Keith Urban has a special performance coming up. On Thursday, he’ll take the stage from New York City’s Rockefeller Center to perform a selection of his biggest hits.

But that’s not all: The country superstar will also debut his brand-new single, “Brown Eyes Baby,” which is officially headed to radio on July 8. Keith’s been performing the new song on some recent stops of his The Speed of Now Tour, but it doesn’t appear on the track list of his latest album, The Speed of Now Part 1, meaning a new batch of music just might be on its way.

Fans have been capturing footage of Keith’s performance of the song, including a clip filmed on the second night of his tour in West Palm Beach. According to that video, “Brown Eyes Baby” is a mid-tempo ballad about turning heartache into something sweeter.

“So we’ve been working on some new music that’s gonna be coming out very soon, and we thought we might lay one on you,” Keith told the audience at that show before performing the song.

Keith’s Rockefeller performance will be broadcast as a TODAY takeover during the 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. hours. Tune in to watch on NBC.

Yungblud has released a new song called “Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today,” which will appear on his upcoming self-titled album.

“I wrote this song on a morning when I didn’t even want to get out of bed,” the U.K. rocker explains. “I sat and looked at the ceiling, head full of so much s***, reading what the internet was saying about me that day, and I just didn’t feel like feeling sad.”

“I wrote these words to help me stand up,” he adds. “To me this song is what happiness feels like. Happiness with a bite.”

“Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today” is available now via digital outlets and is accompanied by a video featuring Yungblud rocking out in front of a crowd in London. The shoot attracted so many fans that the police shut it down due to overcrowding.

You can watch the video streaming now on YouTube.

Yungblud, the album, will be released September 2. It also includes the previously released single “The Funeral” and the WILLOW collaboration, “Memories.”

Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale feels “angry, disgusted, heartbroken & terrified” over SCOTUS’ Roe v. Wade ruling

Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale has shared a statement in response to the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade last Friday, ending the fundamental right to abortion that has been the law for almost 50 years.

In an Instagram post Tuesday accompanied by a photo of Hale giving the middle finger, the “I Miss the Misery” rocker writes, “I would’ve posted something on Friday, but we were filming a music video and then I ran off to celebrate pride weekend.”

“I wanted to feel the unbridled joy of the city around me, and exult the beauty of all the kindness and love I still feel in this world,” she adds. “I needed time before I sat down with this weight.”

Hale continues that she “wear[s] being a woman as a badge of honor.”

“I’ve had to break down barriers, move immovable mountains, and work twice as hard because of my gender to get where I am today,” Hale writes. “I’ve made it part of my mission statement to empower, inspire, and be a beacon of positive force for the young women that surround me. That’s what I have CHOSEN to do with my body.”

In all caps, she adds, “NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT I CAN AND CANNOT DO WITH MY BODY.”

In regards to the SCOTUS decision, Hale says she feels “angry, disgusted, heartbroken and terrified.”

“This overturn is going to cause so much pain, division, immense mental anguish, and death,” Hale writes. “The majority of America does NOT agree with this decision. It’s truly the tyranny of the minority. So I proudly stand with my sisters and allies. We will fight back. We will not be quiet. We will not behave.”

Hale ends the post with the lyrics to the Halestorm song “Bombshell.”

ABC/Gavin Bond

Katy Perry looks like she wants a hot girl summer. The “Roar” singer has put it out there that she wants to collaborate with Megan Thee Stallion.

Katy shared a clip of Meg declaring during a recent live video, “Respect Katy Perry, b****!” The rapper was vibing to Katy’s 2009 hit “Thinking of You” before grabbing a can of hairspray and singing loudly into it like a microphone.

“OMG lez duet ily Meg THEE katycat,” Katy gushed in the caption of the video, which included a kissy face emoji.

It wasn’t long before the “Savage” rapper responded, firing back with three flame emojis and a definitive, “Omg yes hot girl Katy ! Let’s do a song.”

The two artists have yet to collaborate, so this would be their first song together. Neither are strangers to crossover collabs, with Katy dominating the radio in 2013 with her Juicy J track, “Dark Horse,” while Meg has teamed with Dua Lipa and Maroon 5 for the respective hits “Sweetest Pie” and “Beautiful Mistakes.”

Selena Gomez thinks it’s time to reboot Wizards of Waverly Place.

The “Lose You to Love Me” singer caught up with Extra on the red carpet premiere of the new season of Only Murders in the Building and spoke about a potential revival.

“Hands down, I would love that,” she remarked.

Hilariously, her Only Murders co-star Steve Martin revealed he never heard of the show and asked, “What is it?” Selena responded with a laugh, “It’s my Disney show!”

