If you’re worried that Sam Mendes’ four Beatles films may get a bit repetitive, one of the actors in those films is here to ease your mind.
Adam Pally, who plays controversial music exec and one-time Beatles manager Allen Klein in the films, reveals in a new interview with The Direct that each film will be unique.
When asked to explain how different he thinks the films will be, Pally was careful with his answer, but did offer some insight.
“I will try to answer in the most allowed way possible, but I would say that they are totally different,” he said. “The way The Beatles were individually, totally different, and the movies reflect each Beatles’ tone, in a way.”
“So, they all go together beautifully, and then they also are all individually perfect in that way, you know?” he added.
The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event is set to open in April 2028. It stars Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.
The Sony films will mark the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles have granted a studio the rights to the life stories of band members and their legendary catalog of music.

Jemaine Clement and Nicola Walker are ruining the friendship in the new Hulu comedy series Alice and Steve. The two star as the titular best friends whose relationship is tested when Steve starts dating Alice’s adult daughter, Izzy.
It’s being described as a “wrong com” instead of a rom-com, but Walker tells ABC Audio that while her character, Alice, might call it that, she believes it’s more nuanced.
“I think it’s hugely problematic and going to, you know, [be] a grenade that blows up everybody’s lives. But I don’t think it’s wrong,” she says of the relationship between Steve and the 26-year-old Izzy.
“No one is right and nobody is wrong completely, but everyone behaves appallingly at times,” she adds. “And yet you understand them and sympathize with them, I think.”
Clement says there’s “a lot of gray area” in terms of the characters’ behavior, and while he doesn’t necessarily relate to Steve, he at least feels for him.
“He is extremely lonely when we begin, and he’s just lost a good friend, a mutual friend of his and Alice’s,” Clement says. “And so he’s thinking about his entire life at that moment.”
All six episodes of Alice and Steve are now streaming on Hulu.

The Wicked co-stars have amicably called it quits after nearly three years of dating, according to a source who spoke to Peoplethis week.
ABC News reached out to Grande’s and Slater’s representatives for comment.
Slater and Grande met while working on Wicked, which began filming in December 2022. Grande played Glinda in the film, while Slater played Boq.
The pair were first photographed together at Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar party in March 2023, alongside their Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo.
Grande and Slater, both of whom were married previously, were spotted together in public a few times, including in October 2023, when Grande attended Spamalot on Broadway to support Slater, who was appearing in the show.
They appeared to make their relationship Instagram official in November 2024, when they each shared the same behind-the-scenes photo of themselves at the Wicked premiere in Sydney, Australia.
When Grande was nominated for best supporting actress at the Critics Choice Awards in 2025 for her turn as Glinda, Slater spoke with ABC’s Good Morning Americaon the carpet about what it was like to see Grande take on the role.
“It’s really moving,” Slater said at the time. “When somebody’s wanted to play a role for so long, something that’s meant so much to her, it’s meant so much to everyone on the cast, and then everybody had to really go for it and earn these roles and deliver every day on set, I feel immensely proud of Ariana, of Cynthia, of [Jonathan Bailey], of every single person.”
Grande is currently on her Eternal Sunshine Tour, which kicked off on June 6, in Oakland, California.
She is expected to make stops across North America in Los Angeles, Austin, New York, Boston, Montreal, and more, before hitting the stage at The O2 in London on Aug. 15 for a multi-show run.
Her upcoming album, petal, will be released July 31.

(LONDON) — Serena Williams received a hero’s welcome on Tuesday as she made her first competitive appearance since the 2022 U.S. Open.
Dressed in a pink skirt with matching pink shoes, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion walked onto a packed center court at Queen’s Club in London to loud cheers from fans eager to see the tennis legend back in action.
Queen’s Club, a historic and relatively intimate venue in west London, was filled to capacity for the occasion. By the time Williams stepped onto the court, there was not an empty seat in the house.
Williams, 44, teamed up with Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko, 19, in the first round of the HSBC Championships women’s doubles tournament. The pair faced the No. 3-seeded team of American Nicole Melichar-Martinez and New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe.
Despite her lengthy absence from competition, Williams and Mboko battled through a tightly contested opening set before winning the tiebreak 7-2 to take the set 7-6.
Williams stepped away from competition after the 2022 U.S. Open but never formally announced her retirement.
Williams owns 23 Grand Slam singles titles and 14 Grand Slam doubles titles with her sister, Venus Williams. She has also won seven singles and seven doubles titles at Wimbledon.
Her return comes as the grass-court season ramps up ahead of Wimbledon later this month. Williams is also entered in doubles at the Berlin Open, where she is expected to continue her comeback to competition.

