After debuting at #1 on the chart in the U.K., Ed Sheeran‘s new album, Play, debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200, giving him his eighth top-10 album in the U.S. He wrote in an email to fans, “Just wanted to say thanks for [all] the love on the record … it’s scary putting out new music into the world, especially something I’ve worked so hard on and put so much time into it, but it warms the ol’ heart when people find deep connections with it.”

Chappell Roan often performs a cover of Heart‘s song “Barracuda” in concert, but during her Sunday concert in Forest Hills, New York, she was joined by an actual member of Heart: guitarist Nancy Wilson. Nancy played the song’s famous riff, sang backup vocals, and jumped up and down while Chappell sang the 1977 rock classic.

Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman is being honored with a new stamp collection.

Isle of Man Stamps and Coins has announced that the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s work is being celebrated in a new set of six stamps. The collection features illustrations by artist Roger Dean, best known for his work designing album covers for musicians in the ’60s and ’70s. His first album cover for Yes was 1971’s Fragile, which was the first to feature Wakeman.

Dean says he’s “always enjoyed working” with Wakeman, who he met when he was working on Fragile. He notes, “Designing this new set of Isle of Man stamps has been a joy and a tribute to that long collaboration.”

According to the description, the stamp collection highlights “key moments from Wakeman’s remarkable career,” including his solo albums Journey to the Centre of the Earth and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

“I am honored to have my career featured on these stamps having spent many years as a resident of the Isle of Man,” says Wakeman, who moved to the island in the Irish Sea, between Great Britain and Ireland, in 1987. “Roger Dean’s artwork has always felt like a natural extension of the music I’ve created, and to see our worlds brought together on stamps is both surreal and wonderful.”

The stamps are available to order now at iomstamps.com.

Nothing can stop “Golden” from going up, up, up.

The HUNTR/X song from the Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a sixth week, making it the longest-running soundtrack chart-topper in more than a decade. The last song from a movie to spend that much time on top was “See You Again” by Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa, from Fast & Furious 7. That track spent 12 weeks on top in the spring and summer of 2015.

In terms of movie songs from this decade, “Golden” has now surpassed “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, which spent five weeks on top in 2022.

As previously reported, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, which has now fallen to #2 after topping the chart, is the first to spin off four simultaneous top-10 hits. Currently, “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol,” both by the movie’s other fictional K-pop group, Saja Boys, are at #5 and #6 on the Hot 100. “How It’s Done,” also by HUNTR/X, is at #10.

Is Cardi B the drama? If so, she’s bringing it all to the 2025 Global Citizen Festival. She’s joined the lineup for the event, taking place Saturday in Central Park. The Weeknd has dropped his spot due to personal reasons.

“We are incredibly grateful to Cardi B, who has joined the Global Citizen Festival line-up. She’s an outstanding performer, who will light up Central Park in spectacular fashion,” Hugh Evans, Global Citizen co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We wish The Weeknd support and want to thank him and his fans for all taking action with us to help end extreme poverty.”

Cardi also expressed excitement for the opportunity, which she notes is slightly different than other festivals.

“Central Park, I’m coming for you!!! I can’t wait to be home in New York, and to bring my new songs and all the DRAMA to the Global Citizen Festival,” she said in a statement. “This one’s not like other music festivals — this one is about coming together to help children around the world, and I’m so proud to support such an important cause. New York City — see you Saturday. Let’s get it!!!”

Tickets to the Global Citizen Festival are currently available, with options to earn tickets via the Global Citizen app.

Tyler, The Creator concludes Chromakopia World tour, says he’s taking a ‘very long break’

Tyler, The Creator concludes Chromakopia World tour, says he’s taking a ‘very long break’
AEG Presents

Tyler, The Creator says he’s taking a “very long break” from music. He shared the news Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines, where he concluded his Chromakopia World Tour.

“I’m excited to go home and think about if I’ll ever really tour again. … I can’t lie to y’all, I’m at that part of my life where, man, I’ve done enough,” he said. “Let me go take a very, very, very long break. … Y’all treated me very well, y’all treated Paris Texas very well. So, thank y’all.”

Tyler kicked off his tour in February with supporting acts Lil Yachty and Paris Texas. He performed on stages throughout North America, Europe and Australia, all while making time to gift fans with the surprise release Don’t Tap the Glass.

He previously told Apple Music the 2025 album was purposely lighthearted following the heavy content on Chromakopia.

Chromakopia was so … I’m not saying it’s the most mature, deep s***,” he said. “But whether it’s me talking about my relationship with my hair and how that’s affected me, or me almost being a father last year, or the relationship that I have with my father now, just so many things that I decided to dive deep into. After the weight of that got off, I just wanted to be silly again.”

“I just want to be fun and say outrageous s*** and … inside jokes that me and my friends laugh at, and just talk big fly s***,” Tyler continued. “That was the goal. That was the main 100% goal.”
