Joe Jonas and his famous brothers are getting ready for their upcoming Las Vegas residency and, while the trio has been quiet about certain details, Joe promised one thing — it’s going to be fun.

Speaking on the Spout podcast, the DNCE frontman marveled, “The tickets sold really quick!”

Does that mean the Jonas Brothers are going to pull all the stops because expectations are high?

“I think if you’re a fan — I mean, you’re going to Vegas — it’s a good time.  And I’ll have DNCE pop up onstage there,” Joe said.  “I wanna figure out some interesting concepts that we can do live.  The game has changed of what live shows are like.”

He also teased that his band’s “Dancing Feet” collaborator Kygo might also swing by, saying the DJ’s “got a bunch of really exciting gigs, so if you’re a fan of him, or us and you’re music lover… and if you like EDM and you want to go to a festival, then you may or may not see us onstage with him.”

The JoBros will be taking over Park MGM for a five-night residency from June 3 through June 11. Tickets are available to purchase on Ticketmaster.

Residency aside, Joe also revealed that he starts his day by “sitting in silence” and “[checking] in with myself before I’m checking on social media or I’m texting people.”

The “Cake by the Ocean” singer elaborated, “It’s so easy to look at your phone first thing in the morning and be like, ‘Oh, I have to do this work thing’ or ‘I missed this call’ or like, something’s going on in the world.”

His advice to fans?  “Just check in with yourself before you check in with anything else.”

Lorde paid tribute to hometown heroes The Strokes during her show at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall Tuesday night.

Footage from the concert posted to Twitter shows the “Royals” artist delivering a rendition of “The End Has No End,” a track off Julian Casablancas and company’s 2003 sophomore effort, Room on Fire.

Last night’s performance was the second of Lorde’s two dates at Radio City, the first of which marked her first show back after postponing two shows due to a case of laryngitis.

Lorde is currently touring the U.S. in support of her latest album, Solar Power, which dropped last August. The outing continues Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Sam Smith has been teasing their comeback for a while and, on Wednesday, shared the news fans have been waiting for — new music is finally on the way.

Using the same black-and-white motif Sam used since they first began teasing their return, the six-time Grammy winner announced the title and release date of their next single, titled “Love Me More.”  The song drops on April 28 at 11 p.m. British time.

You can pre-save the song now and also join Sam’s official mailing list to stay in the loop.

The “Stay With Me” singer also took to TikTok on Tuesday to share a preview of a new song, which fans now believe is “Love Me More.”  Dubbing the background music as “Unreleased Snippet – Sam Smith,” Sam strung together several clips of them walking around their house and greeting, “Hi, everyone!”

Fans also caught a glimpse of Sam’s dog, Velma, who stares quizzically into the camera.  The video then ends with Sam showing off a rather unique sculpture they’ve acquired, which is of a naked, cartoonish man bending over and exposing himself.

Fans made sure to let Sam know in the comments they weren’t prepared for the last second of the short clip.

Prior to that, Sam shared a safe for work video, again filmed in black and white, of Sam singing a few notes into a microphone.

“Love Me More” marks Sam’s first original single since 2020, their last being “The Lighthouse Keeper,” which dropped November 20 as part of their The Holly & the Ivy EP.

Ibaraki and Friends will be released in August. You can pre-order it now via Z2Comics.com.

Earlier this year, Heafy launched a black metal side project called Ibaraki project. The debut Ibaraki album Rashomon, which features a collaboration with My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way, will be released May 6.

Heafy and Trivium are currently on the Metal Tour of the Year alongside Megadeth, Lamb of God and In Flames. During Tuesday night’s show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Heafy sang with Lamb of God for a few songs in place of the band’s frontman Randy Blythe, who tested positive for COVID-19.

Shawn Mendes decided to get real with fans on Twitter Tuesday night and let them know that, while he’s “okay,” he’s also “overwhelmed and overstimulated.”

In a lengthy Twitter post, the singer says he wants to “tell the truth,” but admits he’s afraid that “if people know and see the truth, they might think less of me…so in those moments of feeling low, I either put on a show or hide.”

However, he reveals, “The truth, in current form, is a 23-year-old who constantly feels like he’s either flying or drowning. Maybe that’s just what it is to be in your 20s’ idk, or maybe that’s just me.”

