A new box set chronicling the early days of Dionne Warwick’s musical career will be released in August.

Make It Easy on Yourself: The Scepter Recordings, 1962-1971 is a 12-CD collection that will drop Aug. 1. It features 280 tracks, including 60 rare bonus tracks, 16 of which have never been released before.

“I am so very thrilled about this wonderful collection of my recordings!” Dionne says. “It is truly something that I myself would buy.”

The set covers the first decade of the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s career, including her collaborations with songwriter-producers Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Some of the bonus material in the set includes never-before-heard alternative takes of songs like “Don’t Say I Didn’t Tell You So,” “Who Gets the Guy,” “Walk the Way You Talk” and “We’ve Only Just Begun,” as well as a duet featuring Warwick and Leslie Uggams on “Try to See it My Way.”

The set also includes a bonus disc, Always Something There: Live & Studio Gems from The Scepter Vaults, which includes a previously unreleased concert recorded in Washington, D.C., in 1969.

Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz have gotten back together to recreate their Grammy-winning duet “Lucky” for Colbie’s latest project.

The album, This Time Around, is due Aug. 29 and is available for preorder now. It features Colbie duetting with various artists on new versions of her biggest hits, plus new songs and one cover. “I’ve wanted to revisit some of my older singles for years, but never really carved out the time,” she says in a statement.

“My voice has matured a lot since I recorded them in my early 20s, and so has my production style and musical taste,” Colby adds. “Making them duets felt like a fun way to reimagine the songs and bring in fresh energy through collaborations with some of my favorite artists.”

The artists in question are mostly country stars, including Walker Hayes, Russell Dickerson, Maren Morris and Chris Young. Among the hits Colbie has reimagined are “Bubbly,” “Brighter Than The Sun,” “Fallin’ For You” and “Realize.”

“Lucky” originally appeared on Jason’s 2008 album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.

Colbie also covers Post Malone‘s “Circles” with another old pal of hers, Gavin DeGraw. Explaining why she chose that song, she tells Billboard, “The lyrics really hit home — I was in a relationship at the time that felt like that song was written for us. I started playing it live at shows and loved how it sounded acoustically.”

According to Billboard, Colbie and Gavin will do a Christmas tour later this year.

More than 45 years after its release, a classic ABBA tune has passed 1 billion streams on Spotify.

“Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight),” released in 1979, has hit the milestone. It marks the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers’ second entry into the Billions Club after “Dancing Queen” got there in 2023.  Madonna famously sampled “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” for her 2005 top 10 hit “Hung Up.”

An Instagram video celebrating the milestone shows the group recording the song in the studio, intercut with footage of someone walking into the ABBA Museum in Stockholm, Sweden, and hanging the Billion Streams  award plaque on the wall.

According to a press release, 50% of new listeners to ABBA in 2025 were Gen Z, and Gen Z listeners also make up half of the group’s global audience. Over the past five years, streams of ABBA’s music have increased 150% on Spotify globally. That may be because since 2020, ABBA has launched a successful hologram show in London and put out a new album, both called Voyage.

Of course Liam Gallagher commented on the Coldplay kiss cam situation.

The Oasis frontman assured “lovebirds” who came to see the “Wonderwall” outfit on their ongoing reunion tour that they would not be caught on camera like one couple was during a Coldplay show, who were seen hiding from view and covering their faces when they noticed they were being filmed on the big screen.

“Don’t worry, we ain’t got any of that Coldplay snidey f****** camera s***,” Liam told the crowd of a recent Oasis gig.

“None of our f****** business,” he continued. “But this one’s for the lovebirds anyway.”

Coldplay, meanwhile, hasn’t commented directly on the viral story, but they did nod at it when they introduced the camera segment during their show in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday.

“We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd,” frontman Chris Martin said. “How we’re gonna do that is we’re going to use our cameras and put some of you on a big screen. So please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.”

Blondie’s Chris Stein has given fans an update about the band’s upcoming new album.

Stein first announced that the band had a new record in the works back in November, sharing a black-and-white photo of Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry in the studio along with the caption, “New Blondie album next year.”

In December he followed that up with another photo of Harry in the studio, this time with producer John Congleton, suggesting he’s producing the album.

Stein has now let fans know when they should expect the release: He posted another photo of Harry and Congleton in the studio with the caption, “Next Blondie album should be around last quarter this year,” suggesting it’s coming out in October, November or December.

The album will be the first Blondie record since the April death of drummer Clem Burke. When a fan asked if Burke would be on the album, Stein replied, “Clem played the whole thing.”

As for whether there are plans to hit the road to promote the record, Stein said he didn’t know.

The new album will be the first from Blondie since 2017’s Pollinator, which Congleton also produced. It featured songs written by the members of Blondie and outside collaborators like The SmithsJohnny Marr, Sia and Charli XCX.
