Tyler Hubbard claims his fourth solo #1 in a row as “Park” reaches the top of both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts.

“It’s such an incredible feeling to have my fourth number one in a row — I’m truly blown away,” Tyler says. “I never take these moments for granted, and I’m so thankful to country radio, my team, and the fans for the continued support.”

“After my buddies Canaan [Smith], Ashley [Gorley], Jesse [Frasure] and I wrote this song, we knew it felt special, and seeing fans sing it back every night on tour has been one of the biggest highlights of my year. I’m beyond grateful to everyone who made this possible — this one feels extra special. It takes a village, and I have the best.”

“Park” follows “5 Foot 9,” “Dancin’ in the Country” and “Back Then Right Now,” which have all topped the chart for Tyler as a solo artist. In all, he has 23 career number ones, including his hits with Florida Georgia Line.

Alex Warren‘s “Ordinary” position on top of the Billboard Hot 100 remains unchanged, as he tops the tally for a ninth week — and continues to collect celebrity fans.

At Lollapalooza on July 31, country superstar Luke Combs covered “Ordinary” and brought Alex onstage to sing it with him. Luke wrote on Instagram afterward, “My guy. Ordinary. What a song.” Alex responded in the comments, “I wish one day I have an ounce of talent that you have Luke, blessed to be able to share a stage with you.”

Alex also stuck around to sing two of Luke’s own hits with him: “Lovin’ on You” and “She Got the Best of Me.”

During his own set at Lollapalooza, Alex brought Gigi Perez onstage to sing his song “Eternity” with him. Referring to both moments, Alex wrote on Instagram, “Gosh every time I post on here it seems like another insane moment that I’m so thankful for.”

Meanwhile, not one but two songs from the Netflix animated film Kpop Demon Hunters are in the top 10. “Golden” by HUNTR/X is #2, while “Your Idol” by Saja Boys has jumped to #9. The soundtrack album is #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. It’s the first movie to spin off two top-10 hits since Encanto in 2022.

AFI is up to something.

The “Miss Murder” rockers have shared a mysterious post to their Instagram featuring a video of a grandfather clock. They’ve also cleared their website save for an image of a sun dial and droning background noise alongside a link to the band’s email list.

Cryptic social media posts and website upheavals often suggest the imminent release of new music, which AFI fans are certainly hoping for in the comments. The band hasn’t put out an album since 2021’s Bodies.

One thing that is for certain is AFI is set to launch a U.S. headlining tour in September.

Kelly Osbourne is sharing her gratitude for those who’ve supported her and her family following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.

“I’ve sat down to write this a hundred times and still don’t know if the words will ever feel like enough,” Kelly writes in an Instagram Story posted Monday. “But from the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

“The love, support and beautiful messages I’ve received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life,” she continues. “Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain.”

The post marks Kelly’s first extended statement since the Osbourne family announced Ozzy’s death on July 22. Previously, she’d only posted the opening lyric of the Black Sabbath song “Changes”: “I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had.”

“Grief is a strange thing—it sneaks up on you in waves—I will not be OK for a while,” Kelly writes. “But knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much.”

Ozzy died just over two weeks after he played his final concert with his original Black Sabbath bandmates on July 5. That same weekend, Kelly got engaged to Slipknot‘s Sid Wilson.

Dua Lipa was born in London to Kosovo Albanian parents. Now, she’s been granted citizenship to her parents’ homeland.

Dua was in Pristina, Kosovo’s capital, for her annual Sunny Hill music festival, which ran from Aug. 1 to 3. While there, Dua met with Kosovan President Vjosa Osmani, who presented her with a citizenship certificate. Osmani called the singer “one of the most important cultural and artistic personalities in the history of our country.”

She also wrote, “Dua and Kosovo have always been inseparable. She has been and continues to be one of the most powerful voices on the world’s biggest stages, making history with her achievements and becoming an inspiration to millions of people around the globe.”

“Our gratitude is endless for all that Dua has done and continues to do for Kosovo, for our youth, for our art and for the international image of our country.”

Dua was granted Albanian citizenship in 2022.

Dua posted a photo of herself with the certificate in between photos of herself attending and performing at the festival, where headliners also included Shawn Mendes and Fatboy Slim.

Roger Daltrey sets the record straight about Zak Starkey, calls his comments a ‘character assassination’

Roger Daltrey is setting the record straight about the events that led to The Who’s firing of drummer Zak Starkey.

Problems arose with Starkey during The Who’s Teenage Cancer Trust shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall in March, with Daltrey appearing to call out Starkey’s playing during “The Song is Over.” In an interview with The Telegraph, Starkey suggested that Daltrey was actually the one who “got it wrong,” and Daltrey was not happy about that.

In a new interview with the U.K. publication The Times, Roger called Starkey’s comments “kind of a character assassination,” adding that it was “incredibly upsetting.”

Daltrey says he wasn’t “having a go” at Starkey onstage at Royal Albert Hall, but was simply telling the guy controlling his monitors that he was hearing too much sub-bass. He added that the audience had “a complete misunderstanding” of what was happening.

Starkey was fired by The Who in April, but then rehired by the band, only to be let go again in May.

As for why they decided to go with another drummer, Daltrey says, “We wanted to branch out and that’s all I want to say about it. But [Starkey’s reaction] was crippling to me.”

Daltrey and Pete Townshend are getting ready to kick off what they say is their final U.S. tour. While Daltrey says his voice is “still as good as ever,” he does have some concerns, noting, “I can’t tell you if it will still be there in October.”

He adds, “There’s a big part of me that’s going, I just hope I make it through.”

The Who’s The Song Is Over North American Tour begins Aug. 16 in Sunrise, Florida. A complete list of dates can be found at TheWho.com.

Earth, Wind & Fire joins Sabrina Carpenter for surprise Lollapalooza appearance

Earth, Wind & Fire made a surprise appearance at Lollapalooza, joining Sabrina Carpenter for her headlining set Sunday night.

“We can just let loose, right? We can just groove,” said Sabrina, who was wearing a sparkly pink jumpsuit with her name across the chest. She then added, “So I thought, why not bring out my friends from Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire!”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers then joined Sabrina onstage to perform their 1981 smash “Let’s Groove.” And of course, the appearance wouldn’t have been complete without a follow-up performance of the band’s iconic 1979 hit “September.”

Earth, Wind & Fire is the second Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group that Sabrina has welcomed onto the stage this summer: In June, when she performed at London’s Hyde Park, she brought out ’80s new wave icons Duran Duran to sing their hit “Hungry Like the Wolf.”

Earth, Wind & Fire are currently on a summer tour that hits Interlochen, Michigan, on Tuesday. A complete list of dates can be found at earthwindfire.com.