Shawn notes that sometimes he doesn’t “really care what people think and I feel free,” while “most of the time, it’s a struggle…that’s the truth.”

He adds, “The truth is even with so much success, I still find it hard to feel like I’m not failing, hyper-focused on what I don’t have, forgetting to see all that I do.”

“The truth is I’m overwhelmed and overstimulated LOL,” he continues. “The truth is ALSO that I’m okay.” He notes, “I[‘d] like to think that maybe me saying this might resonate with some people.”

After posting the note, Shawn tweeted, “im honestly so okay! i just wanna communicate with you guys in a real honest way.” He continued, “i guess im like damn if i’m feeling this with all of the blessings i have i imagine there must be so many people feeling this and just don’t want them to feel alone!!”

Many fans agreed that his message resonated with them. When one fan noted that the message “felt like a hug” from Shawn, he replied, “im really glad, this is definitely a hug from me.”

Garth Brooks is doubling up on Cincinnati fun to kick off his 2022 Stadium Tour shows.

After previously announcing a show at the city’s Paul Brown Stadium on May 14, Garth is adding a new opening night at the same venue a day earlier, on Friday, May 13. That means there will be a total of two shows in Cincinnati. They will be the only Stadium Tour dates to take place in Ohio, Kentucky or West Virginia this year.

It’s the first time Garth’s playing the venue, though he’d planned to play it as part of a 2020 run that wound up being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the shutdowns, the singer set a ticket sales record at Paul Brown Stadium, selling out the venue in just over an hour as more than 70,000 fans snapped up their tickets.

Ticket sales for the new show begin April 29 at 10 a.m. ET.

Last month, Christine McVie revealed in a BBC Radio interview that she had plans to release a new solo album called Songbird that will include a reworked version of her popular Fleetwood Mac ballad of the same name.  Now full details of the project have been announced.

The album, Songbird (A Solo Collection), is due out June 24, and is a 10-track compilation made up mostly of previously released tunes songs from two of McVie’s solo albums — her 1984 self-titled effort and 2004’s In the Meantime. All of the tracks have been remastered by famed producer Glyn Johns.

The record also boasts three previously unreleased recordings, including an updated, orchestral version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Songbird” that pairs Christine’s original vocals with a new string arrangement created by Grammy-winning composer and arranger Vince Mendoza.

The other two previously unreleased tracks are “Slowdown,” a song Christine wrote for the 1985 film American Flyers, and “All You Gotta Do,” a duet that McVie recorded with singer/bassist George Hawkins during the In the Meantime sessions. The latter tune wasn’t completed at the time, and Glyn finished the track by adding Ricky Peterson on Hammond organ and Ethan Johns on drums and guitar.

“Slowdown” has been released as an advance digital single.

Songbird includes two interesting songs from the 1984 Christine McVie album. “The Challenge” features backing vocals from Lindsey Buckingham and lead guitar by Eric Clapton. The other song, “Ask Anybody,” was co-written by Christine and Steve Winwood, who contributed backing vocals and piano to the tune.

Songbird can be pre-ordered now, and will issued on CD, on vinyl and digitally. A limited-edition sea-foam green vinyl LP will be available exclusively from Rhino.com.

Here’s the full Songbird (A Solo Collection) track list:

Shawn Mendes has won 11 Juno Awards — the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys — in his career, but he’ll be receiving a unique one this year: the Juno International Achievement Award.

The honor recognizes Canadian stars who’ve “attained exemplary success on the world stage” and “raised the profile of Canadian music around the world.”  Shawn is one of the youngest recipients of the award, which has also been presented to Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, Drake, Sarah McLachlan, Celine Dion and the band Arcade Fire.  In fact, in the 51-year history of the Junos, only eight people have won this award.

“Accepting this award will be a surreal moment,” Shawn says in a statement. “To be recognized for my work not only in Canada, but around the world, is a tremendous honor and I am humbled to join an outstanding group of artists who have helped put Canadian music on the map.”

Shawn, who also is up for four regular Junos this year, and will make a special appearance at the ceremony on May 15 to accept the International Achievement Award in person. You can watch at CBCMusic.ca/junos and CBC Music’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages.
