Rock band Nickelback collaborates with Shenandoah on a new version of their 1989 classic, “The Church on Cumberland Road.”
“We’ve always had a deep respect for the artists who came before us, and Shenandoah is one of those bands that helped define an era,” says Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. “Getting the chance to collaborate with them on ‘The Church on Cumberland Road’ was an absolute blast. It’s a song that feels as vibrant today as it did when it first came out.”
The updated recording is accompanied by an animated video, which is now streaming on YouTube.
In addition to collaborating with Shenandoah, Nickelback has crossed over into the country world in recent years by touring with Brantley Gilbert, performing with HARDY and playing the Stagecoach festival.

“Performing on Broadway has always been a dream of mine,” Adams said in a statement, according to Playbill.com. “Growing up a musician, Miss Liza Jane reminds me of a wonderful mentor that blessed my life immensely.”
“Alicia Keys has crafted an amazing story that exemplifies how we are all connected in one way or another. This show feels like home!” she continues, noting people all around the world are able to connect with the musical’s central themes of “joy, pain, beauty and tough love.”
Keys adds she’s excited for Adams to join the Hell’s Kitchen family and teases she’ll “bring great power, light and emotion to the role of Miss Liza Jane.”
“Her authenticity and heart perfectly embody the soul of this story,” Keys says, “and we are excited for audiences to witness her artistry.”

The band has earned their second #1 hit on the ranking with “So Far So Fake,” the current single off their latest album, 2023’s The Jaws of Life. They previously conquered Alternative Airplay with the Jaws of Life single “Emergency Contact.”
Despite being two years old, “So Far So Fake” became a delayed chart success after going viral on TikTok.
Pierce the Veil also put out a deluxe version of The Jaws of Life in May, featuring a cover of Radiohead‘s “Karma Police.”
Nominations for the 68th annual Grammy Awards were announced Friday, and several K-pop artists, as well as one global girl group, scored big nods in top categories.
What makes it even more special is that they’re all women.
Following its chart-topping film and music success earlier this year, KPop Demon Hunters earned nominations for its hit song “Golden” in the song of the year and best pop duo/group performance categories.
The song is performed by artists EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the singing voices behind the film’s fictional K-pop group, HUNTR/X.
BLACKPINK singer ROSÉ also earned nods for song of the year and record of the year alongside Bruno Mars for their hit song “APT.” The duo are also nominated for best pop duo/group performance.
Additionally, the LA-based global girl group KATSEYE, whose music and dance moves are influenced by K-pop superstars, earned nominations for best new artist and best pop duo/group performance.
Several KATSEYE members took to Instagram to share their reaction to the group’s Grammy nominations.
“TWO NOMS???????” Daniela Avanzini wrote in an Instagram Story.
Manon Bannerman added on her Instagram Story, “WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE’RE NOMINATED FOR 2 GRAMMYS I CAN’T STOP CRYING.”
Any of the women nominated could potentially make Grammys history if they take home a coveted Golden Gramophone Award in February, as no K-pop artist has ever won a Grammy before.
Until this year, BTS was the only K-pop group to have earned a Grammy nomination.
The 68th Grammy Awards will take place Feb. 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

There’s a new Riley Green track out now, thanks to Apple Music’s new Lost & Found series.
Apple Music unearths an uncut gem from a Nashville songwriter, then matches it with an artist who brings it to life.
In this case, the song is “Ol’ Stray Dog,” which was written by Jon Randall and Erik Dylan in January 2019.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Erik,” Riley says. “He knows my style of music, and ‘Ol’ Stray Dog’ was certainly one of those that was right up my alley. Lost & Found has given us another motivation to go find songs.”
As you might imagine, Riley’s version is a hit with both songwriters.
“Riley’s the guy on this,” Erik says. “He’s for sure the guy, he sounds like he wrote it, he sounds like he’s lived it.”
Jon agrees: “I absolutely love that Riley liked this song enough to try it on. I may be partial because I’m a fan, but I think it fits him like a glove. I sure am thankful that it landed in his world. I guess sometimes an old stray dog can find a home.”
You can check out both the demo and Riley’s version of “Ol’ Stray Dog” via Apple Music.

Queen has released the second episode in their ongoing five-part video series, Queen The Greatest Special, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of their 1975 album A Night at the Opera and its single “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
In the latest installment, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor describe how the first three Queen albums, 1973’s self-titled debut, and 1974’s Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack, set the stage for the experimentation on A Night at the Opera and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
“We go complex again [on A Night at the Opera],” May says. “You know, let’s pursue our dreams a bit further. We’ve done Sheer Heart Attack, it’s done quite well. But really, our heart is in chiseling out these unusual places.”
Queen The Greatest Special is now streaming on YouTube.
A 50th anniversary vinyl reissue of A Night at the Opera was released in October.

The U.K. certainly screamed for Florence + the Machine‘s new album.
Everybody Scream, the sixth studio effort from the “Dogs Days Are Over” outfit, has debuted at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart.
Florence has now notched five #1 albums across the pond, including their 2009 debut Lungs, 2011’s Ceremonials, 2015’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful and 2022’s Dance Fever. The group’s only record to not achieve that feat is 2018’s High As Hope, which peaked at #2.
“16 years on from Lungs, I take none of this for granted,” frontwoman Florence Welch tells Official Charts. “I’m so grateful to everyone who took time with this record. It is a scream, but I also wanted it to be a balm to anyone who needed it. Sending love.”
Florence + the Machine will launch a U.S. tour in support of Everybody Scream in April 2026.
