Wiz Khalifa makes a triumphant solo music return with the new video for this latest single, “Bad A** B*****s

The Edgar Esteves-directed visual sees Khalifa in a desert-like location surrounded and adorned by a group of women dressed in red ensembles with matching capes. Making a quick cameo in the video are a few jars of the rapper’s famous Khalifa Kush marijuana brand.

Earlier this week, Khalifa sat down with Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest host Anthony Anderson to announce the release date of his forthcoming album, Multiverse, due out July 29.

He then alerted fans of the album’s due date via social media and unveiled the project’s caricature-like cover art on Instagram this week.

Khalifa also talked with Anderson about a new film venture with his portrayal of George Clinton — a pioneer of funk music — in the upcoming biopic Spinning Gold. Khalifa said he was very familiar with Clinton prior to taking on the role.

“My parents listened to all types of music in the house and they made sure I grew up with the funk,” he said. “It was just fun to be a part of it. They really wanted me to be myself but as him.”

A busy man these days, the “Black and Yellow” rapper is gearing up to hit the road with his Vinyl Verse tour, co-headlined by fellow rapper Logic. Starting July 27 in Irvine, CA, the tour will hit 28 cities across the U.S. and wrap in September.

Tickets for the tour can be found on Wiz Khalifa’s official website.

The official trailer for the recently announced four-part Rolling Stones docuseries My Life as a Rolling Stone has debuted on the EPIX network’s YouTube channel.

As previously reported, the series, which celebrates the British rock legends’ 60th anniversary, premieres August 7. Each hour-long episode will focus on one of the band’s four main members — singer Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood and late drummer Charlie Watts.

At one point, Richards comments, “Mick Jagger is Mick Jagger, a very honorable man…under all that crap.”

We also hear Jagger say, “Keith’s got a reputation as a hell raiser. He’d play The Beatles all the time. [It’d] drive me batty!”

Wood then appears and says about himself, “Number one is learn how to laugh at yourself,” followed by Richards commenting about Watts, “Charlie was the best drummer England has ever produced.”

Near the end of the trailer, Richards declares, “Turning people on for 60 years, we must be doing something right.”

My Life as a Rolling Stone also will feature Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Chrissie Hynde, Jon Bon Jovi, Joe Walsh, AC/DC‘s Brian Johnson, Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Tom Waits, Dan Aykroyd and more. Actress Sienna Miller narrates the series.

The first episode will profile Jagger and will be available to watch for free via various cable and streaming services. The Richards, Wood and Watts episodes will debut on EPIX on August 14, August 21 and August 28, respectively.

Macklemore has finally finished his not-so-secret collaboration with “Dance Monkey” singer Tones and I and promised fans will hear it very soon.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the Grammy winner shared a video of him jamming in a parking lot to a new song named “CHANT.” “Can you guess who’s singing on the hook?” he captioned the clip. A female voice is heard singing, “I’m on fire, fire/ You can’t take my voice from me/ I will rise up, rise up/ So what are you waiting for?”

It didn’t take fans long to guess it was Tones, whose real name is Toni Watson. The Australian singer has previously stated she’s a big fan of Macklemore.

Soon after, the “Glorious” rapper shared a follow-up video in which he sits on a couch and further teases the collab. “What’s up, guys? I’ve been working on some new music and I brought the homie,” Macklemore says. Tones then rises from behind the couch and flashes a rock-on sign.

“This song is SPECIAL,” she said of “CHANT” when re-sharing the video to her own Instagram page.

The song drops July 22.

A visibly frustrated Boosie Badazz exited the passenger seat of what looks to be a black Cadillac SUV Wednesday during a traffic stop in Georgia, which resulted in the rapper being handcuffed.

According to TMZ, Boosie and another man were pulled over for heavy window tint and concealed tags, before cops claimed they smelled marijuana, prompting a car search. The two were then placed in cuffs and asked to stand on the side.

“I can’t be going through this though, bro,” Boosie is heard saying to one of the officers in the body cam footage. “I can’t bro,” he repeats. “I do no wrong.”

Appearing to grow in his frustration, the rapper added, “It’s harassment, it’s every day.”

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Boosie, 39, born Torence Hatch, says in the body cam footage, he moved to Atlanta to “live,” seemingly referring to his decision to relocate due to past legal woes. He previously told Rolling Stone”Police in Atlanta don’t hate me.”

As heard in the footage, Boosie says he needs to consult with the “superiors” of the officers who made the stop and explains multiple reasons why he shouldn’t have been “targeted.”

“Car’s not stolen. Registration is right. The tag is right. I was pulled over ‘cus it’s Boosie’s car,” he says. He later adds that if he were a “white college player,” he would have not been in the situation.

