The clip was filmed outside Charleston, South Carolina, on the Isle of Palms.
“Hanging out on the beach with Hootie & The Blowfish, one of my favorite bands of all time, and filming the video for ‘Bottle Rockets’ was just a perfect day for me,” Scotty says. “Darius [Rucker], Mark [Bryan], Dean [Felber], and Soni [Jim Sonefeld] are not only talented, but just great guys. I’ve been so excited at all that success that ‘Bottle Rockets’ has had so far, and I’m glad we were able to get together and create this video for everyone.”
“Bottle Rockets” is on Scotty’s Scooter & Friends EP, which came out in July.
Alex Warren’s album ‘You’ll Be Alright, Kid’ (Atlantic Records)
Alex Warren‘s “Ordinary” continues its extraordinary success on the Billboard charts.
After spending 10 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 and topping the publication’s Songs of the Summer chart, the romantic song has now notched a 14th week at #1 on Billboard‘s Pop Airplay chart, which measures radio play on over 150 pop stations nationwide.
That means “Ordinary” has now equaled the song that’s held the record for the longest run on top of that chart for the past 31 years: “The Sign” by Ace of Base. That song was also #1 for 14 weeks back in 1994.
Since then, the only song that’s come close has been “Stay” by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber, which spent 13 weeks on top in 2021.
In other Alex Warren news, he’s announced an arena tour of the U.K. and Europe, dubbed the Little Orphan Alex tour, for 2026. There’s no word yet on North American dates for 2026, but the latest leg of his current Cheaper Than Therapy tour kicks off Tuesday in Indianapolis.

”I’ve said it before, but it’s like working for Batman,” Watt, who’s also produced albums for Pearl Jam, Ozzy Osbourne and Elton John, tells the mag. “When the tongue is up in the air, you just go.”
He adds, “I can say we did some recording together, but that’s all I can say.”
Released in October 2023, Hackney Diamonds was The Stones’ first album of new material since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. The album topped the chart in the U.K. and Australia, and peaked at #3 in the U.S.

REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin is set to reunite with his bandmates for a special event in September.
In September 2024, REO Speedwagon announced they were going to cease touring as of January 2025. Following that announcement there seemed to be some bad blood between Cronin and his former bandmate, bassist Bruce Hall, and Cronin has since been touring as the Kevin Cronin Band. Well, now it appears that any issues between the bandmates have been put aside.
Hall shared on Facebook that REO Speedwagon, which formed in Illinois, will be the grand marshals at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s homecoming parade on Sept. 26. In addition, the school’s band, the Marching Illini, will be performing selections of REO’s music during the halftime show on Sept. 27, with the rockers playing along.
Although Hall’s initial post didn’t indicate whether Cronin would be taking part in the festivities, Cronin has now confirmed that he will be there.
“I am honored to have been approached by representatives of the University of Illinois, and invited to appear on the field for the Homecoming Game halftime show on September 27,” Cronin wrote on social media, noting it’s “been too many years to count” since he and his REO Speedwagon bandmates, Hall, Neal Doughty and AlanGratzer, have all been together.
“As a songwriter, there are few greater honors than to hear other artists and musicians perform my songs,” he adds. “I know I will be looking on in awe as the four hundred-plus Marching Illini pay tribute to the music of REO Speedwagon with an all-REO halftime presentation.”

Nelly and his Apple Bottom brand have teamed with Bubly sparking water for his latest campaign.
It features the limited return of Bubly’s crisp apple flavor, the launch of Y2K-style Apple Bubly jeans, and a remix of “Low” featuring Flo Rida and T-Pain, where the phrase “Apple Bottom jeans” is fittingly replaced with “Apple Bubly jeans.”
The jeans are designed like a traditional pair of Apple Bottoms with the back pockets shaped like an apple.
“Apple Bottoms has always been about celebrating curves and culture,” Nelly said in a statement, per WWD. “This collab with Bubly is the perfect way to give fans something familiar yet fresh — the jeans, the fizz and that classic apple energy.”
Nelly revived his Apple Bottom brand in 2024 because of his female fans, who he credits for its success.
“My fan base that had been showing me unbelievable support all throughout my career, they stood up for Apple Bottoms at that time where I think just all of the urban fashion was really the fashion at the time,” he told People.
He also teased a future Apple Bottoms collaboration with wife Ashanti, telling fans, “You got to wait for that one.”

Def Leppard is revisiting their 2023 hometown show in Sheffield, England, with a new live release.
Diamond Star Heroes Live From Sheffield, dropping Nov. 21, is a recording of their concert at Sheffield’s Bramall Lane during their world tour with Mötley Crüe.
The show, 47 years after the birth of the band, had them playing in front of 40,000 fans, treating the hometown crowd to such hits as “Photograph,” “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” “Animal,” “Foolin’” and more. They also performed the Diamond Star Halos track “This Guitar,” which was dedicated to their late guitarist Steve Clark, who died in 1991.
Diamond Star Heroes Live From Sheffield will be released in a variety of formats, including two-CD + Blu-ray, two-CD and two-LP. The vinyl is pressed on red, white and black splatter to honor the home kit colors of Sheffield United FC, the football team that plays at the same venue.
The release will also come out on 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition), which, in addition to the Bramall Lane show, will include Def Leppard’s 2023 Sheffield club show, One Night Only Live at The Leadmill. That show took place just days before the stadium gig.

Morrissey has canceled a pair of upcoming shows after allegedly receiving a death threat.
According to the Ottawa Citizen, a post made by a user on the social networking platform Bluesky threatened to shoot the former Smiths singer “many times and kill you with a very large gun that I own illegally” during his Sept. 12 show in Ottawa, Canada.
The show went on without incident. However, since the Ottawa Citizen article was published Wednesday, Morrissey has scrapped his shows scheduled for Friday at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and Saturday at Boston’s MGM Music Hall.
“Due to recent events and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and band, the upcoming shows this weekend at Foxwoods and MGM Music Hall have been cancelled,” reads a post on Morrissey’s Instagram. “All tickets will be refunded automatically at your original point of purchase. We appreciate your understanding.”
According to the Ottawa Citizen, Noah Castellano was arrested and charged for allegedly making the post. Castellano declined to comment to the Ottawa Citizen.
Ed Sheeran, ‘Play’ album (Gingerbread Man Records/Atlantic Records)
All the work that Ed Sheeran‘s been doing for months to promote his new album, Play, has paid off in his native U.K.
Play has debuted at #1 on the U.K.’s official album chart, giving him his ninth chart-topper back home. He now has had more #1 albums on that chart than Oasis, Led Zeppelin, George Michael, Pink Floyd or Phil Collins. Ed’s first #1 album came in 2011 with Plus.
Ed wrote on Instagram, “9th UK number one album. 15 years into my career this isn’t a given at all, I’m so so grateful for all the love and support from my fanbase. Thank you, for always x.”
We’ll find out on Sunday whether Play does the same on the Billboard 200 album chart — he’ll have to get past the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack to do it.
