Jackson Dean‘s having a little flirty fun with his new track, “Make a Liar.”

“‘Make A Liar’ is a cheeky turn of phrase, and the song is a little bundle of stumbling, bumbling fun,” he says of the song he co-wrote. “Seeing the fans’ reaction to this one has been a real treat – I hope they love it!”

So far this year, Jackson’s put out the new songs “Be Your Man” and “Turn on the Lights,” following 2024’s On the Back of My Dreams. His sophomore album features his current top-15 hit, “Heavens to Betsy.”

Jackson’s currently gearing up for a pretty impressive gig: He’ll headline Yellowstone and Landman creator Taylor Sheridan‘s first-ever Bosque Ranch Live concert Sept. 13 in Weatherford, Texas.

A decade ago, Selena Gomez experienced a Revival — and now she’s celebrating that 10-year milestone.

Selena is releasing a Revival 10-year anniversary deluxe vinyl via her online store. The two-LP set includes the 14 tracks on the deluxe version of the album, including “Hands to Myself,” “Good For You” and “Same Old Love.” It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in 2015.

Notably, years prior to them becoming romantically involved, Benny Blanco, Selena’s fiancé, co-produced several tracks on the album and co-wrote “Kill Em with Kindness.”

Selena wrote in an email to fans, “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I put out revival. From ‘Same Old Love’ to ‘Good For You,’ you all have shown this album so much love and I couldn’t be more grateful for all your support.”

And in other Selena Gomez news, a wax figure of the star has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds Orlando. It shows her wearing the red beaded floral gown she wore to the MTV VMAs in 2023, where she won the best Afrobeats song trophy for “Calm Down.” It took nine months and a team of 20 studio artists to create the figure.

Nita Strauss is officially 10 years sober.

The Alice Cooper guitarist and solo artist commemorated the milestone in an Instagram post Friday that she headlined, “Made it.”

“I remember my first few weeks of sobriety with this vague idea of ‘I’ll see if I can do 10 years,'” Strauss writes. “At the time, that number was PREPOSTEROUS. Might as well be a million billion years!! I thought I’d just bide my time, wait until things calmed down in my life and then everything could go back to normal.”

She continues, “I had no concept of all the gifts sobriety would bring into my life and how much better the new normal would be!”

Strauss shares that “sobriety still does not come ‘easily’ to me,” adding, “It’s something that you work at quietly every day, on some days that it never crosses your mind and some days harder than others.” She also thanks her husband and friends for their support.

“Sobriety can be a solitary road but it’s important to know that you don’t have to walk it alone when you don’t want to!!” Strauss says.

Strauss will be back on the road with Alice Cooper on tour alongside Judas Priest kicking off Sept. 16 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Miguel begins the rollout for his upcoming album, CAOS, with the surprise release of his new single, “New Martyrs (Ride 4 U).” It’s “a story about taking matters into one’s own hands to send a message—resounding and vulnerable all at once,” according to a press release. CAOS arrives on Oct. 23.

Lizzo follows up her previous mixtape with its sequel: My Face Still Hurts From Smiling. Like the original, the mixtape is filled with “bold vocals, memorable stadium-size hooks, and unmatched confidence,” per a press release. Lil Jon and Tierra Whack are on the EP.

Ice Cube previews his Man Up album with “Before Hip Hip,” out with an accompanying music video. “It’s easy and lazy to look at what’s going on in a lot of communities and blame hip-hop for everything. But the reality is the violence, pain, and broken systems were already here,” he says. “‘Before Hip Hop’ is calling out the revisionist, showing how crime and injustice existed long before hip hop music. We didn’t cause it — we just called it.” Man Up drops Sept. 12.

Queen Naija is starting a new chapter with “rain… .” “’rain…’ felt like the perfect song to open up with as I’m entering this new era,” she says in a statement. “A blend of sexy and sensual lyrics along with production that hits hard and brings you all the nostalgic feels. I had to remind y’all that no matter how versatile I can get, R&B will continue to run through my veins.”

Ice Spice and Latto hash out differences in the boxing ring in the new music video for “Gyatt,” a nod to their tension in the past. On the song, they rap about being desirable to men.