That refreshed the comedian’s memory — or, at least, he pretended it did — and he declared, “Oh, I know about it.” Selena wasn’t convinced and shook her head knowingly.

The fantasy teen sitcom Wizards of Waverly place ran on Disney Channel for four seasons between October 2007 and 2012. It starred Selena, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin as three siblings who had to master their magic powers or lose them forever.

Disney Channel has rebooted several beloved shows, including The Proud FamilyThat’s So RavenDoogie Howser and others. Here’s hoping we see the Russo siblings reunite for their own spinoff series very soon!

You can listen to the song now via digital outlets.

Ed Sheeran reveals the songs he will never stop playing on tour

Ed Sheeran reveals the songs he will never stop playing on tour
Terence Patrick

Ed Sheeran knows what songs his concertgoers want to hear most, which is why he will never stop playing them on tour.

Appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the Grammy winner revealed his setlist will always include “Perfect,” “Shape of You,” “Bad Habits” and “Thinking Out Loud,” as well as his debut single, “The A Team.”

The British singer said he isn’t mad he will always have to play these songs on tour. As a music fan himself, he said he’d be annoyed if he went to see his favorite band and they didn’t play their biggest hits.

“I put it in my head, I was like, ‘I’m a massive Coldplay fan, and if I go to a Coldplay show and they don’t play ‘Fix You’ or ‘Yellow,’ I’m going to be [disappointed,]” Ed explained. “So, in my head, I’m like, ‘People are going to think that coming to my shows!'”

The “Shivers” singer also explained how happy he is to be constantly expanding that list of must-be-played songs. He notes, “Whenever you put out a new album, you’re like, ‘If I’m not ending the show with the new single from this album and it’s from the last album, I’m like, ‘Ah… has it done well?'”

Ed is very pleased “Bad Habits” — off his newest album = (Equals) — is doing so well. “‘Bad Habits’ is the best of the whole show, so I’m really, really, really, really pleased with that. But I thought I would just end the show with ‘Shape Of You’ for the rest of my life,” he confessed.

Ed also had this message for his American fans — his tour will be coming to the U.S., and he’ll reveal the list of dates “by the end of the year.”

Eric Church got to spend some time with NBA royalty.

While in Nashville for the NASCAR Ally 400 Cup Series, The Chief wined and dined with Michael Jordan at the Graduate Hotel. The two sipped on Cincoro tequila, a liquor brand co-founded by the basketball legend. Eric posted a photo of the epic meeting that shows them posing on a velvet couch with a couple of half empty bottles of Cincoro.

“Enjoyed the fellowship and the libations. Go Heels,” the “Heart on Fire” hitmaker writes in the caption, referencing the North Carolina Tar Heels, a group of athletic teams at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“A goat and a chief walk into a bar…” quips the Graduate Hotel in their post re-sharing the photo.

An avid sports fan, the country star made headlines in April when he cancelled his show in San Antonio, Texas to attend the North Carolina Tar Heels game against Duke University in the NCAA Championship.

Earlier this year, Asia announced that it was organizing a new tour to mark the supergroup’s 40th anniversary that would kick off this summer, but now, plans for the trek have been revised.

The tour, a joint outing with The Alan Parsons Live Project, originally was supposed to have launched in August, but the trek has been delayed because of a medical procedure Alan Parsons underwent recently. The tour is now being rescheduled for early 2023, and new dates will be announced soon.

Asia’s current lineup features two original members, drummer Carl Palmer and keyboardist Geoff Downes, as well as bassist/singer Billy Sherwood and lead vocalist/guitarist Marc Bonilla.

Sherwood joined Asia in 2017 after original lead singer and bassist John Wetton‘s death, while Bonilla was recently welcomed into the band to replace singer/guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, who began playing with the group in 2019.

Bonilla is a former member of late Emerson, Lake & Palmer keyboardist Keith Emerson‘s solo band.

“We were hoping to be out this August, however moving the tour to early next year so we can remain on a co-bill with The Alan Parsons Project will be well worth it,” says Palmer. “I am so thrilled that ASIA has finally been able to return to performing after three years off the road due to the pandemic; we have much to celebrate.”

Adds Downes, “ASIA has been through a lot during these last four decades, but the music has always endured…This tour will be historic.”

In addition to celebrating its 40th anniversary, the band also will be promoting its recently released multi-disc box set, ASIA in Asia — Live at The Budokan, Tokyo, 1983, which focuses on a historic concert the band played in Japan that featured ELP’s Greg Lake stepping in for Wetton.
