Britney Spears reveals “favorite song” she’s “ever done”

Britney Spears took to Instagram on Wednesday to air out old grievances against the people behind her conservatorship and to reveal which of her songs is her all-time favorite.

In a now-deleted video of herself dancing to her song “Get Naked (I Got a Plan)” from her Blackout album, Britney wrote, “This is a repost from Maui last year !!! I know it’s not that great BUT the song is my favorite song I’ve ever done !!!”

She went on to note, “It was really weird because my dancers took the stage for this song !!! Oh well !!! I listened to this song today and actually realized it for the first time!!!”

Britney was referring to her Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me — a recording of the song was played during an interlude at the start of Act Five. During that time, Britney was presumably off stage changing while her dancers performed.

Explaining why she didn’t perform “Get Naked (I Got a Plan),” Britney wrote, “I guess it was all those rules you know !!! Guess all those rules and not having a voice for 13 years in what I wanted gave a lot of people a thrill ride !!! Oh well !!! Psss no wonder I quit the business JUST SAYING !!!”

She added, “But I’m going to London next week to go shopping  so things aren’t too shabby !!!”

Maybe Britney’s team didn’t want her to sing the song because it features lines like, “Maybe I’m a freak and I don’t really give a damn/ I’m crazy as a motherf*****, bet that on your man.”

Yungblud premieres new single, “Lowlife”

Locomotion/Geffen Records

Yungblud has premiered a new single called “Lowlife.”

“I wrote ‘Lowlife’ because I just didn’t want to leave my house,” Yungblud explains. “I was sick of people, of games, of myself, my friends, anytime I did anything some idiot had an opinion about it. What I should do or be.”

The type of boredom where you sit in your house, in the same sheets and watch f****** mind-numbing TV, so I wrote a song about it.”

You can listen to “Lowlife” now via digital outlets. The song’s accompanied by a lyric video, which is streaming now on YouTube.

“Lowlife” follows Yungblud’s 2022 self-titled album, which features the singles “The Funeral” and “Tissues.”

Deko Entertainment

The Guess Who has dropped a new video for their latest single, “Headline,” the third track released from their upcoming album, Plein D’Amour.

They are negative in nature and most of the time…. verbatim en masse,” songwriter and lead singer Derek Sharp says of the track. “Something genuine, uplifting and inspiring is the path forward. This dusty old review could use a new headline.”

“Headline” follows The Guess Who’s previous two Plein D’Amour singles “The King” and the album’s title track, which had great responses on streaming services. The album is available for preorder now.

The Guess Who is currently on a tour of North America. Their next show is happening June 28 in Layton, Utah. A complete list of dates can be found at theguesswho.com.

Report: Nicki Minaj sued by jeweler over unreturned and damaged jewelry

Scott Kowalchyk/CBS

Rapper Nicki Minaj is being sued by a West Hollywood jeweler who alleges that she failed to pay for borrowed jewelry and returned some pieces damaged, TMZ reports.

According to the outlet, who obtained the legal documents, the lawsuit states that Nicki’s stylist, Brett Alan Nelson, had signed a contract with the jeweler, agreeing to return the jewelry within a week and cover any damages. However, the jeweler claims that 66 pieces were not returned on time, and when they were eventually returned, some were damaged. The jeweler sent invoices for the damages, totaling $26,239.50, but allegedly received no payment.

Nicki’s attorney, Jordan Siev, disputes the allegations, telling TMZ, “We have not been presented with any evidence that any of the jewelry at issue was damaged by Nicki. This lawsuit appears to be nothing more than an ordinary insurance claim by the jeweler designed to generate publicity for itself and extract a payment to which it is not entitled. We will defend the lawsuit vigorously.”

“We are doing the impossible”: As tour launches, Pink’s ready for the “fantasy feat of a lifetime”

Ebru Yildiz

Pink‘s Summer Carnival stadium tour launches Wednesday night in Bolton, England, and she took to Instagram to share some photos and video of her preparations, as well as a note acknowledging what a huge task it is to mount a tour of this size, which she calls “a fantasy feat of a lifetime.”

“63 stadiums, 3 headlining festivals and 22 more arenas for good measure across the globe,” Pink writes.

She continues, “As you know, ‘bigger better faster more’ is my motto, and as of today, I am all of that, plus stronger, wiser, more resilient and more ready. And I’ve never been more grateful.”

She then thanks her crew, adding, “We are doing the impossible. No one does this.”

Pink goes on to write, “I’ve never asked more of this body of mine- and I have to admit- there are a couple of parts of this show I’m not sure I should be doing (you’ll know what I’m talking about very soon). There are only a handful of women that have ever done this- and yes world- I AM ONE OF THEM. Thanks to y’all.”

Describing her concerts, Pink says, “We get to feel all the feelings we’ve been stuffing down. We get to close our eyes and leave it all behind. We get to scream and cry and laugh and embrace the memories we have all made together and then make some more. It is my honor to be with you and to human alongside you.”

In her post, she also reveals that Queen guitarist Brian May and his family have sent her a bottle of Champagne and a note reading, “Kill ’em, Alecia!  Britain loves you and so do we.” Pink sang with Queen at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert last year.
