Yellowcard surely loves having another #1 single, even if they’re not crazy about some other things.

On the band’s Good Charlotte-featuring song “Bedroom Posters,” which has reached the top of the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart, frontman Ryan Key sings, “I love my sister, but I hate it in LA.”

“‘I hate it in LA’ in ‘Bedroom Posters’ is, like, I hate getting off the plane and dealing with getting out of the airport at LAX,” Key tells ABC Audio.

Key’s feelings toward Los Angeles are probably not too surprising to longtime Yellowcard fans who might remember similar sentiments on the band’s 2006 album, Lights and Sounds. But right next to “Bedroom Posters” on Yellowcard’s latest album, 2025’s Better Days, is a much more LA-positive song called “City of Angels.”

As Key explains, Yellowcard was working on Better Days with producer Travis Barker near where the LA wildfires of 2025 broke out.

“[Barker] mentioned, ‘We should write something for LA. We should write something for what’s going on right now,'” Key recalls.

In “City of Angels,” Key grapples with his personal feelings with LA while also acknowledging what the city has given him during his life.

“As much as the kind of anxiety of this city gives me anxiety, and it’s not my ideal environment to live, I have to recognize how special it is and it has been for me and so many other people who have come out here to do what we did and somehow pulled off, following our dreams as 21-year-old kids,” Key says.

Yellowcard will launch a U.S. tour Wednesday in Atlanta.

The screenings will be held May 16 in Chicago, May 20 in New York and June 20 in LA, following a run of preview screenings in 2021. Each event will include a live Q&A with Chance.

These screenings mark the start of a larger celebration for the milestone anniversary.

The stars came out for the 2026 Met Gala Monday night in New York City, and as usual, the gathering included a contingent of some of pop’s biggest names. Here’s a roundup:

Katy Perry took the theme of “Fashion is Art” very seriously. She wore a white satin Stella McCartney gown repurposed from surplus tailoring fabrics, with a train that was intentionally burned to tease her upcoming single, “Watch It Burn.” She paired the gown with a custom headpiece featuring a mirrored mask insert. According to a press release, the accessory “invites the observer to consider that their perception of others can mirror their own internal world, and conversely mask truth.” Topping off the outfit: white gloves, one of which had a sixth finger, in reference to the fact that in 2024 and 2025 AI-generated fan art depicted her as falsely attending the Met Gala.

Hooray for Hollywood! Met Gala co-chair Sabrina Carpenter wore a Christian Dior dress made entirely out of film strips, along with a 1920s-style headpiece. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the strips were actual vintage camera film from Audrey Hepburn’s 1954 classic movie Sabrina. The look reflected the “Sabrinawood” aesthetic she showed off at Coachella.

Fellow co-chair Beyoncé, returning to the event for the first time in 10 years, wore a diamond-studded dress by Olivier Rousteing that looked like a skeleton, with a matching sun-shaped crown headpiece and a feathered train that was so long it took five people to carry it up the stairs.

Sam Smith wore a voluminous black, sparkly, fur-trimmed gown and a 2-foot-tall feather attached to their forehead.

HUNTR/X star EJAE didn’t go “Golden” for the carpet. Instead, she wore a silver column gown that was spangled and bejeweled, with matching silver accessories in her hair. Her bandmate Audrey Nuna wore a floor-length black-and-white coat dress and matching hat that looked like they’d been splattered with paint.

Gracie Abrams wore a golden bejeweled Chanel gown that was inspired by the paintings of artist Gustav Klimt

Sombr wore a black lace and silver confection that featured a floor-length silver fringed cape.

Tate McRae wore a golden custom gown by Ludovic de Saint Sernin that, according to a press release, was inspired by the golden statues on the ceremonial boat of French King Louis XIV. The lace and feather creation was meant to turn Tate into a “a living statue … a luminous art object.”

A number of stars wore outfits that featured accessories that looked like hands, arms or both. BLACKPINK’s LISA was one of them, wearing a white tulle gown topped off by a massive lace veil that rose above her head because it was held up by two white artificial arms

SZA wore an elaborate dress by Bode in various hues of yellow, created from a mix of over 100 yards of different fabrics — taffeta, silk, lace and tulle — sourced entirely from eBay. The gown was covered with floral appliqués and butterfly motifs, topped off by a headdress of flowers and golden chains.

Doechii was naked and barefoot, except for a strategically placed draping of purple fabric and a towering purple fabric headdress.

