Former Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman announced back in July that he was postponing his summer tour due to some health issues. Now, he’s giving fans an update on his condition.
Wakeman explains in a post on his website that he had been diagnosed with a neurological disorder called normal pressure hydrocephalus, which led to him having surgery last week to put a shunt in his brain.
“I am pleased to say [it] was very successful and I am now recuperating at home being cared for by my lovely wife and our wonderful furry healing animals!” he writes.
Wakeman says that while he has to “take things easy for a while,” his doctors have told him that he should be “perfectly fine” to head to North America for his March tour with son Oliver Wakeman, plus any other shows after that. He also plans to play two charity shows in U.K. on Dec. 19 and 20.
“I am also pleased to say that it doesn’t seem to have affected my piano playing in any way as I still seem to be very capable of hitting the odd wrong note here and there when I lose my concentration!” he adds. “Once again, I’d like to thank everybody who wished me well over the last few months for a speedy recovery as it really did mean a lot to me.”
Wakeman’s tour with his son Oliver is set to begin March 11 in Ridgefield, Connecticut, with dates confirmed through March 29 in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Queen frontman Freddie Mercury passed away at his home in Kensington, England. He was 45.
The cause of death was bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS. Mercury confirmed in a statement about 24 hours prior to his death that he had tested positive for HIV and had AIDS, although reports had suggested he was diagnosed as early as 1987.
Mercury was laid to rest three days later, with his Queen bandmates Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon in attendance for the funeral, as well as musician Elton John. Mercury’s cremated remains were given to his friend Mary Austin, who buried them at an undisclosed location.
The surviving members of Queen celebrated Mercury’s life five months later with The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness at Wembley Stadium in London, featuring appearances by such artists as John, Roger Daltrey, David Bowie, George Michael and Annie Lennox.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026 has added Julianne Hough and Chance the Rapper as cohosts. Hough will join NFL legend Rob Gronkowski to cohost the festivities in Las Vegas, while Chance will ring in the New Year in his hometown of Chicago.
Seacrest and Ora will hold things down in Times Square, New York City.

Before Sabrina Carpenter sings “Juno” on her Short n’ Sweet tour, she makes it a habit of “arresting” someone in the audience who she declares to be “too hot.” That person is very often a famous woman, but on Sunday, the final night of the tour, that person was a famous pig.
During the show at LA’s Cryto.com Arena, Sabrina said, “Some of you guys are so beautiful, it should be a crime. Like you, gorgeous: I’d know that face anywhere!” Cut to none other than Miss Piggy in the audience.
“What is your name?” Sabrina asked Piggy. “Ahem. Miss Piggy,” the Muppet declared as the audience screamed. “Are you enjoying the show?” Sabrina asked. “Uh, YES! I’m loving it!” Piggy yelled.
“You know, it’s been a tradition on this tour, we’ve arrested so many beautiful individuals,” Sabrina continued. “But I feel like tonight is your night.”
Another Muppet, Bobo the Bear, who was providing “security” for Piggy, chimed in, “Excuse me, Miss Carpenter, did you say she was being arrested?”
“Yeah, but it’s kinda fake,” Sabrina explained. She then offered a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs to Bobo, who said, “I don’t need those. I brought my own. Let’s go, Pig. Tell it to the judge, sister!”
The moment was likely a promotion for the fact that Sabrina will be guest-starring in The Muppet Show special in 2026, which will celebrate the series’ 50th anniversary.
Sabrina previously “arrested” Maya Rudolph, SZA, Dakota and Elle Fanning during her six shows in LA.

Post Malone‘s Nashville eatery, Posty’s Bar, is giving men and women in uniform something to be thankful for this weekend.
“To the ladies and gentlemen who keep Nashville safe each day, we’d love to thank you for your service!” the bar’s Instagram feed announced. “On-duty, uniformed first responders are invited to please join us Wednesday, November 26, through Friday, November 28, to enjoy a complimentary meal at Posty’s!”
One fan wrote in the comments, “Being a retired first responder, this means so much to those away from their families during the holidays. At least they can eat with their work families. THANK YOU.”

