The shows take place Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California, and will feature two completely unique Primus sets each night.

Presales begin Thursday at 10 a.m. PT, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. PT. For all ticket info, visit Primusville.com.

The NYE performances will cap an eventful year for Primus, which included the introduction of new drummer John Hoffman following the 2024 departure of Tim “Herb” Alexander. Primus’ 2025 has also included joining A Perfect Circle and Puscifer on the Sessanta tour.

Dua Lipa‘s video for “Levitating” has hit 1 billion views on YouTube. While the song never hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, it spent 41 weeks in the top 10 and became Billboard‘s #1 song of 2021. It is now the biggest song by a solo female artist of the 21st century. It’s Dua’s third video to hit the milestone, after “New Rules” and “No Lie.”

Carly Rae Jepsen will celebrate the 10th anniversary of her acclaimed album E•MO•TION with a special anniversary edition, out Oct. 17. It includes six bonus tracks: two remixes of “Run Away with Me” and the unreleased songs “More,” “Guardian Angel,” “Back of My Heart” and “Lost in Devotion.” You can hear “More” now and also preorder the album. Carly celebrated the album with a concert at LA’s Troubadour Tuesday, which is where she first performed songs from the album in 2015.

Joe Jonas seems to have a knack for sharing embarrassing TMI stories during interviews. His latest revelation comes in the TikTok series Are You Okay? He was asked, “What is one embarrassing memory that keeps you up at night?” “I joined the Mile High Club a couple years ago,” he shared. “I was wearing contacts. Left the bathroom, I thought I was high-fiving my drummer. After the high five, I realized it was the flight attendant.” Fortunately, the whole thing took place on a private plane. And yes, Joe says, it was worth it.

Kansas has added a new member to the band.

The “Carry On My Wayward Son” rockers revealed on Facebook that guitarist Scott Bernard has officially joined the band. Bernard has been playing with Kansas over the past year as a fill-in for guitarist and original member Richard Williams when needed.

The band notes that while Williams is still “an active member of Kansas,” he will be “scaling back touring.”

“Scott Bernard is a fantastic guitar player, a great guy, and is my hand-picked choice to help carry on the legacy of the band Kansas,” says Williams. “I am not stepping down nor retiring. But I am slowing down.”

He says traveling has become difficult due to macular degeneration, an age-related eye condition, but assures fans, “I will still be at, and perform at, as many concerts as I can.”

Bernard is a session guitarist and vocalist who has worked with Kenny Loggins for 17 years. He’s also worked with artists like Michael McDonaldRichard MarxAl Stewart and more.

“To say that I am excited to join the Kansas family is quite the understatement,” Bernard says. “As a lifelong Kansas fan, their music has been an integral part of my musical upbringing.” He adds, “I am deeply humbled to be chosen to help perpetuate their legacy, which is both a privilege and a surreal experience.”

Kansas is currently on tour and will play Wheeling, West Virginia, on Friday. A complete list of dates can be found at KansasBand.com.

Ariana Grande used to be a Nickelodeon star, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a fan of Disney Channel. In fact, one Disney star is over the moon that Ariana sang one of her songs.

On the Instagram page for her r.e.m. beauty line, Ari is shown applying one of her liquid eyeshadows. As she adds more and more, she says, “More. Why not?” Then she begins singing Hilary Duff‘s 2003 song “Why Not,” with her signature vibrato and vocal embellishments: “Why not take a crazy chance?/ Why not do a crazy dance?/ If you lose the moment, you might lose a lot/ So, why not?”

“Why Not” is from the soundtrack of Hilary’s film The Lizzie McGuire Movie; it also appeared on her 2003 album, Metamorphosis, in a slightly different form.

Hilary reposted Ari’s video to her Instagram Story and captioned it, “Well I get gotten by AI a lot – but this really happened,” adding the happy tears emoji.

Late last year and early this year, Ariana spent a lot of time with another former Disney star: Selena Gomez. Both were on the awards show circuit for their respective award-winning films Wicked and Emilia Pérez.

Blondie has been teasing a new album in the works since November, and it looks like we now have more information about the release.

press release announcing a special edition of the 2023 Z2 Comics graphic novel Blondie: Against the Odds reveals the title and time frame for the album, noting the graphic novel is coming “ahead of the spring 2026 release of Blondie’s new studio album HIGH NOON.

No other information on the album has been released.

Blondie founder Chris Stein first started teasing a new album in November, sharing a black-and-white photo of frontwoman Debbie Harry in the studio along with the caption, “New Blondie album next year.” He later revealed they were working with producer John Congleton, who produced their last album, 2017’s Pollinator.

In July, Stein also revealed in a post on X that the band’s late drummer Clem Burke, who died in April, played on the album.

As for Blondie: Against All Odds, an LCSD edition will be released on Sept. 27 to coincide with Local Comic Shop Day. The new edition, available exclusively at comic book stores across the country, will feature a new dust jacket with art from rising comic book illustrator Montos. There will also be an oversized deluxe edition that comes in a slipcase, available at Z2comics.com.

“One of the things that brought us all together as a band was comics and comic art,” says Harry. “No matter how you slice it, Blondie has its roots deep into the genre.”

The graphic novel includes what’s described as “a surreal and phantasmagoric interpretation of the oral history of the band,” and features artists and writers offering up illustrations and stories interpreting 15 of Blondie’s songs.

Teyana Taylor is hosting an exclusive livestream and screening Friday for her new short film, Escape Room

The event will take place at the Culver Theater and Amazon Music’s Culver City HQ, kicking off with a red carpet and wrapping up with a Q&A moderated by Lena Waithe. A press release for the event also notes there will be “special guests.”

The livestream will give fans a chance to watch the film, a visual representation of Teyana’s Escape Room album, which explores the human experience and more specifically a journey from heartbreak to healing, according to the release. It is also said to feature a few songs from the project.

Escape Room isn’t just a film or an album, it’s a world I built to live in, bleed in, and heal in,” Teyana says of her upcoming releases. “I poured my heart into every layer, from the story to the sound, to capture that journey we all take through the shadows of heartbreak, whether that’s love lost, friendships broken, dreams deferred and guide you toward the lightness of healing.”

“It’s the visual representation of my scars, the picture of my healing, and a mirror for anyone ready to face their own truth,” she continues. “This is more than a story… it’s a place to break free.”

The livestream begins Friday at 8 p.m. PT exclusively on the Amazon Music app and Twitch. It will be available to watch on Prime Video following the screening.

Sabrina Carpenter has been hosting private “play dates” for her new album, Man’s Best Friend, but if you’re not lucky enough to get invited to one of those, you’ll still be able to hear the album surrounded by like-minded fans, aka Carpenters.

Record stores across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia and the Netherlands will be holding Man’s Best Friend listening parties, starting on the release date, Aug. 29, and running throughout the weekend. She’s posted a list of participating stores on her Instagram, but you’ll have to contact the store nearest you for dates, times and details.

At each store you’ll be able to buy the album on colored vinyl that won’t be available anywhere else; some stores, like every branch of Newbury Comics across the U.S., are also offering prizes and giveaways. But don’t expect Sabrina to show up in person for these events — she won’t be there.
