Less than a month after shocking fans with their split, Jason Derulo and his ex-girlfriend Jena Frumes, who are the parents to infant son Jason King, were seen out and about together.
As E! reports, the “Savage Love” singer and Jena, a model and influencer, were seen having lunch together in West Hollywood this past Sunday. In fact, Jena was even seen helping herself to food off of Jason’s plate.
Back on September 23, Jason tweeted that he and Jena “feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be.” That tweet’s since been deleted.
The couple, who welcomed their baby in May, had been together since the start of the pandemic, and Jena has featured heavily in Jason’s TikToks and YouTube videos.
When Foo Fightersperformed on the MTV Video Music Awards last month, the cameras caught Olivia Rodrigo singing along to “Everlong.” Speaking with Rolling Stone, Grohl shares his reaction to learning the breakout star of 2021 is a Foos fan.
“My daughter told me,” Grohl says. “She was like, ‘Oh, my God. Olivia Rodrigo was singing your song!'”
He adds, “It’s very cool and it’s very flattering, for sure.”
With songs like “Brutal” and “Good 4 U,” Rodrigo is one of a few younger artists bringing guitars and pop-punk elements back into popular music. In fact, Grohl thinks that “the dial is starting to turn back to guitar-based music,” and points to viral drumming sensation Nandi Bushell as evidence that rock is still very much alive.
“If you want to see the true meaning of rock & roll, watch Nandi play the drums,” Grohl says. “That is as inspiring as any Beatles record, any Zeppelin record, any AC/DC record, any Stones record.”
Grohl and Bushell, of course, competed in an online drum battle last year. They finally got to jam in person at a Foo Fighters show over the summer.
“To watch [Bushell] play the drums and see her passion and belief in this music…if that doesn’t inspire you, I don’t know what will,” Grohl says.
Track-and-field star Usain Bolt has accomplished quite a bit in his 35 years. In addition to winning eight Olympic gold medals and holding world records in 100 meters, the 200 meters and the 4 × 100-meter relay, the Jamaican-born Bolt recently dropped an album, Country Yutes, which landed in the top 10 of Billboard’s reggae album charts.
Bolt, who’s partnered with the SprintRay Foundation to help offer critical dental care to those in Jamaica, says his interest in music has always been very “serious.”
“I’ve loved music all my life,” Bolt tells ABC Audio. “If you followed my career, you know that I was dancing [and] always having a good time…So now that I’ve put in the work, I think people have really seen that the quality of music that I put out with the album Country Yutes is good.”
In fact, Bolt says that the success of his album has even led to “people… reaching out” about potential collaborations. Yet even with the great feedback, the “fastest man in the world” says he already has a specific vision of what he wants to do.
“I definitely want to be like a DJ Khaled,” Bolt says, also noting that producer Swizz Beatz has served as a “massive” inspiration. “I enjoy seeing [Khaled] work and I follow him and I see the energy that he has — the passion that he works with and puts into his music.”
Although Bolt says he’s already met with Khaled in person, he hopes he can eventually “sit down with him and pick his brain, and [figure out what] it takes to get to the level…That’s something that I look forward to.”

Zendaya will be adding another prestigious honor to her trophy case next month when the 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards name her this year’s fashion icon.
The council announced on Tuesday that the Dune star’s multiple iconic red carpet looks, as well as her entrepreneurship within the industry, inspired them to recognize her with the 2021 Fashion Icon award.
While highlighting some of their favorite outfits the Emmy winner rocked on the red carpet in a photo collage, the council also took note of her stylist, Law Roach, and saluted his efforts.
Zendaya’s new award places her in good company, as she now joins fellow recipients Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Pharrell, Jennifer Lopez and Naomi Campbell.
The CFDA announced another award recipient on Tuesday, honoring Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy with their newest honor, Face of the Year.
The 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards will be held November 10 at New York City’s Seagram Building.
Adele and her boyfriend Rich Paul stepped out for another courtside date night Tuesday night.
The 33-year-old singer and the 39-year-old sports agent took in a Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Golden State Warriors game at the Staples Center in L.A. Adele looked chic in a brown leather ensemble with a Louis Vuitton coat, while Rich wore an olive suede jacket with a black turtleneck.
The two made their first public appearance together back in July at game 5 of the NBA Finals. Adele recently opened up about the relationship to Vogue, saying that Rich is the first man she’s dated since her divorce who has been accepting of her fame.
“Rich just incredibly arrived,” she said. “I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild. I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.”
Dionne Warwick is back at it again on Twitter and this time, she has a question for Saweetie.
The legendary sainger, who previously made headlines for wondering how The Weeknd and Chance the Rapper got their stage names, is now pondering how the “Back to the Streets” rapper got hers.
“Why is that young lady’s name spelled ‘Saweetie’ and not ‘Sweetie’?” Warwick wrote on Tuesday, adding a follow-up tweet, “This new generation is so creative and fun. ‘Saweetie’ is fun to say!”
The 80-year-old “I Say a Little Prayer” singer was met with a slew of responses, with some asking her to answer the same question given that her full name is Marie Dionne Warrick.
Eventually, though, fans provided the answer she wanted, with one user sharing a screenshot of a quote from an interview Saweetie did with Tidal that explained she got the nickname from her grandmother, but decided to spell it differently.
“Everybody had their nicknames on MySpace so I was like ‘OK, I like Sweetie, but I don’t like the word ‘sweetie,’ so I’m going to spell it this way,” she shared.
After getting the answer, Warwick thanked her followers for the help by tweeting, “Thank you all for answering my question about @Saweetie. I do like the name. I was just curious about the spelling.”
Mariah Carey has entered the world of cryptocurrency, with a little help from Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and hopes her fans follow in her footsteps.
The “Fantasy” singer has partnered with Gemini, a cryptocurrency platform founded by the Winklevoss twins in an effort to educate women about the new method of investing. You may remember the Winklevoss twins from the movie The Social Network about the founding of Facebook — they sued Mark Zuckerberg for allegedly stealing ideas from them to create his social media behemoth.
Mariah announced the new venture on Tuesday, adding that it has helped her learn the ropes of cryptocurrency and encouraged her fans to sign up and use her special code to get started with $20 in free bitcoin.
She also noted that a portion of all trading fees attached to accounts that used Mariah’s code at sign up will be donated to the nonprofit Black Girls Code, which specializes in educating women of color in technology and computer programming by teaching them important skills used in STEM fields.
This week, newcomer Elvie Shane reaches the pinnacle of the country chart with his debut single, “My Boy.”
While the moving take on step-fatherhood is several years old, Elvie and his co-writers knew from the very beginning it was special.
“From the day we wrote that song, we’ve called it a God song, and we felt like it was a gift,” Elvie tells ABC Audio. “And I like to say it was like four years before I wrote another song that anybody was interested in doing anything with. So there’s the proof in the pudding, right?”
Now that Caleb, the inspiration behind “My Boy,” is a teenager, Elvie says his stepson is just beginning to realize the significance of the song.
“He was only nine, ten when I wrote the song, so not much response out of him at that age, not really having a grasp on the emotion or what the song really meant,” Elvie reveals. “But I have seen that song grow with my son, and I’ve seen our love grow during the life of this song.”
He continues, “And I think, you know, at this point, he’s really realizing what a blessing this song has been and how much it’s done for our family and how much it’s, you know, doing for our family at this point in our lives.”
Elvie’s family continues to grow, as he and his wife, Mandi, welcomed a baby girl they named Zaelyn Journey in July. His full-length debut, titled Backslider, arrives October 29.