Lola Young has just released what she says is her “favorite” song from her new album, I’m Only F****** Myself, due out Sept. 19. It’s called “Spiders,” and in an email to fans, Lola says that making the yet-to-be-released video for the song cured her of her arachnophobia.

“i held a big a** spider for the video for my new song ‘Spiders’ and now i am no longer scared of them,” she writes. “This song is my favourite from my up and coming album. I know you guys are going to eat this one up. It’s a belter and still makes me cry when i hear it.”

“Sometimes i write a song and feel so proud to have written it,” she continues. “This is one of them, it’s out today. Enjoy, and next time you see a spider, try not to kill it.”

In a statement about the song, Lola adds, “Sometimes you want to kill what you’re most scared of in life, but when you actually face up to it, it’s really not as scary as you thought it would be.”

Lola will perform at the MTV VMAs on Sunday; she’s nominated for best new artist and best alternative for “Messy.”

On Sept. 23, she’ll be back in New York for a special Grammy Museum event in Brooklyn. Billed as “A New York Evening with Lola Young,” the event will feature Lola discussing her new album and her creative process, and doing a live performance. You can get tickets now at Universe.com.

Leon Thomas has new music on the way. In an interview with Billboard, he revealed he will release a seven-track EP in October that is “notably funkier, and at times more psychedelic” than his breakthrough album, Mutt. He says it will carry on the energy he received from Parliament-Funkadelic‘s own George Clinton, who praised “Mutt” and presented him a customized white hat with rhinestones at Coachella in April.

Until then, however, Leon continues the rollout for Mutt, which originally dropped in September 2024. He’s made appearances on late-night talk shows, released a deluxe version, announced a tour and made sure to visit local radio stations.

“It’s tough, sometimes, as an artist when you go to a meeting and all the ideas are TikToks,” Leon says. “You have to build the machine around your music and make friends with the power players in traditional media. I still agree with this being a people’s industry. Shaking hands is important; not being a d*** is important.”

Despite nearly a year of promoting the project, he adds he doesn’t “really mind being in this position where we push Mutt for so long because it deserves to be heard by the world.”

“I’m excited to be one of the trailblazers who brings back those old feelings without having to steal their chords or melodies,” Leon tells Billboard.

Zac Brown Band’s ‘Love & Fear’ (Master of None)

You get the chance to step into the studio with Zac Brown and Dolly Parton in their new video for “Butterfly.”

“Getting to record ‘Butterfly’ with Dolly is a dream come true,” Zac says of the new track from Zac Brown Band‘s Love & Fear album. “She’s always been one of my biggest inspirations, not just as an artist, but as a person. Collaborating with her brought a whole new perspective to the song.”

“Together, we were able to capture the power of storytelling,” he adds, “weaving a narrative we hope will deeply resonate with listeners. Her voice brings so much heart and soul to this track and singing it with her was pure magic. This song was written for my kids for all the challenges life brings.”

ZBB’s seventh studio album arrives Dec. 5, the same day they kick off their Sphere Las Vegas residency. While the December dates are sold out, a limited number of tickets still remain in January.

The new Love & Fear track “Give It Away” is out now, as well.

The Last Dinner Party has shared a new song called “The Scythe,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, From the Pyre.

“This song began 9 years ago, like a prophecy,” says vocalist Abigail Morris. “I wrote it before I had known anything of grief or heartbreak, how a relationship ending feels exactly the same as that person dying.”

“The Scythe” is accompanied by a black-and-white video following the relationship of an elderly couple, which you can watch on YouTube.

“The music video for ‘The Scythe’ is one of our proudest and most intimate,” Morris says. “From one angle it’s a celebration of all the relationships that make it so far you both feel like you can live forever, from another it’s the fantasy of imagining what it would look like if your parents had been able to grow old together.”

From the Pyre, which also includes the previously released song “This Is the Killer Speaking,” drops Oct. 17. It’s the follow-up to The Last Dinner Party’s 2024 debut, Prelude to Ecstasy, which includes their breakout single, “Nothing Matters.”