Jack White appears to have stealth-announced a new album.
The “Seven Nation Army” rocker’s label, Third Man Records, lists a new record titled Frozen Charlotte up for preorder on its website alongside a July 10 release date.
“13 tracks of distinct feel and tone, Frozen Charlotte is an intense rock and roll punch with never far behind blues underpinnings…all of which fits right at home with long time fans while leaving an inviting open door to newcomers alike,” the product description reads.
Listing a new album without any other announcement does fit in with White’s general MO — you may recall that his last solo effort, 2024’s No Name, was first released by surprise as an unlabeled record in Third Man Records stores before being made widely available.
White followed No Name with two new singles, “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico,” which dropped in April.

A teen has been found guilty of murder over the fatal stabbing of another teen at a high school track meet last year.
Karmelo Anthony, 19, was indicted on first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a track meet in Frisco, Texas, in April 2025.
Prosecutors called the stabbing “senseless” and “plain and simple murder,” while the defense argued that Anthony acted in self-defense.
The murder charge carries a sentence of up to life in prison. Ahead of closing arguments on Tuesday, the judge decided that jurors could also consider manslaughter, which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, according to ABC Dallas affiliate WFAA, which was in the courtroom for the trial.
The jury began deliberating midday Tuesday before reaching a verdict in three hours, according to a court spokesperson. Anthony could be seen crying when he returned to the court for his sentencing, which will be determined by the jurors, the station reported.
Anthony’s mother was the only person to take the stand during the punishment phase, asking the jurors to show him mercy as he is sorry for what he did, WFAA reported.
The deadly stabbing occurred at a Frisco Independent School District stadium on April 2, 2025, during a track and field competition involving multiple schools in the district.
Police said Metcalf, an 11th grader at Frisco Memorial High School, was stabbed during an altercation under his school’s tent in the stadium bleachers. Witnesses said the two got into an argument over Anthony, a then-17-year-old student at Frisco Centennial High School, being under Metcalf’s school tent during the rainy track meet.
Jurors heard testimony over four days. Anthony did not take the stand in his own defense.
Judge John Roach imposed a gag order in the case, restricting what those involved can say, and barred any electronics from the courtroom during the trial due to the attention the case has garnered.
Collin County First Assistant District Attorney Bill Wirskye told jurors that the stabbing was not self-defense but “unjustified” murder, according to WFAA.
In his closing argument on Tuesday, Wirskye claimed that Anthony provoked Metcalf, questioned why the defendant didn’t walk away and called the stabbing disproportionate.
“You don’t get to meet a shove with a stab — especially if you provoke a shove,” Wirskye told jurors, according to WFAA.
Defense attorney Mike Howard told jurors that Anthony had gone to the Memorial tent to get out of the rain when Metcalf confronted him and told him to leave, WFAA reported. Howard said Anthony “acted in fear and chaos” after Metcalf pushed him, and stabbed the other teen in self-defense, according to WFAA.
During his closing argument on Tuesday, Howard said Metcalf had “no legal right” to use force on Anthony, WFAA reported. In response to contentions that Anthony could have just left, the defense attorney said, “I am sure he wishes he did,” according to WFAA.
Multiple students who were at the track meet that day testified that they saw Metcalf push Anthony, who was seated on the bleacher, with some describing it as a two-handed push, like a “lineman move,” while others said it was a one-handed “small shove,” WFAA reported.
One witness testified that Anthony was asked to leave the tent about 15 times, according to WFAA. Some recalled Anthony saying, “Touch me and see what happens,” during the altercation, which witnesses said lasted about four to six minutes, according to WFAA. Another witness quoted Metcalf as telling Anthony, “I’m not going to fight you,” the station reported.
Surveillance footage from the track meet played in court did not show the stabbing, and some of the witnesses were asked to demonstrate the incident, according to WFAA.
After the stabbing, witnesses said Anthony jogged away from the tent, and a coach who spoke to him on the track testified that he said, “He put his hands on me. I stabbed him,” according to WFAA.
A pocket knife used in the stabbing was found on the bleachers, police said. Collin County Medical Examiner Dr. Elizabeth Ventura testified that Metcalf was stabbed on the left side of his chest, and the knife perforated his right ventricle, according to WFAA.
Several people spoke during the trial of the efforts to save Metcalf. A football coach who was helping at the track meet testified that he put pressure on the stab wound, and Memorial’s athletic trainer said she did CPR until paramedics arrived, according to WFAA.
“Everybody was praying,” Memorial High School head track coach Robert Starr said in emotional testimony, according to WFAA. “I just knew Austin was gone.”
Metcalf was transported to an area hospital, where he was ultimately pronounced dead, police said.
Frisco ISD reacted to the verdict, saying in a statement, “We respect the judicial process and will continue to support our students with compassion and care.”
“We know this trial has brought strong emotions and deep grief, and we ask that our community continue to support each other with respect, sensitivity and understanding,” the statement continued.

