Over three years after their breakup, Harry Styles’ former girlfriend Olivia Wilde is addressing the fact that their relationship really made fans angry.
While appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, host Alex Cooper asked the director and actress why she thought her romance with Harry was so “triggering.” “It really did upset people,” Olivia said, referring to the fact that she’s 10 years older than Harry.
“It was crazy, I don’t know how much I understand it yet. That’s one of the factors that I never really felt I like fully … I don’t know,” she said. “I mean, I know that it has existed for a very long time in our society. I understand it had very little to do with me. It is something that we have … done … to women for a long time. Why is it? I don’t know. People were f****** pissed.”
Olivia also chalked it up to the “kind of parasocial relationship people have” with Harry, adding that it’s a “burden” that he “carries … with grace.”
She added, “It’s wild because, I mean, we had the loveliest relationship. Like so, so sweet and so beautiful and like, really, actually, very domestic and kind and lovely.” She noted that she and Harry “existed in this little bubble” where they weren’t affected by the negativity.
But, she acknowledged, “It’s almost like the happiness made them mad.” She recalled how people would criticize her for attending his shows and dancing.
Olivia and Harry started dating while he was starring in her movie Don’t Worry Darling. They split in late 2022. Harry is now allegedly engaged to Zoë Kravitz, but neither Harry nor Zoë has confirmed that.

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.) — Seventeen horses died after a fire broke out in a barn in Saratoga Springs, New York — a city famous for its rich equestrian heritage.
The Saratoga Springs Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Saratoga Casino Hotel harness racing facility early Tuesday, officials said.
When firefighters arrived, the barn was “heavily” engulfed in flames, the department said in a statement. They were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent buildings, but the majority of the horses died as a result of the fire.
After the fire broke out around 2:30 a.m., security personnel from both Saratoga Casino Hotel and the nearby Saratoga Racecourse — along with emergency responders — acted quickly to evacuate horses from neighboring barns and secure the surrounding area, according to the Saratoga Harness Horseperson’s Association. About 350 horses are typically housed in the backstretch, the association said.
Seventeen horses being housed within the barn died, located in the backstretch area of the harness racetrack, according to the association. There were a total of 18 horses in the barn, the association noted.
The horses belonged to two trainers who stabled their horses in the barn. Trainer Robyn Mangiardi lost 11 horses, while trainer Timothy Benson lost six horses, the association said.
“The loss suffered today is heartbreaking for our racing community,” Sam Gerrity, CEO of Saratoga Casino Hotel, said in a statement. “Our thoughts remain with Robyn, Tim, their teams, the horse owners, and everyone affected by this tragedy.”
Sarah Burger, counsel for Saratoga Harness Horseperson’s Association, described the horses’ deaths as a “tragic loss” and thanked first responders for jumping into action so quickly.
“This is a sobering day in our industry, a horseperson’s worst nightmare,” Henry Westbrook, Jr, president of the Saratoga Harness Horseperson’s Association, said in a statement. “We express our deep condolences to all impacted and thank all emergency responders and track workers for their quick response.”
No civilians or firefighters were injured as a result of the fire, the department said. The area near the fire remains closed as officials investigate.
Grief counseling services are being made available to trainers, caretakers, owners and other members of the backstretch community affected by incident, according to the association.
The association declined to provide further comment to ABC News.

Sandra Oh is in talks to team up with the filmmakers behind Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The actress is being eyed to star opposite Matt Damon in Universal Pictures’ upcoming, untitled event film from directors Daniels, ABC Audio has learned.
Universal Pictures had no comment when reached by ABC Audio.
Damon replaced Ryan Gosling in the project back in May. Gosling was announced to star in the film in March, although he dropped out of the project in April due to scheduling reasons.
This upcoming event film marks the first directing project for Daniels, the filmmaking duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, since sweeping the 95th Oscars in 2023 for their groundbreaking film Everything Everywhere All at Once. That movie walked away with seven Oscars, including best picture, best actress, best supporting actor, best director and best supporting actress.
While plot details of the upcoming film remain under wraps, production on the project is expected to start in Los Angeles in the summer.
Kwan, Scheinert and Jonathan Wang will produce the movie through their Playgrounds overall deal with Universal Pictures.
The currently untitled film will release in theaters on Nov. 29, 2027.

Poppy has premiered the video for “Dying to Forget,” a track off her new album, Empty Hands.
The clip cuts between the “new way out” artist making her way through a crowded corridor of headbanging fans and a shot of her sitting inside a giant cracked egg.

Empty Hands, the follow-up to 2024’s Negative Spaces, dropped in January. It also includes the single “Time Will Tell,” which currently sits in the top 25 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
Blake Shelton, Shaboozey and Post Malone are all set to perform on NBC’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks special.
The lineup also includes Noah Kahan, Bebe Rexha and Salt-N-Pepa, alongside a fireworks display from New York City.

Since Posty’s collab’d with Blake on “Pour Me a Drink” and Noah on “Dial Drunk,” it seems there could also be an opportunity for some special performances on July Fourth.
Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will air Independence Day starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will stream live on Peacock.

