Coheed and Cambria has released a new version of their song “Goodbye, Sunshine,” featuring 311 frontman Nick Hexum.

The updated track is dubbed “Goodbye, Sunshine (Endless Summer)” and, befitting of its guest and title, has much more of a beachy, tropical vibe compared to the original. Coheed was inspired to rework the tune after performing a stripped down rendition of “Goodbye, Sunshine” during a radio performance.

“We enjoyed the version so much, we chose to explore it further by enlisting the help of 311’s Nick Hexum and dub producer The Scientist,” says frontman Claudio Sanchez.

“Goodbye, Sunshine (Endless Summer)” is accompanied by a video that references the past Coheed video for “A Favor House Atlantic” and the 1986 movie Club Paradise. You can watch that on YouTube.

The original “Goodbye, Sunshine” appears on Coheed’s new album, The Father of Make Believe, which dropped in March.

Coheed and Cambria is currently touring the U.S. in support of The Father of Make Believe alongside Taking Back Sunday.

Released in October 1986, “Livin’ on a Prayer” was written by Jon Bon JoviRichie Sambora and Desmond Child and became Bon Jovi’s second single to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, following “You Give Love a Bad Name.”

Brandy and Monica nearly argue over Dunkin’s Cereal ‘N Milk Latte in a new ad promoting the brand’s latest drink. The two are spotted in a dressing room as they attempt to figure out the owner of the one drink on the table.

“This is mine, right?” Brandy asks, to which Monica responds, “I gotta be honest, I thought it was mine.” “Not yours,” Brandy claps back. “But mine,” Monica says, grabbing the drink from Brandy.

Brandy puts an end to the back-and-forth, deciding not to go down the same path they did years ago on their 1998 song “The Boy is Mine.”

“We are not doing this again – can someone get us a Cereal ‘N Milk Latte please?” asks the “Full Moon” singer, who is immediately given another latte from someone off camera.

“When two great things come together, it’s harmony,” Monica says.

The new Cereal ‘N Milk Latte, which blends espresso with cereal milk and a marshmallow flavor, is now available nationwide.

It arrives ahead of Brandy and Monica’s co-headlining The Boy Is Mine tour, which is set to kick off in October.

“The song was such a monumental song and so many people loved it, but it just never just seemed like it was the right time. But now coming together all of these years later, it just seems like this is the perfect time,” Brandy tells People of their upcoming outing.

Monica teases the trek will be filled with surprises, as they “aren’t sharing any details about it.”

“One of the things that is so sorely missed … you don’t get the chance to just be genuinely surprised like you used to back in the ’90s,” she said. “That was something that was always a plus because you didn’t know what to expect, so you were so happy as you were experiencing it.”

Jack White dubbed ‘has-been loser’ by White House communications director

Jack White has joined Bruce Springsteen in the club of rockers who’ve been insulted by the Donald Trump administration.

While The Boss was labeled a “jerk” and “highly overrated” by the president, White House communications director Steven Cheung deems the “Seven Nation Army” rocker a “has-been loser” in a statement to The Daily Beast.

Cheung’s remarks come in response to a recent Instagram post by White in which he criticized Trump’s gold-plated makeover of the White House.

“Look at how disgusting trump has transformed the historic White House,” White wrote. “It’s now a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler’s dressing room.”

Cheung says in his statement, “Jack White is a washed up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career.”

“It’s apparent he’s been masquerading as a real artist, because he fails to appreciate, and quite frankly disrespects, the splendor and significance of the Oval Office inside of ‘The People’s House,'” Cheung adds.

We’re guessing White won’t mind drawing the ire of the current White House, as he’s long been critical of Trump. During his 2016 campaign, White’s Third Man Records began selling a T-shirt reading “Icky Trump,” a play on the White Stripes song “Icky Thump.”

As for his alleged stalled career, White’s spent much of 2025 touring behind his latest solo album, No Name, which spawned the #1 Billboard Alternative Airplay single “That’s How I’m Feeling.”

A unique concert from Peter Gabriel is coming to Blu-ray this fall.

Taking the Pulse is a recording of a Sept. 26, 2010, concert under the stars at Arena di Verona in Italy. It was part of Gabriel’s New Blood tour, which ran from March 2010 to July 2012.

For the concert, the former Genesis frontman was backed by 50 musicians from the New Blood Orchestra, conducted by Ben Foster. Gabriel’s daughter Melanie Gabriel joined him for the performance, while his daughter Anna Gabriel directed the film.

The concert features new arrangements of Gabriel classics by John Metcalf, with the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer backed only by the orchestra — no other drums or guitars were used.

Among the songs featured in the concert are “Digging in the Dirt,” “Red Rain,” “In Your Eyes,” “Solsbury Hill” and “Don’t Give Up.”

And fans are getting a preview of the concert with the release of a performance video for “Downside Up,” a track from Gabriel’s 2011 album, New Blood.

Taking the Pulse will be released Oct. 10 and is available for preorder now.

Sammy Hagar responds to David Lee Roth’s tale of Eddie Van Halen’s ghost

Sammy Hagar has responded to David Lee Roth’s recent story in which he claimed that like Sammy, he was visited in a dream by the ghost of their former Van Halen bandmate Eddie Van Halen.

Roth’s comments came during a concert in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. He seemed to be mocking Hagar’s clam that his recent single, “Encore, Thank You, Good Night,” was inspired by a dream he had in which he was visited by Eddie’s ghost.

Roth first complimented Hagar, calling him “one of my esteemed colleagues” with a “great voice.” He then told his audience he too had been visited by Eddie’s ghost, who told him that Hagar’s tune was actually Iron Butterfly’s hit “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” backward.

And while many online have interpreted Roth’s comments as making fun of Hagar, that’s not how Hagar sees it.

After the Instagram account Metal Addicts shared a screenshot of their story with the headline “David Lee Roth takes a jab at Sammy Hagar over Eddie Van Halen’s ‘ghost’ story,” Hagar felt the need to respond.

“I can’t believe social media is trying to make something out of this,” Hagar wrote. “This is the first compliment and [real olive branch] moment dave and I have had in 100 years. Listen closely and you will see that this is not negative whatsoever.”

He added, “And I believe dave had the dream as well. Dave’s a good storyteller, but there’s some truth in between the showmanship. all good with me keep it up Dave these songs we both wrote with Eddie need to be carried on forever.”

Florence + the Machine has premiered a new song called “Everybody Scream,” the first single and title track off the band’s upcoming album.

“Everybody Scream” is accompanied by a video that, befitting of its title, does feature a lot of screaming in between shots of Florence Welch dancing amid bodies convulsing around her.

You can watch the “Everybody Scream” video on YouTube.

The album Everybody Scream marks the sixth Florence + the Machine album, and their first since 2022’s Dance Fever.

“After needing lifesaving surgery on the Dance Fever Tour, Florence’s recovery took her down the path of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folk horror as she felt the limits of her body and explored what it means to be ‘healed,'” a press release reads. “The album treads through womanhood, partnership, aging and dying; exposing the murky in the mundane.”

Everybody Scream is out on Halloween, Oct. 31.
