“I want my money! This is not fair!” Wendy Williams takes to Instagram to decry control over her finances

“I want my money! This is not fair!” Wendy Williams takes to Instagram to decry control over her finances

Wendy Williams has posted an Instagram video in which she blasts the people she claims have frozen her access to her own money.

As previously reported, in court documents, Wells Fargo requested a conservatorship for the talk show host because it believes “she is the victim of undue influence and financial exploitation” — an allegation Wendy has denied.

“My thing is that I’ve been asking questions about my money and when I begin asking questions about my money, suddenly Lori Schiller has got no response regarding my money. I want my money. This is not fair,” Williams says in her post.  Schiller, a financial advisor at Wells Fargo, reportedly led the bank to freeze Wendy’s funds.

“Wells Fargo has no questions and answers regarding my money. This is not fair,” Wendy goes on. “And Lori Schiller and Wells Fargo has this guardianship petition about keeping me away from my money.”

The former talk show host previously told Good Morning America that the situation has prevented her from fulfilling her financial obligations, including mortgage payments and employee payroll.

In her video, Williams also puts her former manager, Bernie Young, on blast, claiming, “I know for a fact that Bernie Young used my American Express card to hire an attorney to file a petition against me. That was done with my American Express card.”

“You’re no good…,” she says of Young, who according to a recent report in The Sun claimed Williams’ affairs need to be overseen because “she suffers serious health problems.”

Wendy continues, “A former doctor… had medical information about me that I never even got! It was sent over to Lori Schiller. So I haven’t gotten this stuff. I fired this doctor and, again, all I want to know is where is my money? This is not right! And certainly, this is not fair.”

“The New York court system, without evidence is being weird to me,” Wendy laments.

In February, Wells Fargo denied any “improper actions” to People, claiming, “The financial well-being of our clients is at the heart of everything we do.”

Luke Combs was scheduled this week to record a performance to air during next month’s CMT Music Awards, but those plans have been scrapped due to a positive COVID-19 test.

The Tennessean reports the news, explaining that Luke originally planned to record a performance for the show with Kane Brown at an undisclosed location on Thursday. Old Dominion has stepped up to fill Luke’s performance slot.

“Unfortunately, Luke Combs won’t be with us tomorrow,” a spokesperson for CMT said on Wednesday. “He is quarantined with COVID. He’s bummed to miss seeing everyone!”

As of Thursday morning, Luke himself hasn’t issued a statement about his absence from the show or updated fans on how he’s feeling. It’s also unclear whether or not his wife, Nicole, is quarantining with him. She had COVID-19 back in December 2020, and on her Instagram stories, described her recovery process as “brutal,” saying, “I’ve had all the symptoms, except for a fever. It beat me up.”

Nicole is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child, a boy. She’s due this spring.

The 2022 CMT Music Awards will air on CBS on April 11. Luke is nominated in the categories of Male Video of the Year and Video of the Year, both for his music video for “Forever After All.”

Joe Jonas was one of Jimmy Fallon‘s Tonight Show guests on Wednesday and discussed a number of things, including the Jonas Brother‘s ritual of warming up before a show with a theatrical version of “All Star” by Smash Mouth.

“I find it really warms my vocals up and gets me in the right mindset,” Jonas explained, after which Jimmy pulled out a microphone and coaxed Joe into giving the audience a demonstration..

Joe also talked about the Jonas Brothers’ Las Vegas five-night mini residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM on June 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11, his collaboration with Tanqueray, Bridgerton, and the Elvis impersonator who officiated his marriage to Sophie Turner — the latter of which turned out to be a big mistake.

“Everybody signed [non disclosure agreements] except Elvis,” he explained. “He didn’t do anything crazy, but we woke up and turned on the local news and there he is…doing interviews.”

“We also had Ring Pops as our wedding rings, and he was trying to sell the Ring Pop wrappers on eBay,” he added.

Earlier, Joe joined Jimmy in a game of TikTok Duets, where they took turns completing TikTok users’ songs with their own improvised lyrics.

Christina Perri has returned with “evergone,” the first single from her new album. Inspired by the devastating pregnancy loss she suffered in 2020, Christina says writing the song not only made her feel better, it convinced her to continue her music career.

“That song healed me so much,” Christina tells ABC Audio. “It was so authentically sort of put in my life at a time where I wasn’t even sure I was going to do this album or go back to work…I was in…like, a grief house is kind of what I call it…and I sort of stumbled upon this song.”

Specifically, an executive at Christina’s label sent her a snippet of the song, to which she responded, “I want to finish writing that. I want to make it my story.”

She adds, “It really kind of helped me. I mean, I already had an album finished. I just wasn’t sure what was gonna happen next.”

Reflecting on the song, Christina notes, “This could have just been a project for me…just to help me remember I love creating.” But after her team heard “evergone,” everyone agreed it was the right choice for a first single, to “honor” her “narrative.” As she explains, “I feel like my whole career. I’ve never skirted around real things I was going through.”

Christina continues, “I really feel like because I told my truth, because I made it super-specific, it did one of those magical things where it ends up being incredibly general and universal.”

And, she says, “evergone” is a good example of what you can expect from the new album.

“Nobody’s putting on the Christina Perri playlist to dance, you know what I mean?” she laughs. “It’s definitely  all about the feels. So if that’s what people are expecting, then I’ve really nailed it!”

Prolific hit songwriter Desmond Child will headline a special songwriting-themed edition of Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp scheduled to take place April 7-10 in Nashville.

Child, who has co-written such classic songs as Bon Jovi‘s “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer,” Aerosmith‘s “Dude Looks Like a Lady,” KISS‘ “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” and Ricky Martin‘s “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” will be joined by — as he describes them — “spectacular featured guests,” including Steve Cropper, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, Marti Frederiksen and Desmond’s “all-time hero,” Felix Cavaliere from The Rascals.

Attendees will be expected to bring their own original songs to the camp, and Child will share his expertise on how to hone their compositions. In addition, he will give campers assignments to write various types of tunes, and campers also will collaborate with each other on songs.

Of course, the guest mentors also will be on hand to impart their songwriting knowledge.

“I’m gonna be attending every single one of those [sessions] if they don’t have me busy doing mine,” Child tells ABC Audio, “because there’s something to learn from everybody.”

Regarding his own participation in the camp, Child says, “I have all of this knowledge inside that I’m dying to share…with young people [who]…even if they don’t make it their career…have that kind of appreciation of…how a song is made and how it’s constructed and what makes a song successful.”

In addition to the various aspects of songwriting, the camp will focus on such topics as recording demos, navigating through the music business and much more.

Desmond says that for him, though, “the main thing is to be inspired by art, by creating.”
