Lionel Richie was not ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ during the opening night of his tour in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday: He was sitting on the stage.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer cut his set short on the Sing a Song All Night Long Tour with Earth, Wind & Fire after telling the audience he was feeling “dizzy” and “strange,” reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune. While he began singing “Dancing on the Ceiling” standing up, he then stopped and perched on a step on the stage to complete the song. He told fans, “When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your a** down.”

But about 55 minutes into his performance, after sitting behind the piano to sing “Three Times a Lady,” he announced an intermission and left the stage. Forty minutes later, one of Lionel’s bandmembers appeared onstage and said, “Unfortunately, Lionel is not feeling well. He won’t be able to continue. Additional information will be available.”

After the announcement, John Paris, drummer for Earth, Wind & Fire, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that Lionel was “a little dehydrated,” but there weren’t any indications prior to the show the he was feeling ill.

ABC News has reached out to Lionel’s rep.

K Camp is hitting a few cities across the United States on his Us Over Dem tour. He’s teaming up with Jacquees for the seven-show run, which kicks off Aug. 14 in Phoenix and wraps Sept. 4 in Atlanta, with stops in Dallas, New Orleans, Houston, Birmingham and Memphis.

The announcement arrives following the release of Giant, his project with fellow Atlanta native Zaytoven, a collaboration he says came together organically. After returning from tour last year, his mother asked why he and Zay hadn’t released a joint project despite years of knowing and working with each other.

“I thought about it [and] I was down, that would be a vibe for the city,” he says. “So I reached out to Zay and Zay was 1,000% with it. As soon as I said it to him, he was like s***, what we doing? So when I realized Zay was deada**, I was like, OK, I can’t just text a n**** and say let’s do something and [then] don’t do it.”

Together, they created a 10-track project that sits right in his wheelhouse.

“I love short projects, especially if … it’s themed out and it makes sense and they all flow. I think that’s the perfect, perfect little batch for an album,” K Camp says.

With the tour on the way, he plans to bring the album to life onstage, while mixing it with some older tracks.

“I do, like, 60 to 120 minutes onstage. I got a lot of songs, and all of them jam when I’m on tour. They rock out,” he says. “It’s like a little science to it.

Tickets are available on the Live Nation website.

Riley Green marks a career highlight on Thursday, as he hosts ABC’s annual CMA Fest special alongside Good Morning America‘s Lara Spencer.

“Performing at the CMA Fest is such a big deal, and obviously getting to play at Nissan [Stadium] and, you know, [it’s] something you grow up dreaming about doing,” he said backstage earlier this month. “I don’t think I ever grew up dreaming about hosting.”

“I hope I didn’t bite off more than I can chew,” he adds, “but [I’m] excited about being able to have a part in the festival and being able to interview some of the other artists I’m friends with and fans of, and it’ll be a good time.”

Of course, the “Change My Mind” hitmaker also played his own set at the festival, and he can instantly tell how it’s affecting the crowd.

“Well, there should be a lot of beers up in the air and, you know, maybe some tears,” he reveals. “I think that’s always a [way to] judge for me is if I can have people holding their beer up and crying in the same show, it’s a good set.”

The long list of talent in the three-hour special include Bailey Zimmerman, Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Deana Carter, Ella Langley, Fetty Wap, Florida Georgia Line, Gretchen Wilson, HARDY, Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Jordan Davis, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Michael McDonald, Molly Tuttle, The Red Clay Strays, Ricky Skaggs, Russell Dickerson, Shaboozey, Shay Morgan, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tim McGraw, Tucker Wetmore and Zach Top.

Tune in to see Riley’s hosting debut starting at 8 p.m. ET Thursday on ABC, before CMA Fest premieres on Hulu Friday.

The Beatles are getting not one but four biopics, thanks to Sam Mendes’ project The Beatles – A Four Film Cinematic Event, and it sounds like Mick Jagger is open to having a similar thing happen for The Rolling Stones.

In a new interview with British GQ, Jagger was asked about whether he’d like to see that “kind of treatment” for The Stones, to which he replied, “Yeah, it interests me.”

“I don’t want to impart it to you, but, I know how I see it,” he says of a possible film. “There’s lots of ways of doing biopics.”

Referring to the Bob Dylan film A Complete Unknown, Jagger explains, “So most of the time when you do a biopic, you do one small section of someone’s life bookended by some other stuff. Take the Bob Dylan movie. You do the moment when Bob went electric.”

