Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, have talked an awful lot about Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, on their New Heights podcast. However, Taylor has never appeared on the podcast … but that might be changing.

New Heights teased on social media “a special episode with a VERY special guest” Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. They illustrated the post with a picture of Jason wearing an Eras Tour tee and a vaguely Taylor-shaped silhouette.

Soon after that post went up, the official fan site Taylor Nation posted, “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era.'” The post featured a number of onstage photos showing Taylor wearing orange — the same background color that was used on the New Heights post.

Plus, Taylor used a similar color as background for the message “See you next era” when the Eras Tour wrapped up in December 2024.

All this has, of course, convinced Swifties that Taylor may use an appearance on New Heights to announce her next album. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The dog days may be over, but the screaming days have just begun.

Florence + the Machine frontwoman Florence Welch has shared a mysterious video featuring her kneeling on the ground and furiously digging into the grass. The clip then switches to the point of view of the hole Welch had just created, which she then proceeds to scream into at great volume.

You can check out the teaser via Welch’s Instagram. Maybe make sure your headphones are at a lower volume first.

Fans in the comments are hoping that the video is teasing the next era of Florence + the Machine. The band’s most recent album is 2022’s Dance Fever.

Since then, Welch teamed up with Taylor Swift for the song “Florida!!!” and guested on a track from The Weeknd.

The members of U2 have shared a post on Instagram offering their thoughts on the current Israeli-Palestine conflict.

“Everyone has long been horrified by what is unfolding in Gaza – but the blocking of humanitarian aid and now plans for a military takeover of Gaza City has taken the conflict into uncharted territory,” reads the post’s caption. “We are not experts in the politics of the region, but we want our audience to know where we each stand.”

The post includes separate detailed statements from Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen, Jr. and Adam Clayton, with Bono’s lasting 10 slides. The first slide of the post simply notes it shares their thoughts “On Gaza.”

U2 previously commented on the situation in the Middle East during their Las Vegas residency at the Sphere. Following the Oct. 7 attacks at the Novo music festival in Israel the band performed “Pride,” with Bono changing the lyrics to “Early morning, October 7/ as the sun is rising in the dessert sky/ Stars of David they took your life/but they could not take your pride.”

Keith Urban returns to his homeland this week, kicking off a 10-show stint Down Under Aug. 13 in Newcastle.

And just like any hometown boy, he’s hungry for the things he can only find in his native Australia.

But what’s his favorite?

“Awwwww, God, everything!” he reacts. “Everything in Australia is so good — the seafood, the steaks. Man, I mean, I take Vegemite on the bus like all the time, so that’s not really the go-to.”

Then, the “Straight Line” hitmaker remembers his favorite candy.

Allen’s Lollies! Any kind of Allen’s Lollies is the way to go,” he decides.

Though he was actually born in New Zealand, Keith moved to Australia when he was only two.

“Forgive” is the second track Styx has released from Circling From Above, their first album of new material since 2021’s Crash the Crown. They previously released the tune “Build and Destroy.”

Want to know what song Badflower meant to sample on ‘Snuff’? Go see them live

In the middle of Badflower‘s song “Snuff,” a track off their new album, No Place Like Home, the music suddenly stops and a voice-over informs you that the band wanted to sample a “popular song from the 1990s” at that moment, but were unable to get it cleared.

“Rather than risk litigation, they decided to remove the sample and insert this, instead,” the voice-over continues before the rest of the song kicks back into gear.

Speaking with ABC Audio, frontman Josh Katz shares that he came up with the idea for the voice-over as a way to express his frustration over his inability to use the sample.

“When we got our final, like, ‘No, it’s not gonna happen,’ I was just so mad, and I wouldn’t accept doing something different [or] having that spot be blank,” Katz explains. “I couldn’t sleep at night if I did that. So I had to put my final little, like, f*** you in there.”

The rest of Badflower, however, wasn’t thrilled with Katz’s workaround solution.

“I sent it in, and my band hated it,” Katz says. “And they still do. But I just told them, like, ‘I’m sorry, I have final say on this one. I can’t accept anything less than this.'”

“Like, everybody has to know that I’m mad,” he smiles. “This is how I show my anger.”

If you want to know what song Badflower had intended to sample, they do use it when they perform “Snuff” live.

“We do it the way that it’s meant to be done, that it was always meant to be done,” Katz says.

You can catch Badflower live currently on tour with 311.

No Place Like Home is out now. It also includes the singles “Paws” and “Detroit.”

Craig David has two reasons to celebrate: the release of his new album, Commitment, and the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Born to Do It. Commitment arrives nearly one week before the milestone anniversary, something Craig said wasn’t intentionally planned.

“It was very divine,” Craig tells Rolling Stone UK. “I knew it was the 25th anniversary of Born to Do It, but I didn’t know it was on [August 14th]. And [Commitment] was gonna be a month earlier, and then it got pushed back to this new date. I was like, ‘No, you can’t make this up.’

“It’s very synonymous, because I feel like the way I wrote this album was very much in the same way that I did Born to Do It, where I didn’t have any, sort of, pressures of having to hit a date to finish the songs or make sure that we’re in the mix and in the know with what is the current trend that you need to be on,” he continues.

Commitment marks Craig’s ninth studio album, and he says he feels “like I’m back in that bag again.”

Despite having already spent 25 years in the music business, he shares he has more he’d like to do and share.

“We’ve got the songs to feel like we’re good, but the musician, hungry. I always wanna just be a student in the game. It’s always like, ‘OK, these are great, these accolades are great, the respect is great, the hits are great, but what did you do today?’” Craig shares. “And at that point you have to question yourself and you’re like, ‘Well, I haven’t written “7 Days” today, so I guess I need to get in the studio!’ And then the game begins.”

Commitment is now available on streaming services.

Belinda Carlisle‘s lips aren’t sealed when it comes the criticizing the current crop of female performers.

The Go-Go’s frontwoman and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer did an interview with The iPaper in which she decried the fact that today’s pop stars are trying too hard to be sexual onstage.  “These days, young women in the music industry are just so sexualized. Like, what happened? I don’t get it,” she’s quoted as saying.

When it’s pointed out to Carlisle that many women believe that taking control of their own sexuality is empowering, she responds, “It’s not empowering. It’s embarrassing. Yes, you will get attention, but not the right kind, and down the line you are going to look back and say, ‘Wish I hadn’t done that.’”

“I mean, Dua Lipa? It’s shocking!” she adds. “She’s so talented. She doesn’t need to do that.”

Carlisle goes on to say that after she went solo, a “big manager” told her that she should “show your t*** and sing some [songs about sex].” Carlisle’s reaction? “I said simply, “No, I don’t do that.”

She also notes that she and the rest of the Go-Go’s weren’t subject to the sexual abuse that many women in the music industry in the ’80s were. “No man ever messed with a Go-Go. We were like a five-headed monster,” she claims.

Carlisle will release a new album, Once Upon a Time in California, due Aug. 29. It’s a collection of cover versions of songs she loved growing up, like The Youngbloods‘ “Get Together,” Three Dog Night‘s “One” and The Hollies‘ “The Air That I Breathe.”
