Pink can fly over stadiums hanging upside down while singing in tune — so why can’t she balance precariously on one leg while wearing high heels?
The “Try” singer posted a TikTok on Thursday that showed her successfully completing the viral “Nicki Minaj stiletto challenge.” It’s named after a scene in a 2013 video by the rapper, in which she squats and balances on one leg, and crosses her other leg, all while wearing stiletto heels. People have so far managed to do the pose while balancing on things like podiums, dumbbells and paint cans, while others try and wipe out.
In Pink’s TikTok, she’s doing the pose while balancing on top of a box, wearing a bathing suit and casually drinking a bottle of beer and laughing. She captioned it, “Why my friends always wait till my third beer to make me do dumb s*** on TikTok.”
Nicki reposted the video on X and added heart, grimacing face and pink bow emojis.

Legendary singer Gladys Knight‘s health is in the spotlight amid a family dispute.
Despite her son Shanga Hankerson raising concerns about her cognitive health and her ability to work in an interview with entertainment media outlet The Shade Room, Knight says she’s “doing very well.”
“I’m sorry that my health and performances have been misrepresented,” Knight said in a statement to ABC News. “I want my fans and those concerned to rest assured I am doing very well for someone who has been on stage for three quarters of a century, hard to believe, right?”
“I’m healthy and happy and visiting friends and family these last few months,” she continued. “I’m excited to get back on the road with my sisters and on stage with The Queens Tour – see you soon.”
Knight’s publicist, Laura Herlovich, added in a separate statement to ABC News Friday, “Gladys and her team are greatly saddened by Shanga’s unfounded allegations, especially as he has had no substantial contact with her. She has not been on tour since June 1st and can’t wait to begin touring again in September. At this time our lawyers have no choice but to explore any and all legal remedies due to Shanga’s defamatory comments.”
Hankerson had previously told The Shade Room that he didn’t want his mother to tour again.
“I don’t want my mom out on tour, on a tour bus, wondering where she’s at,” Hankerson said.
Hankerson said he noticed in 2024 that his mom might not be in good health.
“She zoned out. They’re having to rewind the teleprompters because my mom is forgetting to even look at them,” he said.
Hankerson claimed he filed a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, accusing his mother’s current husband, William McDowell, of elder abuse.
“Not knowing where, who she is, not knowing where William is, is a big thing for her. And that’s my biggest issue,” Hankerson said.
McDowell told ABC News that he is letting Knight’s statement speak for the situation and wouldn’t be making any additional comments.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services told ABC News complaints are confidential and the agency does not comment on investigations.
Civil trial attorney Tre Lovell, who is not involved in the matter and does not represent Hankerson, Knight, or McDowell, told ABC News that if there is a complaint, the agency will need to investigate to figure out whether the claims are valid or not.
“North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, they need to step in, conduct their own investigation with their own health care experts, and determine whether or not somebody is suffering from some type of mental cognitive disability or condition and the type of remedy that that’s going to require,” Lovell said.
Known as the “Empress of Soul,” Knight burst onto the music scene with the Motown R&B group The Pips in 1961. Knight has won seven Grammys.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift on ‘New Heights’ (@newheightshow/Instagram)
Chances are that at some point on Wednesday night you watched at least part of Taylor Swift‘s appearance on her boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s New Heights podcast. After all, it’s racked up half a billion views in its video versions alone.
That’s according to Forbes, which cites data collected by the media analytics firm Mondo Metrics. The company tallied the views of official clips, short-form edits posted on New Heights‘ various socials and the full show, from the first teaser that dropped on Tuesday to Thursday at 5 p.m. ET.
The totals included some 379 million views on Instagram, 34.5 million views on TikTok, 51.4 million views on Facebook Reels and 61.6 million views on X. YouTube alone drew 20.4 million views as of Thursday afternoon, according to Mondo Metrics. At one point during Taylor’s two-hour appearance there were 1.3 million people tuning in simultaneously.
In terms of the non-video version of the interview — in which Taylor talked about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, the Eras Tour, her relationship with Travis, buying back her masters and more — Spotify tells ABC Audio that the episode is one of the top-performing podcast episodes of the entire year on the platform.
In addition, Spotify says the episode showed a 3,000% increase in new listeners, a 2,500% increase in average streams and a 618% increase in the number of female listeners to New Heights. About 1 hour and 45 minutes into the episode a technical glitch interrupted the YouTube version, so listeners switched over to Spotify to catch the end, resulting in a 1,100% jump in listening.
Old Dominion’s “Late Great Heartbreak” cover (Sony Music Nashville)
The creation of Old Dominion‘s newest song, “Late Great Heartbreak,” started with a simple question: “What if we made a Huey Lewis song?”
Of course, he’s the man responsible for ’80s hits like “The Power of Love,” “The Heart of Rock & Roll” and “If This Is It,” along with his band The News. Invoking his name opened a new vein of creativity for OD.
“The freedom we feel now comes through in the amount of fun we have during the recording process,” lead singer Matthew Ramsey says. “It was inspiring to goof off. There wasn’t any pressure in the room. We just wanted to laugh our a**** off and make a song that was catchy as hell.”
“Late Great Heartbreak” is the final preview of the band’s sixth album, Barbara, before it arrives Aug. 22. Old Dominion has revealed nearly half the record, including the tracks “Making Good Time,” “Me Most Nights,” “Water My Flowers,” “Man or the Song” and “Miss You Man.”
