “A Very Strange Medley.”

(ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif.) — Two people have been arrested in a man’s 1993 cold case murder, including the mother of his two children, Northern California authorities announced.
On June 17, 1993, Zachary Jackson, 30, was found shot to death in his home in Hayward, about 30 miles from San Francisco, Alameda County Sheriff’s Detective Pat Smyth said. Authorities believe Jackson was killed around June 14.
Now the mother of Jackson’s children, Veronica Fonseca, and her boyfriend from 1993, Anthony Fox, are in custody for his murder, Smyth said at a news conference on Monday.
“We believe they were both there and that Mr. Fox was the one who pulled the trigger,” he said.
In 1993, Jackson and Fonseca shared a 4-year-old daughter — who was in Jackson’s custody — and a 1-year-old son, who was in Fonseca’s custody, Smyth said.
Fonseca was interviewed several times during the initial investigation, but nothing at the time led investigators to believe she was involved, Smyth said. Fox wasn’t interviewed at the time, Smyth said, adding that investigators at first focused on a dispute between Jackson and his landlord.
“In 1993, they did not have a lot of the things that we have available to us today, investigatively, to find leads,” Smyth explained. “No electronic footprint like we have these days. They relied heavily on witnesses, fingerprint, that sort of thing. DNA was in its infancy.”
“Without any viable leads,” Smyth said, the case went cold.
In 2014, a tipster reported having information about who was responsible and identified Fonseca and Fox, Smyth said.
But over the next year or so, investigators “encountered a roadblock” that stalled the case, Smyth said.
Several more years passed, and in 2021, someone left an anonymous tip on the sheriff department’s website identifying Fonseca and Fox, he said.
Smyth interviewed the tipster, but he said there was still an “impediment in the case.” He did not elaborate on the impediment.
“The case really didn’t move forward until this year, when we developed an investigative plan to try to bring this case forward,” Smyth said.
Over the last few months, “there’s been a lot of investigative resources poured into this case,” Smyth said, and more witnesses cooperated and “told a similar story as to our previous tipsters.”
On Thursday, Fonseca was arrested in New York City and Fox was arrested in Iowa on charges of murder and first-degree residential burglary, according to Smyth and the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. Fonseca and Fox have not yet been transferred to Alameda County, officials said.
Smyth declined to discuss the evidence against them but called the case a “good example of what happens when good people have the courage to come forward … coupled with law enforcement leveraging all investigative resources to bring a resolution.”

Sam Fender is donating his Mercury Prize winnings to the Music Venue Trust charity, which supports U.K. grassroots venues.
The Mercury Prize, which recognizes the year’s best album from a U.K. or Irish artist, comes with a monetary award of £25,000, or about $33,000. Fender won the 2025 Mercury Prize with his album People Watching.
“I wouldn’t be doing what I am doing today if it wasn’t for all the gigs I played around the North East, and beyond, when I was starting out,” Fender says in a press statement. “These venues are legendary, but they are struggling.”
“This is an incredible gesture by Sam, demonstrating once again that artists absolutely understand how vital Grassroots Music Venues are to their careers and to their communities,” adds Music Venue Trust CEO Mark Davyd. “We are honored to accept this donation and will ensure every penny of it makes a direct difference to the campaign to keep live music at the heart of our towns and cities.”
