NPR’s Tiny Desk has been paying tribute to Black music and BET’s legacy throughout Black Music Month, and now it’s Eve’s turn to rock the mic.
The rapper treated the intimate crowd to a medley of her hits, including “Satisfaction,” “What Ya Want,” “Gotta Man,” “Gangsta Lovin'” featuring Alicia Keys and “Tambourine,” as well as “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” featuring Gwen Stefani and “Who’s That Girl” from her debut album, Scorpion, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
Floetry kicked off this year’s Black Music Month celebration, followed by GENA, Ayra Starr, Joe and The Paradox. The lineup also includes Karriem Riggins and Liv.e, Fred Hammond, 8Ball & MJG, Shaboozey and a fitting addition to the BET tribute: Bow Wow.
Bow Wow hosted the BET music video countdown show 106 & Park, earning him the nickname Mr. 106 & Park.
Tesla’s upcoming covers album, Homage, features one original song, and now fans are getting to hear it.
The “Signs” rockers have just released the track “Never Alone,” which bassist Brian Wheat says he “wrote in the 11th hour of recording the album Homage.”
Wheat explains that the song “started out as a simple guitar riff,” which he came up with while waiting to film an episode of Rachael Ray’s TV show.
He says he “started strumming these chords to kill some time,” noting, “When I listened back to it, it sounded like a Tesla song.”
Lead singer Jeff Keith agreed, and then they came up with the title “Never Alone” and started working on it. “I think it turned out pretty good,” Wheat adds.
Homage, dropping July 17, has the band covering songs by such artists as Queen, Bob Seger, Supertramp, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, James Brown and Elvis Presley.
Tesla is set to join Mötley Crüe on their The Return of the Carnival of Sins Tour, which begins July 17 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. A complete list of dates can be found at Teslatheband.com.

A new documentary centered on WHAM!’s 1985 tour of China is coming to theaters worldwide.
WHAM! 10 Days In China follows the duo — George Michael and Andrew Ridgelely — as they become the first Western pop group to perform in China, with concerts in Beijing and Guangzhou. It features restored, newly digitized and never-before-seen archival footage, along with interviews from those who were there.
The film is described in a press release as “the untold story of WHAM! at a singular moment in history, East meets West, pop meets politics, and two young stars coming of age on the world stage.” The release says it “offers a fresh perspective on China at a moment of transformation, told through the band’s journey and the voices of fans experiencing pop culture in a new way.”
“This film finally reveals the unknown legacy of WHAM!’s groundbreaking venture, and lays bare, in all their human contradictions, the individual perspectives behind what was a bold and risky, high stakes gamble,” adds Ridgeley.
WHAM! 10 Days In China will be screened in theaters on July 28, with tickets going on sale June 24.

(LONDON) — A Russian Navy vessel fired warning shots at a U.K.-registered yacht in the English Channel on Tuesday, the Russian military confirmed, saying the civilian boat was making a “dangerous approach” toward the warship.
The incident was reported midday Tuesday about 20 nautical miles south of the Isle of Wight, outside U.K. territorial waters.
The Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich detected the U.K. yacht “proceeding under engine power on a dangerous course that would bring it into close proximity with the warship,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The Russian defense ministry said the frigate’s crew attempted to make radio contact with the yacht, launched signal flares and emitted sound signals, but the boat “continued its dangerous approach.”
When the two vessels were about 150 meters apart, the frigate’s commander fired warning shots “from small arms across the yacht’s course,” at which point the yacht immediately changed course away from the warship, the Russian defense ministry said.
“The crew of the Admiral Grigorovich acted in strict accordance with international navigation rules and took all necessary measures to prevent an incident,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
The British military is investigating the incident after the yacht alleged that the Russian warship fired warning shots nearby at a distance of approximately 500 yards (about 457 meters).
The Royal Navy patrol ship HMS MERSEY was monitoring the Russian vessel at the time, ABC News understands.
A seaboat from HMS MERSEY visited the yacht to gather more information and confirm those on board are safe. No injuries or damage have been reported and the yacht is continuing on its journey.
A spokesperson for the U.K.’s Ministry of Defense told ABC News they are “investigating reports of an incident in the Channel.”
The incident comes a day after the U.K.’s Royal Navy led an interdiction of a tanker, the Smyrtos, sanctioned for being part of Russia’s shadow fleet, in the English Channel.
The U.K.’s defense ministry is viewing Tuesday’s reported incident as isolated and not linked to the interception, ABC News understands.
Taylor Swift & Ella Langley (Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for iHeartRadio)
The era of Ella Langley continues at country radio, as “Be Her” tops both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay rankings for the first time.
While it’s new to the pinnacle on Mediabase, it’s currently taking its third victory lap atop the Billboard ranking.
Of course, it continues Ella’s unbroken streak of chart-toppers that started with “you look like you love me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do” with Riley Green, and continued with “weren’t for the wind” and her cross-genre smash “Choosin’ Texas.”
After 28 weeks at #1, however, Ella’s song about the Lone Star State falls from its long-held peak atop Hot Country Songs. Ironically, it’s fellow country/pop queen Taylor Swift reclaiming the spot as she returns arm-in-arm with Sheriff Woody Pride and “I Knew It, I Knew You,” from Toy Story 5.
Taylor’s also #1 on the all-genre Hot 100, with “Texas” still flexing its staying power at #2.

Joe Jonas plays in-game ‘Hay Day’ Country Music Festival (Courtesy Hay Day)
Joe Jonas’ latest solo song will take you down on the farm.
“The Cozy Anthem” was created especially for the mobile farming game Hay Day and is now playing across every farm in the game. It’s based on the game’s theme tune, which Joe has turned into a full-fledged song. The unveiling of the song marks the start of a two-week virtual music festival in the game, which Joe will headline.
Players will also be able to create their own versions of the song and download decorations inspired by the song, including an in-game jukebox.
“With everything I’ve got going on, it’s not always easy to find a moment to disconnect. Hay Day has become one of those little escapes where I can relax, have fun, and recharge,” Joe says in a statement. “There’s something strangely satisfying about checking on your farm before checking your emails.”
But Joe isn’t the only Jonas Brother doing something solo. Nick Jonas will perform on the upcoming special Disney Celebrates America: Nashville’s Star-Spangled Bash, which airs live July 4 on ABC and multiple streaming channels. Other performers on the special include Boyz II Men, Lauren Daigle, The All-American Rejects, NE-YO, and country stars Reba McEntire and Tim McGraw.
‘Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward’ (Courtesy Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum)
Kenny Chesney was officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2025, and in 2026 he’ll get his own exhibit.
Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward is set to open July 23 at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
“When you’re so busy living life – literally in fast forward – you rarely pause to think about all the miles traveled, the faces you’ve met along the way,” Kenny says. “Trying to decide what things to send to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum that represent a whole lot of dreams, living, songs, the work and things you don’t dare imagine was as hard as anything I’ve ever done.”
“But in the end,” he continues, “I feel like every piece of who I am is represented – and I hope that for someone who’s thinking about chasing their own crazy dreams, this may be the spark to get them on their way.”
The artifacts Kenny delivered may make it seem like a trip to Mecca for members of his devoted No Shoes Nation: There’s the varsity jacket and jersey he wore in the mid-’80s while playing football as one of the Gibbs High School Eagles, as well as the guitar he played in college at East Tennessee State University.
The mythic “Old Blue Chair” that’s inspired so much in Kenny’s career will also be on display.
Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward will run through June 2027.