(WASHINGTON) — Wednesday’s confirmation hearing for Jay Clayton to be the next director of national intelligence has been postponed, according to Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Tom Cotton, after President Donald Trump pushed for it to be canceled.
“It’s regrettable that the president has directed Jay Clayton not to appear at his confirmation hearing today,” Cotton wrote on X. “Mr. Clayton is a patriot and a highly qualified nominee, as the president has said repeatedly. While today’s hearing is now unfortunately postponed, I look forward to proceeding with his confirmation in the near future.”
Trump, in an early morning social media post, said the confirmation process for Clayton would not continue until his pick to replace Clayton as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jamie McDonald, is confirmed.
“Regarding the approval of our Great Patriot, Jay Clayton, we are cancelling the Senate Hearing RE: DNI today, and will not be going forward until Jamie McDonald is approved to be U.S. Attorney,” Trump wrote. “In the meantime, Bill Pulte will remain as the Acting Director of National Intelligence.”
Cotton, a Republican, at first rebuked Trump’s push for a delay, saying the Senate panel would proceed unless Trump specifically directed Clayton not to show or withdrew his nomination altogether.
Trump announced last week he was nominating Clayton to permanently lead ODNI amid backlash from Democrats and Republicans to his appointment of Bill Pulte to be acting director.
Pulte is best known in the Trump administration for launching probes into several of the president’s perceived political enemies over allegations of mortgage fraud and possible misuse of authority. Targets of the investigations include Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook, New York Attorney General Letitia James, Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff and former Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell. They’ve all denied wrongdoing.
Pulte’s appointment stalled efforts to renew Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act — which allows the federal government to collect communications of foreigners abroad without a warrant. The program’s legal authorization lapsed over the weekend.
Trump on Wednesday said that he wanted both his SAVE America Act bill and an extension to FISA to now pass together.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the chamber’s top Democrat, slammed Trump’s latest moves.
“Trump is twisting himself up in knots and jumping through hoops to make it impossible to reauthorize FISA right now, and he is embarrassing his Republican colleagues in the process,” Schumer said. “Trump can blame Democrats all he wants, but no one is going to believe him.”
Senate Majority Leader John Thune, when asked Wednesday about the Senate’s path forward on FISA and Clayton’s nomination, said they’re taking a day-by-day approach.
“All I know is that Chairman Cotton is planning to proceed — because you all know with the hearing — and then from there on, we’ll have to take it a day at a time until we get more clarity on kind of what the White House position is on this,” Thune said.

Alicia posted a video of her FaceTime chat with OG Anunoby, who asked whether she would be attending the festivities. “The city’s been asking for you. Are you pulling up?” he asks, to which her son Egypt responds, “I’ll make sure she gets there.”
“I just feel like if there’s a time for you to smile, it’s right now,” Alicia said.
“How could I not? This is my city, and the city’s on fire, like there’s so much love in the city. It’s crazy, like imagine y’all brought all that energy, like everybody just united, feeling amazing, so I’m excited,” she continued. “We’re proud of you, we’re excited. … We’ll see you there.”
Alicia wrote in the caption, “New York, we’ve been waiting for this one!!! My brother @oanunoby said the city is calling….. Meet me tomorrow at City Hall to celebrate our World Champion @nyknicks!!!!!! Don’t worry @egyptdean_ wouldn’t let me miss this.”
Alicia’s performance, celebrating the Knicks’ first championship win in 53 years, is scheduled to take place at approximately 1 p.m. ET.

This year isn’t just the 250th birthday of America, it’s also the 50th anniversary of NBC’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks special.
Performers at this year’s event include Noah Kahan, Post Malone, Salt-N-Pepa, Bebe Rexha, Shaboozey and Blake Shelton.
This year’s fireworks display will feature more than 85,000 shells exploding over the lower parts of New York’s East River and Hudson River, paired with a laser show from the Brooklyn Bridge. It’ll be set to a score that features a live performance from Alexia Jayy, who just won season 29 of The Voice.
The iconic show will air on Independence Day starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will stream live on Peacock.

Steve Miller has announced his first concerts of 2026.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is set to return to the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City on Oct. 9 and 10.
Miller first played the Rose Theater back in 2016 and has been performing at the venue for nearly a decade. According to a post on Instagram, the shows will have Miller honoring his “blues and jazz heroes.”
The October dates are the only shows Miller has on his schedule for 2026. In July 2025 he abruptly canceled the planned Steve Miller Band tour, blaming the extreme weather conditions hitting the U.S.
“The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable,” read his post on Instagram. “So… You can blame it on the weather…The tour is cancelled.”

Mike Myers says there will be a fourth film in the Austin Powers franchise.
The actor seemingly announced the news after he was asked if another film in the franchise was in the works during Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party on Tuesday. Noah posted a clip of the moment to his Instagram.
When Noah asked Myers if fans were ever going to see a fourth film, he simply answered, “Yes.” There was no further elaboration from the actor.
“Wow, that was a quick yes,” Noah said in response.
“Did Mike Myers just casually reveal Austin Powers 4?!” Noah captioned his post.
The first film in the Austin Powers franchise, International Man of Mystery, was released in 1997. It was followed by its sequel, The Spy Who Shagged Me, in 1999. The third movie, Goldmember, debuted to theaters in 2002.
This would make a potential fourth Austin Powers movie the first in over 20 years. Jay Roach directed all three of the previous films.