An unexpected guest was rock goddess Stevie Nicks, who made her Met Gala debut in a custom midnight blue and black Zara gown designed by John Galliano, as per People. The gown featured an enormously wide skirt, topped with a velvet and silk taffeta jacket. She crowned the look with one of her signature top hats.

Thomas Rhett envisions dream concert moment with Bruno Mars

Thomas Rhett’s off work Wednesday night, but he’s willing to jump into action if the opportunity arises.

The “Ain’t a Bad Life” hitmaker is headed to Nashville’s Nissan Stadium to see Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour Wednesday, and on Monday he gave notice he’d do almost anything to step onstage with his favorite artist.

“This video is for Bruno Mars,” TR said on Instagram, in a clip that must have been recorded last week. “If you have ever watched any interview of mine, then you would know that when people ask me who is my dream collaboration, it’s you bro.”

“And my wife and I bought tickets to your show next week in Nashville and I’m just putting it out there,” he continues. “I know every single word to every single one of your songs. I’ll be in the crowd. If you need a friend, if you need someone to sing, or even dance, holla at your boy. Love you, buddy.”

Of course, TR is no stranger to pop collabs or stadiums. He’ll play Nashville’s Geodis Park with Niall Horan July 9, and he just put out “Where We Go” with Marshmello.

Meghan Trainor, ZAYN and Post Malone have all canceled U.S. tour dates recently, and now the Pussycat Dolls have done the same. The difference is the group seemingly admitting it’s because sales haven’t been up to par.

“When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates,” the group wrote on Instagram.

They went on to say that the U.K. and European dates are still on because some of those shows are already sold out. Plus, their scheduled performance at WeHo Pride in LA on June 6 is still going forward.

“We are putting everything into making this show a true celebration of the music and the memories, for the fans who have been with us from the beginning and those discovering us for the first time,” the group wrote. “We’re working hard to create the kind of show we’ve always dreamed of bringing to you.”

Fans in the comments asked if perhaps the group might consider doing the tour and just playing smaller venues, while one fan wrote, “Kudos to you all for the honest message.”

A few fans noted that they weren’t happy that the tour only includes three original Dolls: Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts. Nicole actually went viral when she failed to adequately answer a question about the absence of other members on the lineup while appearing on NBC’s Today show.

Meghan cited wanting to spend more time with young family as the reason for canceling her Get In Girl tour. ZAYN cited health reasons, and Post Malone said he needed to finish his album. Variety reports that sales for those tours were “notably weak.”

Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh will premiere his new John Lennon and Yoko Ono documentary at the Cannes Film Festival, which runs May 12-23.

The film, John Lennon: The Last Interview, centers on Lennon’s final interview, which he and Ono sat for just hours before he was shot and killed on Dec. 8, 1980. The interview took place at the couple’s New York apartment, The Dakota, and was tied to the release of their album Double Fantasy.

Much has been made about Soderbergh’s use of AI in making the film, but in a new interview with Deadline, he insists it wasn’t used “to fool somebody or manipulate them” into thinking something’s real. Instead, he says, it was used like “VFX or CGI or any sort of non-photographic technology.”

“I think people, when they heard about this project and that I was using AI tech, jumped to the absolute worst conclusion, which is, ‘He’s going to try and bring John Lennon back to life,'” he says. “And all I can say is, have we met? Do I look like somebody that would do that?”

Soderbergh says he felt a “moral obligation” to himself, Ono, Lennon’s son Sean Lennon and the audience to make “the best version of this film, period,” noting, “And we were able — luckily, through good timing — to get our hands on some tools that I know resulted in the best version of this film.”

When it comes to the actual Lennon and Ono interview, Soderbergh says he was surprised by “how excited they were to talk about everything and anything.” He notes, “You’d think listening to them that they’d never been interviewed before. They had like no filter at all.”

What year is it? Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj’s 2012 duet “Beauty and a Beat” is currently the biggest song in the world.

Blame Justin’s Coachella performance on April 11: During that show, Justin played YouTube clips of his old hits and sang along to them, including “Beauty and a Beat.” The renewed interest in the track has now sent the song to #1 on Billboard‘s Global 200, which ranks the world’s biggest hits based on sales and online streaming in over 200 territories.

The song, from Justin’s album Believe, originally reached #6 on the Hot 100 in 2012. It’s Justin’s third #1 on the Global 200, following “Stay” with The Kid LAROI and “Peaches,” featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon. Both those songs topped the chart in 2021.

But that isn’t even the oldest song in the top 10 on the Global 200. Thanks to the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, “Billie Jean” has jumped to #8. The song originally spent seven weeks at #1 in 1983.