(POSEN, Ill.) — When she was captured on Sunday night, nearly 200 miles from the Wisconsin group home she allegedly fled, “Slender Man” stabbing assailant Morgan Geyser told officers who asked for her identity to “just Google” her, according to Illinois police.
The 22-year-old Geyser, who in 2014 stabbed a friend 19 times to appease the fictional character “Slender Man,” was located on Sunday after she allegedly cut off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and left the group home where she had been a resident, authorities said.
Geyser was taken into custody in Posen, Illinois, police confirmed to ABC News.
Geyser was taken into custody at a truck stop in Posen with a 42-year-old man she had traveled across state lines with, according to a Posen Police Department statement released on Monday. Police found the pair sleeping on a sidewalk, according to the statement.
“The female repeatedly refused to provide her real name and initially gave a false one,” the police said. “After continued attempts to identify her, she finally stated that she didn’t want to tell officers who she was because she had ‘done something really bad,’ and suggested that officers could ‘just Google’ her name.”
Once she provided her real name, officers learned she was wanted for escape in Wisconsin. Both Geyser and her male companion were detained without incident, police said.
Geyser’s traveling companion, whose name was not released, was charged with criminal trespassing and obstructing identification, according to police. He has since been released and authorities did not provide information on his involvement in Geyser’s escape from the group home.
Posen Police said the pair took a bus to Posen from Wisconsin. Posen is about 25 minutes south of Chicago.
Before being located, Geyser was last seen in Madison, Wisconsin, around 8 p.m. on Saturday with an adult acquaintance, Madison police said in a statement posted on social media, which included a recent surveillance image of Geyser.
“Geyser will be held until transfer to Cook County for an extradition hearing at 26th and California,” the department said, referring by address to the Criminal Court Administration Building in Chicago. It was not immediately clear when that hearing would take place.
Prior to her daughter’s arrest, Geyser’s mother, Angie Geyser, said in a statement to ABC News on Sunday, “If you see Morgan, please call the police. Morgan, if you can see this, we love you and just want to know you are safe.”
Geyser’s attorney, Tony Cotton, also released a statement on Sunday to ABC News asking Geyser to turn herself in, saying it was “in her best interest” to do so.
In March, Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Michael Bohren ordered that Geyser be released from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute and sent to a group home after three psychologists testified she was prepared for supervised release.
As part of her release, Geyser was ordered to wear a monitoring bracelet.
Geyser, according to police, cut off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and left the group home sometime Saturday night.
Geyser and another girl, Anissa Weier, were charged as adults and pleaded guilty to stabbing a classmate, Payton Leutner, 19 times in 2014, when they and the victim were 12 years old. Both Geyser’s and Weier’s guilty pleas were later vacated when they were found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. Both of them were subsequently sent to psychiatric institutions.
“Payton Leutner and her family are aware of the most recent situation regarding Morgan Geyser,” a spokesperson for the Leutner family said in a statement to ABC News. “Payton and her family are safe and are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure their continued safety.”
“The family would like to thank all of the law enforcement entities involved in the efforts to apprehend Morgan,” the statement continued. “The Leutner family also wish to thank the outpouring of support from family, friends, and well-wishers who have contacted them during this difficult time.”
In January, Judge Bohren ordered the state Department of Health Services to come up with a plan for Geyser’s supervised release.
Geyser was transferred in March from the Winnebago Mental Health facility to a group home despite concerns raised by prosecutors, who alleged she had “violent” communication with a man outside the facility and had read a book in the facility with “themes of sexual sadism and murder.”
In 2014, Geyser and Weier lured their friend, Payton Leutner, then 12, to the woods in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where Geyser stabbed Leutner while Weier watched.
Geyser and Weier left Leutner alone in the woods. Injured and bleeding, Leutner pulled herself to safety and was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Leutner survived the attack that captured headlines worldwide after Geyser and Weier claimed that the stabbing was intended to please “Slender Man,” a faceless, fictional internet-based character that garnered a cult-like following.
Geyser pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted intentional homicide and was sent to the Winnebago Mental Health Institute in 2018. Geyser was later found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, and was sentenced to up to 40 years in a psychiatric institution.
(NEW YORK) — Traveling to your Thanksgiving destination may be smoother than heading home, with a cross-country storm possibly bringing rain and snow to parts of the Northeast and Midwest.