(CALIFORNIA) — A California card store became the latest target in a string of Pokémon trading card thefts after suspects burglarized a location and made off with the collectibles in minutes.
Masked suspects were caught on surveillance cameras leaping over display cases at The Card Lab in Brentwood on Saturday night and stealing $15,000 worth of Pokémon cards in under 40 seconds, police said.
The suspects drove off in a Nissan Altima and are still on the loose, according to police.
Ronnie Hackett, The Card Lab’s owner who opened the store two months ago, told ABC affiliate KGO that the manager was on another level of the store when the theft went down.
“My first thought was ‘I hope that my employee was OK,’ and I was relieved to see that she was,” he told the station.
The store was closed for a few days to get additional security measures in place.
The Brentwood theft took place days after a similar threat went down on the other side of the country.
Masked thieves burglarized Big Pack Hobby Shop in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, on Thursday, smashing through a glass door and stealing $40,000 to $50,000 worth of cards and merchandise, according to police.
The burglary happened in under two minutes and was caught on camera, authorities said.
“This was like a dream of mine opening the card store, we just celebrated our three-year anniversary yesterday actually, this is a passion of mine, as much as it sucks and it could happen again, I’m just going to keep going because this is what I love,” Pablo Rancier, the store’s owner, told WABC.
Jay-Z was in attendance at the New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs matchup at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. Before the game, he was seen interacting with his fans and signing autographs.
Speaking of Jay, he is one of the artists featured on an upcoming album from Rakim, Kurupt and Masta Killa. In a post shared by the project’s executive producer, M80, the track list reveals he’s on track #6 with Eminem, with whom he previously collaborated on the 2001 track “Renegade.” Daz Dillinger, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Snoop Dogg are also set to appear on the project.
Chlöe is teaming with Timbaland for a joint project. The pair shared an Instagram post featuring them posing for the camera in matching leather jackets decorated with the album title, Resurrection, and their initials. Resurrection is due out June 19.
Drake was recently spotted in Turks and Caicos filming a video with a special appearance from Stunna Sandy, who appears on the track “Outside Tweaking” from Drake’s album MAID OF HONOUR. Sandy also serves as the cover model for Drake’s HABIBTI. Meanwhile, Drake’s Iceman single “Janice STFU” is #3 on the Hot 100 and spends a third week leading the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.
The collaboration Ludacris previously confirmed with GloRilla has an official release date. Their song, “REAL HUSTLA,” is due out on Friday.

Forget about the house tour: Sienna Spiro is giving fans the My House Tour.
That’s the name of the British singer’s upcoming North American headlining tour, which will start Oct. 13 in Nashville and is set to wrap up Nov. 10 in Los Angeles. Presales start June 16 at 10 a.m. local time; tickets go on sale to the general public June 18 at 10 a.m. local time on Sienna’s website.
The tour comes in support of Sienna’s new album, Visitor, which is out July 3. The “Die on This Hill” singer says in a statement, “I truly can’t wait for this tour. This is the biggest I’ve ever done and we’re going to perform in places I’ve never been before! I’m so excited to see you all and sing the songs from Visitor with you.”
Sienna is using Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange in North America: Tickets purchased will be nontransferable and can only be sold on Ticketmaster’s site at face value. Even in states that prevent resale restrictions, like New York and Illinois, Ticketmaster will still keep the resale prices at face value.
Prior to her tour, Sienna will be playing a run of festival shows starting Aug. 1 with Lollapalooza in Chicago. She’ll also appear at the Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island; Outside Lands in San Francisco; All Things Go in both New York and Maryland; and Austin City Limits in Texas.