TMZ reports cops found cash and marijuana in the car. The other man claimed ownership, was cited and they both were let go.

Buying a t-shirt as a concert souvenir is so 2021 — wouldn’t you rather buy an NFT?  Goo Goo Dolls are hoping the answer is yes.

In connection with their 2022 summer tour, the band is rolling out an NFT collection: There are 44 different designs, each commemorating a city they’ll be playing in.  Each animated NFT is based on the cover design of their upcoming album Chaos in Bloom, but has the name of the city instead of the title — such as “Chaos in Portland” or “Chaos in Kansas City” — plus the venue.

There are 50 NFTs available per city, and they cost $25 each.  You can check them out, or purchase one, at the website Fanaply.

The band’s tour kicks off Friday, July 15 and is scheduled to wrap up September 24 in the band’s hometown of Buffalo, NY.  Chaos in Bloom arrives August 12.

Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has broken his silence on the Doja Cat controversy to let fans know both of them are cool.

Last week, Noah shared the “Say So” singer’s private DM in what was intended to be a funny video about her crush on Joseph Quinn. Doja previously slid into Noah’s DMs in hopes he could be her wingman.

The Grammy winner later revealed she was “disappointed” and “bummed” he had leaked her private messages. “That’s like borderline snake s***,” she said on a fan-recorded TikTok live, adding she chose to give Noah the benefit of the doubt because of his age. She noted of the 17-year-old actor, “When you’re that young, you make mistakes.”

Still, the video was polarizing enough to cause fans to draw lines in the sand. Sympathizers flocked to Noah’s side and slammed the 26-year-old singer for messaging a minor about her romantic interests.

The controversy continued to grow, so Noah took to TikTok to let fans know the situation is all water under the bridge.

“Guys everything is all good I apologized,” he wrote in a comment after posting a funny video of him crushing math problems to a Doja Cat song. “I still follow her and love her music.” He added there are “no hard feelings” between the two.

Despite his assurances, Doja continues to shed followers. So far, she has lost over 200,000 Instagram fans.  Noah also now boasts more TikTok and Instagram followers than her.

Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has released the first single with his newest band, Dieth.

The track is titled “In the Hall of the Hanging Serpents” and is streaming alongside a video now on YouTube.

Along with Ellefson, Dieth includes guitarist/vocalist Guilherme Miranda of the band Entombed A.D. and former Decapitated drummer Michal Łysejko.

“The three of us have all been recognized in our respective bands and careers but at some point, we had to close the door on those exploits to let something new begin and now we have found it in Dieth,” Ellefson says. “In fact, the name itself is about dying to one’s past so that something new can spring forth to create the next chapter of life. And, that is a connection the three of us hold in common.”

Ellefson was let go from Megadeth in 2021 after a sexually explicit video of him leaked online. He was replaced by Testament bassist Steve Di Giorgio on Megadeth’s upcoming new album The Sick, the Dying…and the Dead!, while returning Megadeth member James LoMenzo has become the band’s new official bassist.

Along with Dieth, Ellefson’s post-Megadeth projects include the band The Lucid, which launched last September.

Jim Messina is set to reunite with his 1970s musical partner Kenny Loggins for a pair of shows this Friday and Saturday at the famed Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The concerts are billed as “Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin’ In,” a play on the titled of the duo’s 1971 debut album, Sittin’ In, and Messina tells ABC Audio that the shows will begin with Loggins doing an hour of his solo material followed by the duo performing a set of their music.

Messina says he and Loggins will “give people a potpourri” from their catalog, adding that they will focus on “more of the earlier Loggins and Messina, which I think people are most familiar with.”

Among the songs Jim says he and Kenny likely will perform are “House at Pooh Corner,” “Danny’s Song,” “Trilogy,” “Angry Eyes,” “Vahevela” and their biggest hit, “Your Mama Don’t Dance.”

Loggins and Messina only performed together once before at the Hollywood Bowl, in August 1972. The shows also are part the venue’s 100 birthday festivities.

Meanwhil, a recent USA Today article reported that Loggins confirmed these two shows will be the last time that he and Messina will perform together. However, Jim tells ABC Audio that he’d be open to playing more concerts with Kenny, and he suggests this week’s events could help gauge as to whether that’s a good idea.

“[W]e can see if we’re having fun, and if we are, then [we could] do some more,” he notes. “If not, then, you know, we gave it the old college try, right?”

Asked what he’s looking forward to about the concerts, Messina says, “I think most of all is feeling the experience of our two voices working together.”

Tickets for the shows are available at HollywoodBowl.com.
