Just days after releasing the song “FDO,” Pooh Shiesty has revealed he has an album coming soon. During an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, he said it won’t be long before he drops a full-length album.

“[It’s] coming real soon like a movie,” Pooh said. When asked whether it will arrive ahead of the summer, he responded, “S*** is on the way, on the way.”

“FDO” dropped on Friday and finds Pooh reflecting on his luxury experience during his first day out of prison, among other things. He recently talked about the track in an interview with XXL.

“‘FDO,’ I had to come with this particular song because it’s like the message,” he shared. “It fit around the ‘I’m back’ typa vibe.”

“The thought process on it, I really was getting it together as I was in there doing my time. But I couldn’t finish it because I’m getting new experiences and I’m going through new things,” Pooh continued. “So, like I wrapped it up first day in the studio, with everything, the whole coming home experience.”

Pooh served a 63-month sentence after pleading guilty to a single federal firearms conspiracy charge related to a 2020 robbery and shooting in Miami, Florida. He was released on Oct. 6 and has revealed some of the hobbies he picked up while behind bars, including exercising and reading.

He notes he had not been “too much of a fan of picking up books. But I’ll read all day long [now]. I got my reading game up in there.”

Billy Idol has a chance to nab an Oscar nomination.

The rocker’s song “Dying to Live,” from his documentary Billy Idol Should Be Dead, has earned a spot on the Oscars short list for best original song.

The tune, written by Idol, J. Ralph, Steve Stevens, Tommy English and Joe Janiak, is one of 15 tracks to make the short list, with the category to be narrowed down to five songs.

Another track making the short list is the Diane Warren song “Dear Me,” from her documentary Diane Warren: Restless. Warren has been nominated 16 times before, but has never won, although she did receive an honorary Oscar in 2022.

Nominations for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced Jan. 22.

Billy Idol Should Be Dead had its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival in June. The film, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, is expected to be released in theaters and on streaming services in early 2026.

Snoop Dogg is set to headline Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday.

Following Beyoncé‘s halftime performance in 2024, Snoop will bring his hits center stage on Dec. 25. Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party will take place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis during the matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions. The performance will also feature some surprise guests.

“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy,” Snoop said in a statement. “That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”

Snoop also shared the announcement in a video released by Netflix that takes fans through a home decked out with Christmas decorations, including Lions and Vikings stockings and helmets.

“‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the crib, the stockings hung proper, the vibe feeling big,” George Clinton says in the clip, as Snoop starts a record and “Drop It Like It’s Hot” begins playing.

“As the snow kept on falling, the beat started calling. From Minneapolis to L.A. where the champs come to play,” Clinton continues as the camera pans to Snoop sitting in an armchair. Snoop then adds, “We’re about to light up this Christmas in a real way.”

NFL Christmas Gameday returns to Netflix with pregame coverage beginning at 11 a.m. ET. The Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET, followed by Lions vs. Vikings at 3:30 p.m. CT. Each team will wear uniforms featuring the NFL shield backed by two candy canes.

Ed SheeranMiley Cyrus and Sara Bareilles are all one step closer to an Oscar.

Songs written by Ed, Miley and Sara have made the short list for the best original song category at next year’s Academy Awards. For Ed, it’s “Drive,” which he co-wrote with John Mayer and writer/producer Blake Slatkin and recorded for the Brad Pitt movie F1.

For Miley, it’s “Dream As One,” which she co-wrote with Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and Simon Franglen and recorded for Avatar: Fire and Ash.

For Sara, it’s “Salt Then Sour Then Sweet,” which she co-wrote and recorded with Brandi Carlile for the documentary Come See Me in the Good Light, which has made the short list for best documentary feature film.

It’s worth nothing that the Oscar for best original song goes to the people who wrote it, not the people who recorded it. The two new songs from Wicked: For Good — “The Girl In the Bubble” and “No Place Like Home” — were performed by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, respectively. But if either song wins, the trophy will go home with the person who wrote both songs, Stephen Schwartz.

Similarly, “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters is nominated, but only EJAE, one of the people who sang it, would win an Oscar; she co-wrote the song with four other people. The other two members of HUNTR/X, Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna, didn’t have a hand in co-writing it.

All in all, 15 songs have advanced to the short list category. The list will be whittled down to five, and the Oscar nominations will be announced Jan. 22.  The 98th Academy Awards will take place March 15 and air live on ABC.

Nine Inch Nails‘ Tron: Ares soundtrack has made the short list to be nominated for best original score at the 2026 Oscars.

The album’s single “As Alive As You Need Me to Be” is also on the short list for the best original song award.

NIN members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have previously won two Oscars for their scores of The Social Network and Soul. However, a Tron: Ares nomination would mark the first Oscars nod for Nine Inch Nails.

The 2026 short lists also include Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood‘s score for One Battle After Another.

The final nominations will be announced Jan. 22. The 2026 Oscars will air March 15 on ABC.

“What a rowdy Christmas show!” was Jon Pardi‘s comment after he kicked off his yuletide tour Friday in St. Augustine, Florida.

Of course, that’s at least partially Jon’s fault, considering he’s bringing pyro to the Christmas party. The trek continued Saturday with another St. Augustine show, complete with a 13-piece band with twin fiddles and a horn section.

The set list for The Christmas Show tour includes classics like “Please Come Home for Christmas” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” as well as tracks like “Beer for Santa,” “Merry Christmas from the Keys” and “400 Horsepower Sleigh” from 2023’s Merry Christmas from Jon Pardi.

Jon’s also been playing Santa while in the Sunshine State, donating $40,000 to local charities St. Augustine Youth Services, St. Augustine Art Association, Little Smiles in Palm Beach Gardens and A Kids Place of Tampa Bay.

Next up, Jon plays Hollywood, Florida, on Thursday and Tampa on Friday, before bringing it home to the Opry on Sunday.

The first-ever video for George Harrison’s classic tune “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” has just been released, directed by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard.

It took a team of 20 stop-motion artisans to create the stop-motion clip, which is set in the gardens of Friar Park, the Victorian mansion Harrison purchased in 1970. The video is described as “an homage to his love of gardening.”

“To work with the Harrison family and bring this video to life with a team of incredible young Canadian artists has been a great honor,” says Wolfhard. “It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever.”

Harrison’s son, Dhani Harrison, who was an executive producer on the clip, notes, “Finn is one of the sweetest and most talented people I know of his generation, and he is the perfect person to direct a video for my dad.” He adds, “My dad would have loved this, and I hope his wonderful, creative, heartfelt ideas help this song reach another generation.”

“Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” was the opening track and lead single off Harrison’s 1973 album, Living in the Material World, which went to #1. The song topped the chart as well, becoming Harrison’s second #1 after “My Sweet Lord.”

Disco queen Donna Summer has been posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Summer, who wrote her hits like “Love to Love You Baby,” “Bad Girls,” “On the Radio” and “She Works Hard for the Money,” was celebrated Monday at a ceremony in West Hollywood, California. Summer’s husband, Bruce Sudano, and their daughters Brooklyn Sudano and Amanda Sudano Ramirez were in attendance.

“It’s important to me because I know how important it was for Donna,” Bruce Sudano said at the ceremony. “The backstory is, with all the accolades that she received over her career, being respected as a songwriter was always the thing that she felt was overlooked. So for her to be accepted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, I know that she’s very happy … somewhere.”

Summer passed away in 2012 at age 63. She sold an estimated 150 million records worldwide and was posthumously inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
