There have been a lot of changes since The Band Perry last put out a new song.

In fact, Kimberly Perry seems to be all that remains the same, with her brothers, Reid Perry and Neil Perry, being replaced by her husband, Johnny Costello.

Add to that a new single titled “Psychological” and you might wonder what’s going on.

But Kimberly says you shouldn’t be thrown: it’s still The Band Perry you know and love.

“I want everyone to feel all the nostalgic feelings. Everything that you loved about Band Perry from day one is in this project,” she tells ABC Audio. “And then also, we’re in 2026. So what are we thinking about? What life have we lived since you guys all saw us last? We’re representing that on this project, too.”

“But everybody keeps telling me that hears it, it’s like, ‘Oh, this is all The Band Perry feels,'” she says. “So we’ve been very delicate and definitive about wanting so many of those early sounds in this project.”

“And of course, Dann [Huff] producing it, he’s the guy that did that the best from the beginning with us. So, it’s all in there and I just can’t wait for you guys to hear it,” she teases.

Dann Huff produced 2013’s Pioneer album, which included the hits “Better Dig Two,” “Done,” “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely” and “Chainsaw.”

J. Cole once felt “Lonely at the Top,” but he was far from that during a temporary stop in Phoenix. His old Honda Civic broke down amid his Trunk Sale tour, and he was met with a crowd of fans while getting his vehicle fixed in the city.

“Tried to make it to LA before we go back home, the Civic said it had enough and broke on us! Phoenix, we here now while the car is getting fixed,” Cole wrote Monday on X. “Gonna mob around the city in the sprinter selling CD’s in the meantime.”

Video later surfaced of a group of people outside the auto shop cheering and documenting as Cole waved hello and walked into the crowd.

Cole kicked off his Trunk Sale tour about two weeks ago and as with other aspects of the rollout for his The Fall-Off album, he explained the concept behind the move.

“As a teenager I had copies of the Fayettenam Bommuh’s album that Nervous gave me to sell. I used to go up to the gas stations trying to sell the album to strangers ‘yo you like hip hop??’ Was the beginning of the sales pitch,” he wrote. “When I was working on this album I had the desire to go feel that feeling again, and that’s what I’m about to do. Trunk Sale Tour 26!! I don’t know where we bout to drive to, but catch me outside! Cop a CD from me or just show love. I truly appreciate all the love and the reaction to the music.”

Footage from recent stops of the Trunk Sale tour can be found on Cole’s YouTube.

The official Fall-Off tour is set to kick off in July.

Gibson Custom is honoring legendary David Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson with the release of a new guitar inspired by one of his iconic instruments.

The Mick Ronson 1968 Les Paul Custom Collector’s Edition, limited to just 100 guitars, is a replica of the rocker’s stripped finish 1968 Les Paul Custom. Gibson used aging techniques to give the replica the same wear, feel and sound as the original instrument. It even has mismatched volume and tone knobs like the original.

Available worldwide at Gibson.com, the guitar has a mahogany body, with an ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays. It comes with a custom case, and features a reproduction of Ronson’s signature.

Ronson, who passed away in 1993, was best known for his work with David Bowie as the guitarist of the Spiders from Mars. In addition to being a guitarist, he was a producer, arranger, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and worked with such artists as Lou Reed, Roger McQuinn, John Mellencamp and Bob Dylan. He also released five solo albums.

Toadies have premiered a new song called “The Charmer,” the title track off the “Possum Kingdom” band’s upcoming album.

“The Charmer” personifies frontman Vaden Lewis’ long struggle with low self-esteem.

“I was afraid that if I lose that part of me that has such self-loathing that I won’t be able to write
music anymore,” Lewis says in a statement. “I decided to take that apart and make it a character, The Charmer.”

The album The Charmer is due out May 1. It was recorded with late engineer Steve Albini, who died in 2024.

In other ’90s band news, Blues Traveler has announced a run of tour dates, beginning May 1 in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The newly scheduled shows also include a July 4 performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time. For the full list of dates and all ticket info, visit BluesTraveler.com.
