GAYLE dropped her long-awaited EP on Friday and, to celebrate, treated fans to a brand-new music video for the track “luv starved.”

The single is the lead track off her new studio effort and the visualizer adopts a flower theme as GAYLE roams around a green house and plays a piano covered in roses at an empty theater.

The single sees the young artist admitting she doesn’t know how to act when shown affection, and her old coping mechanism, which was pushing people away to avoid those confusing emotions, is starting to fail her because she’s becoming too lonely.

“Is it the fact that you’re there, do I actually care?/ The potential of the latter’s got me pullin’ my hair out/ I’m a skeleton of the love I once had/ Yeah, it was so bad, but you’re nothin’ like that, yeah,” GAYLE sings.

“luv starved” can be found on GAYLE’s six-track a study of the human experience volume one EP, which also features the tracks “sleeping with my friends,” “ur just horny” and “e-z.”

The 17-year-old singer told ABC Audio that she’s not singing about scandalous topics for its own sake — it’s just what Gen-Z does.  “We can say more shocking things just to get people to pay attention — which seems so, like, shocking and daring to people,” she said.

The music video for Jimmie Allen’s latest single, “Down Home,” will premiere this evening, and ahead of its release, the singer is sharing a few details about how he chose the treatment.

Like the song itself, the video is a tribute to Jimmie’s father, who died in 2019. Jimmie and his dad, who was known as “Big Jim,” bonded over baseball, fishing and many more father-son pastimes, which the singer revisits in the music video scenes.

Filming took place in Jimmie’s hometown of Milton, Delaware as well as the neighboring town of Lewes, hitting some of the family’s favorite spots, including the singer’s childhood home and his dad’s favorite restaurant. Jimmie  co-directed the video with Chris Beyrooty.

“Being able to shoot the video in the same place that I created so many memories with my father was super special,” Jimmie says. “It felt like my father was with me every step of the way.”

Family ties have been a big part of “Down Home” from the get-go. Jimmie debuted his new single onstage at the ACM Awards earlier this month, where he dedicated it to his dad’s memory. To top it off, the awards show took place on his mom’s birthday, and she was in the audience to watch Jimmie take the stage.

The “Down Home” music video will premiere today at 5 p.m. ET; you can tune in on YouTube.

It’s fun watching Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on American Idol, but we don’t get to hear them sing very often on the show.  But apparently, that’ll change this Sunday, when the trio participates in “Scaryoke,” in which they spin a wheel and sing the song the wheel stops on.

E! has an exclusive clip from Sunday’s episode, which begins with Katy spinning the wheel and getting the song “Rain Is a Good Thing,” a number-one country hit by Luke.

“I know you’re passing on that one!” Luke laughs.

“I don’t even know what that is!” admits Katy.

“It’s me!” Luke tells her.

“Oh, it’s you?” replies Katy. Awkward.

Then, Katy gets Shania Twain‘s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” which she’s does a great job with. Luke attempts “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler, but his voice cracks on him.

Lionel, who sits out the entire “Scaryoke” experiment, then conducts Katy and Luke as they duet on Lionel’s number-one hit with Diana Ross, “Endless Love.”

“Oh, that is so good!” Lionel says approvingly.

“Is there Auto-Tune on this?” Katy jokes.

You can watch the whole thing go down Sunday night on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.

The full film, which notably marks the first official Tool video in 15 years, is out today exclusively on Blu-ray.

Tool released the “Opiate2” single earlier this month to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1992 debut EP, Opiate.

A Quick One was released in December 1966 and reached #4 on the U.K. albums chart. Although it yielded no hit singles, the record included the min rock opera “A Quick One, While He’s Away,” a precursor to the band’s longer concept projects, as well as such memorable tunes as “Boris the Spider” and “So Sad About Us.”

In the U.S., both albums were released with different titles — The Who Sings My Generation and Happy Jack — and slightly different track lists. In 2008, The Who Sings My Generation was selected for inclusion in the U.S. Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry as “culturally significant.”

Greta Van Fleet guitarist Jake Kiszka has been admitted to the hospital, forcing the band to postpone another date on their ongoing Dreams in Gold tour.

On Wednesday, the “Highway Tune” rockers announced they were delaying a pair of Michigan shows this week after Jake and his brother, vocalist Josh Kiszka, “woke up ill.” The statement said that COVID-19 had been “ruled out” as the cause of the sickness.

In a follow-up statement Thursday evening, GVF writes that while Josh has “mostly recovered,” Jake’s situation has become “more complex.”

“What started as a small cough on Tuesday rapidly progressed overnight, requiring his admission to the hospital yesterday,” the statement reads. “The last 24 hours have been arduous as doctors were unsure of the exact illness.”

