Queens of the Stone Age launched their U.S. Catacombs tour Thursday in Chicago, and along with the promised reimagined versions of past songs, the set included the debut of a new track seemingly titled “Easy Street.”

As seen in fan-shot footage, the “Easy Street” performance was driven by acoustic guitar and featured multiple instances of clapping sections provided by frontman Josh Homme.

The Catacombs tour is inspired by QotSA’s performance at the famed Catacombs of Paris, which was recorded for a live album and concert film.

For those who might be attending a show, a press release notes, “Appropriate dress is encouraged — you’ll want to look as good as the music is going to sound on this very special evening at the theater.”

The Catacombs tour continues Friday in Detroit and concludes Nov. 21 in New Orleans.

The Beatles have shared yet another tune from their upcoming Anthology reissue.

The legendary band has released an alternate take on the classic “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” the George Harrison-penned track that originally appeared on 1968’s The Beatles aka the White Album.

The clip, titled “While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Take 27),” opens with Harrison giving someone his meal order. He says, “I’ll just have cheese and lettuce and Marmite sandwich and coffee.” It ends with the band cutting the song short after Harrison tries to hit a high note, with Harrison joking, “It’s OK, I sang, tried to do a Smokey and I just aren’t Smokey.”

A post on Instagram explains that this version has Harrison “attempting to channel his musical hero Smokey Robinson.

This is the second bonus track The Beatles have shared from the upcoming Anthology rerelease. They previously released “Helter Skelter (Second Version – Take 17).”

The Beatles will release the Anthology Collection box set on Nov. 21, featuring the original three Anthology albums, plus a new fourth installment, Anthology 4, that includes 13 previously unreleased tracks. The set will be released digitally and as a 12-LP or eight-CD collection.

Anthology 4 will also be released on its own, as a three-LP or two-CD set, featuring 36 tracks, including the previously unreleased recordings.

All formats are available for preorder now.

In addition to the Anthology music collection, a restored and remastered version of the eight-part Anthology documentary, which aired on ABC in 1995, will debut Nov. 26 on Disney+ with a new ninth episode. A 25th anniversary edition of The Beatles Anthology book will be released Oct. 1.

That’s the name of a new compilation album due out Nov. 14. It features fan-favorite rare songs, many of which have never been on streaming platforms before. Josh calls it “a giant thank you to my fans for keeping these songs in their hearts my whole career.”

Josh wrote on Instagram, “When we started writing I was talking a lot about how my incredible partner [Natalie McQueen] and I always say in times we can’t control—of which there are many—’we have to be the constant.’ I feel like this sentiment is so true in so many relationships, friendships and families.”

He adds, “I’m so proud of this song and can’t wait to sing it live for you one day. … Thank you all for being the constant during 25 years of this crazy dream.”

The songs on Hidden Gems include two tracks recorded for a limited-edition Hallmark Valentine’s Day album, a song recorded for the movie Troy and a cover of Elton John‘s “Empty Sky.”

Here’s the track list:
“The Constant”
“Signs”
“Everything You Needed”
“The Mystery Of Your Gift” (featuring Brian Byrne and The American Boychoir)
“Smile”
“With You”
“My Heart Was Home Again”

Joining him will be Ben Folds, Norah Jones, opera star Renée Fleming, jazz trumpeter Terence Blanchard, singer and actor Jordan Fisher, and Sesame Street‘s Elmo and Ernie. The Find Your Light Foundation raises money for arts education programs.

Children were not off limits in the latest resurgence of Nicki Minaj‘s beef with Cardi B. Nicki kicked it off Thursday night, directing a message to Cardi’s daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, who she called “ugly,” a “roach” and a “monkey” during the heated exchange.

“Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose and one day you’ll understand… you’re a cute child & lots of kids have cute little funny looking gums before they grow into all of their features,” Nicki wrote on X. “I apologize. As a child of God & QUEEN of my community who look to me for integrity… you’re an innocent child & don’t deserve any of this.”

“One day your mother, aunt & many more will be brought to their knees for what they’ve said AND TRIED to do to my young prophet/beautiful boy,” she continued. “Take care my darling. This isn’t who I am.”

Cardi responded with a post to Nicki’s son, Papa Bear, which also included shots toward Nicki and her family. She’d previously questioned Papa’s intellectual and behavioral abilities during the back-and-forth with Nicki.

“Dear papa perc, I’m sorry that your mommy haven’t cut you a birthday cake for the past 3 days cause she can’t take my success or happiness,” Cardi wrote. “One day you going to grow up and I hope you understand when a girl says NO it means NO and you can overcome the pedophilia blood you inherited from you your grandfather, father and uncle.”

“Please don’t hate me when you grow up cause your mommy rather give me more attention than she gives you,” she added. “Hopefully when somebody that really cares about her puts her in rehab and get her the help she needs she come out and read you a book.”

Eric Church will deliver the 2026 spring commencement address at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“Being asked to be the Commencement speaker at North Carolina is one of the greatest honors I’ve ever had,” he says. “Being a Tar Heel ‘born, bred, dead’ and knowing what the school has meant to me and my family, it’s surreal.”

“To be able to be there and celebrate the future, the students at the University of North Carolina as they go onto their next journey, I’m honored to do it, and I can’t wait to see everybody there,” he adds.

Eric will give his speech May 9 at Kenan Stadium.

“A proud North Carolinian and one of country music’s most influential voices, Eric Church has long been a devoted Tar Heel fan and supporter of our University,” Chancellor Lee H. Roberts says. “His significant efforts to help rebuild western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene reflect his steadfast commitment to his hometown and our state. I am confident his perspective will encourage the Class of 2026 as they begin the next stage of their lives.”

Currently on the Free Machine Tour, Eric plays Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, Friday night.

Lady Gaga seems to be ready for her next big role — but it’s not in a movie or a TV show.

While appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Thursday night, the talk show host asked Gaga if she’d like to continue acting, or perhaps star on Broadway. “I would like to do many things, yeah. I mean, all of these things. But I, what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”

Gaga also raved about her fiancé, Michael Polansky, calling him her “best friend in the whole world.” She added, “He’s just incredibly brilliant and sweet and kind and he just fights for me every day. I think I felt for a long time that I was navigating this thing on my own and it was hard. And it’s not anymore. And I’m very lucky.”

Colbert noted that Gaga seems very happy right now and asked her, “Is a happy artist as productive as one who would be perceived of as ‘tortured’?” Gaga confirmed, “Without a doubt.”

Interestingly, Gaga echoed what Taylor Swift, who is also engaged, told BBC 1 Radio on Friday — that she’d always wondered, “What if writing is directly tied to my torment and pain?” She then answered her own question: “And it turns out, that’s not the case at all.”
