The rapper known as Lil TJay has been charged in connection with an incident involving rapper Offset, who was shot Monday outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, according to authorities.

Lil TJay, whose legal name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was taken into custody at the Broward County Jail Monday night and charged with disorderly conduct, a first-degree misdemeanor, according to the Seminole Police Department.

The rapper, who will turn 25 later this month, was also charged with operating without a valid license, according to jail records.

“The incident began with an affray, or fight,” the department said in a statement Tuesday. “Merritt was booked into the Broward County Jail late last night. A second person detained at the scene has not been charged. The investigation to identify one or more additional persons involved in the incident is ongoing.”

Offset, whose legal name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is currently hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury, according to police.

A spokesperson for Offset told ABC News Monday the rapper is in “stable” condition.

“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson said.

The shooting occurred after 7 p.m. ET in the valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The incident began with a fight, according to police.

Dawn Florio, an attorney for Lil TJay, issued a statement Tuesday reiterating that he has not been charged with shooting Offset.

“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood,” Florio stated. “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary, is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources and to verify the accuracy of any reporting before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”

Offset was previously married to Cardi B and the artists share three children.

His fellow Migos rapper Takeoff was fatally shot in November 2022.

ABC News’ Monica Escobedo, Deena Zaru and Luke Barr contributed to this report.

Tom Morello has joined the lineup for the 2026 edition of the iconic Newport Folk Festival, taking place July 24-26 in Newport, Rhode Island.

The Newport Folk Festival was the site of Bob Dylan’s infamous “going electric” moment in 1965, which outraged some traditionalist attendees who felt folk music should only be played on acoustic guitars. We can only imagine what the crowd might have thought of a shredder like Morello playing Newport.

Maybe Morello will play a rendition of Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name” and change the lyrics to, “Folk you, I won’t do what you tell me.”

The 2026 Newport Folk Festival is already sold out. The lineup also includes Paramore’s Hayley Williams performing a set billed as “Hayley Williams & Friends.”

Morello is currently on tour with Bruce Springsteen playing select songs alongside the E Street Band.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is proving to have staying power the size of the state it mentions, as the track returns to #1 on Billboard‘s all-genre Hot 100.

This is the fifth nonconsecutive week the song has reigned at #1 on the chart, dating back to its first in mid-February. The April 1 release of the song’s star-studded music video, shot in Forth Worth, Texas, helped with the song’s rise from its previous position at #2.

Ella’s now in the company of notables like Adele, Beyoncé and Madonna, becoming one of the only women to spend five or more weeks at #1 on the Hot 100.

At the same time, “Choosin’ Texas” hangs on for a 19th week atop Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs ranking, while logging a sixth week at #1 on the Streaming Songs rundown.

The timing couldn’t be better since Ella’s sophomore studio album, Dandelion, comes out Friday.

(WASHINGTON) — President Donald Trump has set several deadlines for launching massive attacks on critical Iranian infrastructure if Tehran doesn’t make a peace deal includes reopening the vital Strait of Hormuz since U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran began in February.

Here is a timeline of Trump’s deadlines so far:

March 2

Two days after the U.S. and Israel began attacking Iran, Trump told reporters at the White House, “We projected four to five weeks, but we have capability to go far longer than that.”

March 21

Trump gave a 48-hour ultimatum in a social media post calling on Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, which is a trading route off the country’s southern coast that facilitates the transport of a huge amount of the world’s petroleum supply.

“the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” he wrote.

March 23

Trump posted another message on social media, in all caps, announcing a five-day extension “SUBJECT TO THE SUCCESS OF THE ONGOING MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS.”

March 26

Trump said in a social media post that he was “pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction by 10 Days to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 P.M. Eastern Time.”

“Talks are ongoing and, despite erroneous statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media, and others, they are going very well,” he wrote.

The president later said he was inclined to provide a 10-day extension because Iran had allowed some oil-carrying ships to safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian officials did not comment publicly on the president’s threat. The next day, an Iranian missile struck Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

April 4

The president went on social media around 10 a.m., claiming “time was running out.”

“48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them,” he wrote.

April 5

Trump made several statements to the press and on social media on Easter Sunday that the U.S. was setting a deadline of Tuesday, April 7 at 8 p.m. ET, which would be Wednesday, April 8, at 3:30 a.m. in Tehran.

He also posted profanity laden statement on the holiest day in the Christian calendar on social media, demanding that Iran open the strait or “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran.”

Trump told ABC News’ Rachel Scott that, if there was no deal in the next 48 hours, “We’re blowing up the whole country.”

April 6

The president held a news conference where he repeatedly made his threats against Iran’s leadership if they don’t come to an agreement with the U.S.

“The entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night,” he said.

April 7

The president made another threat on social media, indicating he could attack Iran in the night.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never be brought back again. I don’t want it to happen, but it probably will,” he wrote.

The third season of Netflix’s Once Piece now has its title.

The upcoming third installment in the live-action adaptation will be called One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta. Netflix has also announced that season 3 will debut in 2027.

The pirate adventure show is based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series of all time. It follows Monkey D. Luffy during his quest to find the fabled treasure and become King of the Pirates.

An official description for season 3 has also been announced. “War is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi’s homeland,” the description reads. “A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves.”

Season 3 will find the Straw Hats facing a civil war and a powerful warlord in order “to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand,” the official description continues.

Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Taz Skylar, Emily Rudd and Jacob Romero starred in season 2, One Piece: Into the Grand Line, which debuted on March 10.

Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes will serve as the co-showrunners for season 3.

“The Alabasta saga is one of the best-loved stories in all of One Piece — and one of our personal favorite arcs — so it’s a huge honor to bring it to life,” Tracz and Stokes said in a press release.

As previously reported, Oh, Mary! creator Cole Escola will play fan-favorite character Bon Clay in the upcoming third season, while Cobra Kai star Xolo Maridueña will play Portgas D. Ace.