The band continues, “Fortunately, after further evaluation, [the doctors] are confident in their diagnosis of pneumonia and an optimal course of treatment has been determined.”

Greta planned to return to the road this Saturday, March 19, in Huntington, West Virginia, but that show has now been postponed to August. The Dreams in Gold tour is now set to continue Tuesday, March 22, in Madison, Wisconsin.

“We are grateful for your kindness and appreciate your positive support during this difficult time,” the band says. “We promise to give you the most up to date information as the situation progresses.”

Post Malone is doing his part to help one of the nation’s most vulnerable communities — abused children.

The Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Police Department announced that the “Circles” rapper pitched in to assist in ongoing fundraising efforts to support Camp Hope Utah, an organization benefiting child victims or witnesses of crime.

The Grammy nominee is a resident of Utah and lives in an impressive bunker outside of Salt Lake City.

“CHPD is helping the Salt Lake District Attorney’s Office raise money for Camp Hope Utah sponsoring abused kids,” the department announced on Twitter. “Post Malone donated this signed Fender Squire guitar to help raise money.”

The department included several photos of the cream-colored guitar, including a closeup of Posty’s signature, which he embellished with a peace sign, smiley face and three hearts.

If you want to get your hands on this rare Post Malone collectible — and help children while you’re at it — the department said to “email an offer to: CampHopeUtah@ch.Utah.gov.”

Camp Hope, which is a national organization, operates summer camps for abused children and allows them to enjoy activities such as fishing, crafts and campfires while working with trained, trauma-informed counselors.

Katy Perry explains why “When I’m Gone” will help people “revenge celebrate”

Katy Perry explains why “When I’m Gone” will help people “revenge celebrate”
ABC/Gavin Bond

Katy Perry recently teamed with Alesso for the track “When I’m Gone” and revealed why now is the perfect time to release their intended summer smash.

“We both knew we wanted to put out a great dance song and this was the right time,” Katy told People in a new interview. “We had the same goals in mind in that we just wanted to create an amazing vibe, and we wanted to just have that kind of sexy, longing, club vibe for the people.”

“This was the right time, right before I was starting my residency, and the world was coming back and everybody wants to revenge celebrate,” the “Roar” singer declared.

That sentiment carried over into creating the song’s music video, which Katy was committed to making perfect — even dancing in the water at three in the morning, about which she cracked, “It was not warm.”

“We wanted the music video to really match the song,” she declared, saying she fussed over “every little detail” to make it happen.

Added Alesso, “We wanted to do something that was cool and sexy that worked with the song and [was] very visually pleasing, and it just turned out so great.”

Katy described working with the Swedish DJ as “effortless, and easy, and cool” because they “had the same goals” when it came to creating the track.

“Alesso has no ego, he has the right amount of ego to be a DJ,” said Katy.  “Confidence, maybe. But it’s great, because ego really gets in the way of good work getting done. He was happy to take any notes, and when we came together in the studio, he was so open.”

For his part, Alesso said working with Katy was “such an awesome experience.”

The 30th anniversary edition of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards‘ second solo album, 1992’s Main Offender, was released today.

The reissue is available in multiple formats and configurations, including a limited-edition super-deluxe box set featuring remastered CD and vinyl versions of the album, as well as a bonus live album on CD and two LPs.

A follow-up to Richards’ 1988 solo debut, Talk Is Cheap, Main Offender was released in October 1992. The album features 10 songs that Keith co-wrote with acclaimed drummer and producer Steve Jordan, who became The Stones’ touring drummer in 2021. Guitarist Waddy Wachtel, bassist/keyboardist Charley Drayton and backing singer Sara Dash — who died in 2021 — also received songwriting credits on select tunes.

Jordan, Wachtel, Drayton and Dash, along with keyboardist Ivan Neville, all were members of Richards’ side group The X-Pensive Winos. Last week, Keith reunited with most of the group to perform at the 2022 Love Rocks NYC! benefit concert at New York’s Beacon Theatre.

Main Offender peaked at #99 on the Billboard 200, while the songs “Wicked as It Seems” and “Eileen” reached #3 and #17, respectively, on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Tracks tally.

The live album featured in the box set, titled Winos Live in London ’92, captures a previously unreleased performance by Keith and his band that includes renditions of select songs from both Talk Is Cheap and Main Offender, as well as of The Stones’ “Gimme Shelter,” “Before They Make Me Run” and “Happy.”

The super deluxe collection also features an LP version of Main Offender pressed on smoke-colored vinyl; an 88-page, leather-bound book offering rare photos and Keith’s handwritten lyrics; and collectibles including a guitar pick, a bumper sticker and posters.