Tuesday
A winter storm watch is in place for North Dakota and Minnesota, where 3 to 9 inches of snow may fall from Monday night through Wednesday morning. Wind gusts may reach 40 mph, causing blowing and drifting snow.
Meanwhile, on the East Coast, rain will hit the Interstate 95 corridor from Washington, D.C., to Boston, on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Wednesday
In the Northeast, a few passing showers are possible from Washington, D.C., to New York City on Wednesday morning.
In the Midwest, snow will start falling across much of Michigan on Wednesday.
Thursday
On Thanksgiving, the lake-effect snow machine will turn on and bring a blast of snow to the downwind side of the Great Lakes through Friday.
A winter storm watch is already in place for towns like Orchard Park, New York, just south of Buffalo, for Wednesday night through Friday.
More than 6 inches of snow is possible and wind gusts up to 45 mph could lead to whiteout conditions.
Friday
On Friday, a new storm system will begin moving cross-country from the Pacific Northwest.
The storm may bring snow on Friday to the Plains, from the Dakotas to northern Missouri.
Saturday
On Saturday, rain is possible from Missouri to Louisiana, while snow is possible from Illinois to Michigan, including Chicago and Detroit.
Sunday
By Sunday afternoon and evening, this system may bring rain to much of the East Coast.
Sunday is predicted to be the busiest air travel day for Thanksgiving.

Welcome to 2026, it’s got Guns N’ Roses tour dates.
The “Welcome to the Jungle” rockers have announced a worldwide trek for 2026, including a U.S. leg running from July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Sept. 18 in Atlanta. Additionally, they’ll play a one-off show in Hollywood, Florida, on May 5, and the Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida, on May 7.

The red carpet attendee who accosted Ariana Grande at the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore has been deported to Australia, according to Singapore state media.
Johnson Wen was deported to Australia on Sunday and has been barred from re-entering Singapore, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority announced.
After pleading guilty to public nuisance charges last week, the 26-year-old was sentenced to nine days in jail.
According to Singapore-based state-owned media outlet CNA, during the sentencing, District Judge Christopher Goh called Wen “attention-seeking” and said he “showed a pattern of behaviour, which suggests that you will do it again,” pointing to his history of recording himself disrupting high-profile events.
“And it does not appear that you had faced any sort of consequences for your past acts, and perhaps you thought that the same will occur here, that is to say, you would have suffered no consequences for the same acts here,” the judge said, according to CNA. “Mr. Wen, you are wrong. You should be mindful that there are always consequences for one’s actions.”
Wen had faced up to three months in jail and a fine of about $1,500.
Wen accosted Grande at the film’s premiere at Universal Studios Singapore in Resorts World Sentosa on Nov. 13.
According to footage of the incident, as Grande walked down the yellow carpet greeting fans, the attendee appeared to jump over a barrier and run up to her before wrapping an arm around the actress, who appeared shocked by the interaction. Grande’s co-star Cynthia Erivo physically placed herself between Wen and Grande, before security dragged him away.
The 3D film was co-directed by James Cameron and Billie herself, and filmed during the singer’s just-concluded HIT ME HARD AND SOFT world tour. It’ll be in theaters March 20, 2026 via Paramount Pictures.
On Instagram, Billie wrote, “this has been one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with @jamescameronofficial has truly been a dream come true. can’t wait for you all to see it :’).”
The movie was filmed, at least in part, during Billie’s show in Manchester, England, which is when Billie first teased the project by warning fans they’d be seeing more cameras than usual. Then, in an interview with WSJ. Magazine for its Innovator Issue, Billie said of the film, “I haven’t seen anything, really, like it, and I’m just kind of blown away at every step of the process.”
She added that one reason she was excited about the project was that she never gets to watch her own concerts — at least, not in high quality — and this will give her an opportunity to do so.
“If you do something amazing, like a f****** backflip, and nobody’s filmed it, I can’t ever really have proof that I did it,” she explained. “So it’ll be nice to have that.”
