Dayseeker may soon be seeking a new member.

The band has announced that they’ve “mutually decided to part ways” with guitarist Gino Sgambelluri.

“This wasn’t an easy decision but there’s truly nothing but love and respect between us,” Dayseeker writes in an Instagram post Thursday. “Gino has been such an important part of Dayseeker’s journey and we can’t thank him enough for his passion, his kindness and the endless hours he spent dedicating his life to the project.”

The post continues, “Please continue to show him nothing but love and support as we all move forward into the next chapters of our lives and careers.”

The news comes just two weeks after Dayseeker released their new album, Creature in the Black Night. The record includes the single “Pale Moonlight,” which has been Dayseeker’s highest-charting hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay tally.

Dec. 25 may be well over a month away, but for Dan + Shay, It’s Officially Christmas

Not only are Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney celebrating the one-year anniversary of their double album with that title, they’re also teasing a new holiday tune.

“Today is the 5 year anniversary of Take Me Home For Christmas!” the duo says in one of their yuletide posts. “It was the first original Christmas song we ever wrote and recorded, and paved the way for what turned into a double album.”

“Thank y’all for loving this song as much as we do,” they continue, “and making it part of your holiday traditions year after year. We just might have to release another original Christmas song to celebrate, whatya say?”

The two revealed in early October they “stumbled upon a Christmas song that we’re super excited about” while working on their next album. That’s in addition to their unexpected cover of Taylor Swift‘s “Back to December,” by the way.

If that’s not enough yuletide cheer from Dan + Shay, you can also check out the video of Dan luring Shay over to his house to help him set up an enormous pre-lit tree, soundtracked, of course, by “Officially Christmas.”

The Velvet Underground‘s John Cale is collaborating on a new song with pop star Charli XCX.

The track is called “House” and was recorded for Charli’s soundtrack to the upcoming film adaptation of the classic Emily Brontë novel Wuthering Heights

In a lengthy Instagram Story message, Charli explains how she got involved in the project and how a quote from Cale — “elegant and brutal” — inspired the album’s sound.

She writes that the phrase stuck with her, and she reached out to Cale to get his opinions on the songs and see if he wanted to collaborate.

“I sent him some songs and we started talking specifically about House,” Charli writes. “We spoke about the idea of a poem. He recorded something and sent it to me. Something that only John could do. And it was… well it made me cry.”

She continues, “I feel so lucky to have been able to work with John on this song. I’ve been so excited to share it with you all, sitting quietly in anticipation.”

“House” will premiere on Nov. 10.

Wuthering Heights, directed by Emerald Fennell and starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, hits theaters Feb. 13, 2026.

Morgan Evans took a low-key approach to making the music video for his new song, “Beer Back Home.”

The main ingredients were director Peter John and an October road trip to his favorite pub, The Ship Inn, in Morgan’s hometown of Newcastle, Australia, where he played a pop-up show.

“My mate Pete picked me up from the airport in Sydney with his old handy cam,” he said on his socials. “We rode up the M1 to my hometown, hit all the spots, played a really special show and had a few cheeky beers back home! We made a video out of it and it’s OUT TODAY!”

The “Kiss Somebody” hitmaker will play another pop-up at Old Mates Pub in New York City on Dec. 3. His sophomore album, Steel Town, arrives March 20, 2026.

Snoop Dogg has postponed the partying from December to February, when the Olympics will take place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Deadline reports his Snoop Dogg’s New Year’s Eve special, which had been scheduled to air Dec. 31 on NBC, has been canceled as he shifts his focus to preparing for the Olympic Games.

“Sometimes the calendar gets in the way of the celebration, which is why my NBC family and I decided this winter was time for us all to focus on the Olympics,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement to Deadline. “But don’t worry, we’ll party together bigger and better later in 2026. Ya dig.”

Snoop will reprise his role as correspondent for the Olympics, after previously taking on that duty at the Paris Summer Olympics in 2024. The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held from Feb. 6 to Feb. 22.

It’s not clear what programming will replace Snoop Dogg’s New Year’s Eve.

Wolfgang Van Halen didn’t miss any education on Metallica‘s M72 tour.

Wolf’s band, Mammoth, opened for the “Enter Sandman” legends at every venue on the 2023 and 2024 legs of their worldwide trek. In honor of their dedication, Metallica presented Wolf, the son of Eddie Van Halen, with a special distinction.

“We were the one band to play every single building with them,” Wolf tells Metal Hammer. “And they gave us this plaque that said, ‘Perfect Attendance Award.’ It was very sweet.”

Wolf adds that opening the M72 tour was “unlike anything I’ve ever been a part of,” especially because the stage was built in the round.

“There’s nowhere to hide,” Wolf says of the stage setup. “As a singer, when you’re kind of planted, it’s tough to give the show to the whole crowd.”

It certainly sounds like Wolf’s homework was never quite like that.

Wolf is currently on tour in support of Mammoth’s latest album, The End, which was released in October.