“You’d have to think, what are you going to zero in on?” he continues. “And where’s your two years of interest? I mean that Bob Dylan one was two years, [the] James Brown one that I produced was slightly more.” The latter is a reference to 2014’s Get On Up, which starred the late Chadwick Boseman.

So, which portion of The Stones’ career would he like a movie to focus on?

“I don’t know which section, because it’s a long period,” Jagger says.

As for whether he has an idea for someone who could play him in a film, Jagger says, “No.”

As fans wait for a future Rolling Stones film, they can simply enjoy The Stones’ music. They’ll release the new album Foreign Tongues on July 10.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise has dropped a remix of the band’s song “It’s Called: Freefall” by the DJ and producer GRiZ.

The origins of the remix date back to 2023, when GRiZ first debuted it at Bonnaroo after RKS had to pull out of performing at the festival. Three years later, RKS frontwoman Ela Melo made a surprise appearance during GRiZ’s 2026 Bonnaroo set to perform the track together.

Now, the remix has been officially released on digital outlets.

The original “It’s Called: Freefall” was released in 2018 and is one of the signature Rainbow Kitten Surprise songs. It’s been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise put out a new single, “Never Have I Ever,” in May. The band’s most recent album is 2025’s bones.

Motörhead and Scorpions drummer Mikkey Dee has joined actor William Shatner’s upcoming heavy metal album.

Dee will play on a cover of the Judas Priest song “Living After Midnight” alongside the 95-year-old Star Trek icon for the record.

“I needed pounding beats to make the music feel the way I feel it,” Shatner says in a statement. “The drums drive the emotion. They create the urgency, the excitement, the danger. Heavy metal should hit you in the chest and move your soul at the same time.”

As previously reported, the album will also include Shatner performing the Priest track “You’ve got Another Thing Comin'” with Rob Halford, as well as covers of songs by metal legends including Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. The record’s title and full track and guest list have yet to be revealed.

According to a press release, Shatner is now considering bringing the album to the live stage for an event described as “part concert, part theatrical experience, and part celebration of heavy metal’s enduring power and legacy.”

“The proposed production would transform Shatner’s star-studded recording project into an immersive live spectacle combining legendary musicians, cinematic visuals, storytelling, and the larger-than-life charisma that has made Shatner a global icon for more than six decades,” the press release reads.

Even if your dad was in one of the bestselling groups of all time, if you weren’t around to see them in their heyday, you might not fully realize how famous he is. But when an artist you love thinks your dad’s a big deal, that’s pretty convincing proof. At least, that’s what Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson discovered a few years ago.

Speaking to Billboard, Kevin said that during the group’s DNA tour, he and his kids were eating at a Toronto restaurant when superstar rapper Drake, a Toronto native, happened to drop in. “The maitre’d is like, ‘Uh, excuse me, Drake is here and he would love, when you’re finished, he would love to be able to come over and say hi,'” Kevin recalled, noting that his kids immediately started freaking out.

When they eventually went over and met Drake, Kevin said the rapper shared a story about how he had his first kiss to a Backstreet song. Then, according to Kevin, Drake asked, “What are you guys doing in town?”

“I’m like, ‘We’re playing three shows.’ He’s like, ‘Could I come through?'” Kevin continued.

“He came through, got up on stage and performed with us,” Kevin laughed. “So that is really when it clicked for my kids.”

Billy Idol and longtime collaborator Steve Stevens have been inducted into Guitar Center’s Hollywood Rockwalk.

The pair took part in a handprint ceremony outside Guitar Center’s flagship location on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Tuesday night.

“I’ve had a fantastic time with Steve, he’s made a lot of my crazy ideas come true,” Idol said during the ceremony. “You can never really ask for anything more than that. It really is special and incredible, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. It’s great to be honored together by Guitar Center on the Rockwalk.”

“It’s humbling to now be amongst this incredible group of musicians on Guitar Center’s Rockwalk,” Stevens added. “More than anything, this is a testament to over 45 years of great laughs, great songs that now belong to the world, and a great friendship.”

Idol and Stevens now join the more than 150 artists and innovators represented on the Rockwalk, which began in 1985. Others who’ve been honored on the Rockwalk include Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and The Ramones.

The honor comes ahead of Idol and Stevens’ induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November.

Next up, Idol will launch the next leg of his It’s A Nice Day To … Tour Again! tour on Aug. 7 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He will also headline the weeklong Hot in the City Las Vegas residency at the Fontainebleau from Aug. 28 to Sept. 5. A complete list of dates can be found at BillyIdol.net.
