ZZ Top‘s Billy F Gibbons has announced a 2026 U.S. tour.

The outing runs from Jan. 20 in Napa, California, to Feb. 28. in Atlanta. For the shows, Gibbons will be joined by his BFG Band, which features Chris “Whipper” Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble on drums and Mike “The Drifter” Flanigin on Hammond organ, bass and backing vocals.

“I’m joined with Whipper and The Drifter, in our collective Texas collective blues tradition,” Gibbons says. “There’s a bond that speaks volumes about our sonic skew.”

“One might hear a surf tune or some other detour of loudness as what we do is looser than our collective background might suggest,” the “La Grange” rocker continues. “We predict good times as we always say, ‘Ya’ can’t lose with the blues.'”

Presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Young Bleed, formerly of No Limit Records, passed away on Saturday, his son Ty’Gee Ramon Clifton has confirmed.

He announced the news on social media while dispelling rumors surrounding his father’s death.

“As of Nov. 1, my dad gained his wings,” he said in a video on Instagram, clarifying that his father died of an aneurysm at 51 years old. He said that Young Bleed “didn’t really have no health issues” but suffered the health emergency at an after-party celebrating the Verzuz battle between No Limit and Cash Money Records.

“Rip to the biggest legend I kno…. Young bleed!!!” Ty’Gee captioned the Instagram post. “Love u Dad so much and will definitely miss u… but imma carry the torch from here I got u.” He later explained that the GoFundMe his family initially set up for medical expenses will now be use to raise money for his father’s burial expenses.

Born Glenn Reid Clifton Jr., Young Bleed had his first real taste of fame in 1997 when his song with C-Loc, “How Ya Do Dat,” was released. It appeared on the soundtrack to Master P‘s film I’m Bout It. It was later included on Young Bleed’s 1998 debut album, All I Have In The World, Are … My Balls and My Word, which went Gold and topped Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop album chart.

He had a total of nine studio albums.

Reba McEntire is “happier now than I’ve ever been in my life,” in part thanks to her romance with her fiancé, Rex Linn — although she admits she didn’t immediately say yes to his proposal.

Speaking to USA Today, Reba shared that Linn, her co-star on Happy’s Place, originally planned to pop the question when they were on safari in Africa in June, but “the opportunity never presented itself.” He brought the ring all the way back home to Tennessee, and on Dec. 24 he got down on one knee while he and Reba were walking near a creek on their ranch outside Nashville.

“I said, ‘What are you doing?’ and he said, ‘Would you marry me? I want to cross the finish line with you,'” Reba said, adding that she hugged Rex’s head but didn’t answer.

“He said, ‘You’re not saying anything!’ And I finally said, ‘Well, yes! YES!'”

Rex told USA Today that Reba only paused for about “21 seconds,” but noted, “Even a five-second pause feels like an hour.”

“I thought, if she doesn’t say ‘yes,’ I’ll just disappear into that creek,” Rex added. “But then she said ‘yes’ three times.”

The two haven’t set a wedding date, since, as Rex explained, Reba only has “13 free days in 2026.” For now, they’re just enjoying their engagement — and inspiring others with their love story.

As Reba told USA Today, “I’m hearing from people I haven’t heard from in years, going, ‘Gosh, you’ve given me hope. Maybe there is someone out there for me.'”

Halsey put an audience member in their place after they heckled her during her Boston concert Monday.

Not long before taking the stage at Boston’s MGM Music Hall, the singer revealed that she had been in the ER all night for a “minor medical emergency.” “I am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight!” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

While she was addressing the crowd onstage that night, someone in the audience told her to “stop talking and play” a specific song.

“You think you’re tough s*** because you’re from Boston? I’m from Jersey, baby. I’ll whoop your a**,” Halsey replied. “My dad’s from Boston, my mom’s from Jersey — that basically makes me a f****** demon.”

“I’m gonna play whatever the f*** I wanna play,” she continued. “In case you didn’t hear me correctly, I almost f****** died to be on this stage. I’m going to play whatever the f*** I wanna play.”

Later on X, she addressed the incident again, writing, “I’ve been polite but won’t be caught dead letting a man tell me what I should play in my set.”

Bob Dylan has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

The distinction recognizes the folk icon’s “lifetime of songwriting that changed the sound and scope of modern music.”

“Thank you, Berklee College of Music, for bestowing on me this prestigious honor. What a pleasant surprise,” Dylan says. “Who knows what path my career might have taken if I’d been fortunate enough to learn from some of the great musicians who taught at Berklee. It’s something to think about.”

“This is an incredible moment for this institution,” adds Berklee President Jim Lucchese. “Bob Dylan’s music has shaped how the world hears itself. He’s an artist who has never stopped evolving, who keeps chasing truth through sound and language. That’s the spirit we try to cultivate here every day. Honoring him feels like a reaffirmation of the creative impulse that built this place.”

Berklee has previously given honorary doctorates to artists including Joni Mitchell, Ringo Starr and Aretha Franklin.

‘Brutally honest’ Kerry King chooses Metallica over Megadeth

Slayer‘s Kerry King is fanning the flames of the long-simmering rivalry between Metallica and Megadeth.

The “Raining Blood” shredder places himself firmly on team ‘Tallica in an interview with his record label, Reigning Phoenix Music.

When asked to pick between James Hetfield and Dave Mustaine, King chooses the “Enter Sandman” singer, adding, “Sorry Dave, I know I played in your band, but I’m going with James.”

King briefly played in Megadeth in 1984. Mustaine, of course, formed Megadeth in 1983 after he was fired from Metallica.

After ranking Hetfield over Mustaine, King was then asked to choose between Metallica and Megadeth as a whole. Once again, he takes the Metallica side.

“I’m gonna be brutally honest,” King says. “Metallica has a singer. Sorry, Dave.”

We’ll hear what Mustaine singing Metallica sounds like on Megadeth’s upcoming farewell album, which includes a cover of Metallica’s “Ride the Lightning.” The self-titled record is due out Jan. 23, 2026.
