Brett Eldredge has announced a tour to go along with Songs About You, his forthcoming new album.

Kicking off on June 19 — just two days after the album comes out — the Songs About You Tour will begin in Brett’s home state of Illinois and extend through late September. A rotating cast of supporting acts will join the singer at his shows, including Lauren Alaina, Breland, Caylee Hammack, Nate Smith and Shelby Darrall.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, May 20, but members of Brett’s The Locals fan club will have access to a pre-sale beginning May 17.

Along with his tour news, Brett dropped another new song off of his Songs About You album Friday. Called “Wait Up for Me,” the piano ballad counts down the minutes until two lovers are reunited at the end of a long day.

Songs About You arrives in full on June 17.

Katy Perry revealed one way she keeps her relationship with fiancé Orlando Bloom healthy — couple’s therapy.

Appearing on Chelsea Handler‘s Dear Chelsea podcast, Katy fielded a question from a fan wanting to know how she can stop yelling so much at her boyfriend.

The “Roar” singer’s initial advice was to take “three deep breaths” before speaking.  “I know it sounds also like a cliché,” Katy admitted, adding, “I know what it’s like to have been yelled at as a child,” and insisting shouting at someone is “not going to work.”

Katy then shared, “Orlando and I do couple’s therapy, and we love it because it keeps us in tune, and the resentment can get really strong when you’re both working hard.”

Noting how things are different when one’s in the professional spotlight, Katy said, “when you want to come back to being normal in a domesticated world where you have a child and stuff like that, you have to really learn how to be kind of different out there in the big and in the small.  And so we’ve had a lot of success with that couple’s therapy.”

Katy also spoke about her 2017 breakup with Bloom, admitting it came during “the worst year of my life” because she had to “evolve and grow” into a better person.  Katy credited going through the Hoffman Process — a week-long retreat designed to eradicate negative habits and behaviors — for helping her get to a space where she was ready for that kind of relationship.

“It profoundly changed my life,” she said.

Katy and Bloom share a daughter, Daisy Dove.

Nine Inch NailsTrent Reznor and Atticus Ross guest on a new song from jazz drummer Antonio Sánchez.

The track, titled “I Think We’re Past That Now,” features a vocal performance from Reznor that shifts from an eerie whisper to a more forceful delivery, while Ross provides the main synth line. You can listen to it now via digital outlets.

Aside from working with them on the same song, Sánchez has another thing in common with the NIN duo: they’ve all composed music for film. Reznor and Ross, of course, have scored movies including The Social Network and Soul, while Sánchez provided the percussion-heavy soundtrack to the film Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), which won Best Picture at the 2015 Oscars.

Nine Inch Nails, meanwhile, just returned to the stage last month to play their first live show since 2018. Their next scheduled concert takes place at Florida’s Welcome to Rockville festival on May 22.

Are Post Malone and Bob Dylan planning to collaborate?  According to Posty, the legendary singer slid into his DMs and the two have “been chatting.”

“I have not met Bob Dylan, but we have been — Um.  I don’t know how much I’m at liberty to discuss — but we’ve been chatting… We’ve chatted,” Malone said Thursday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “He kind of slid in my DMs.”

The “Circles” singer didn’t reveal any details about what the two have been talking about, but he says being able to talk to one of his icons is an “incredible” experience.

“He’s the best!  He’s so fun” Post raved. “Always appreciated the music and appreciated the songwriting.”  He also revealed he has a Bob Dylan tattoo on his left arm.

Post also revisited his old YouTube channel, where he — with no visible tattoos — went by his birth name, Austin Richard Post.  Only one video remains on the account: a 2013 cover of Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right.”

“My original plan was… I think I was 16-something, but I was like, ‘I’m gonna do a bunch of covers, and we’re gonna see if anybody likes them,” he told Fallon. “We did some Bob Dylan, and I think that’s just about it, but I recorded a bunch that I never uploaded.”

Post also teased his forthcoming album, Twelve Carat Toothache, which drops June 3.  Post credits the album for reviving his love for making music after a three-year slump.  “For the longest time I lost my passion for making music.  I lost the drive,” he explained. “And one moment that snapped and said, ‘You know what, this is why I’m here, and this is what I want to do. This is what I was meant to do.'”

The Chainsmokers’ So Far So Good is finally here

After a three-year wait and an extended social media hiatus, The Chainsmokers are back with their long-awaited fourth studio album, So Far So Good.

Released Friday, the album features the previously released tracks “Riptide,” “High” and “iPad,” all of which feature Andrew Taggart‘s vocals.  But unlike their previous releases, this album is collaboration-free.

The Grammy winners have been telling fans since they first announced So Far So Good is that it’s “Chainsmokers 2.0” and a soft reboot of their career.  They stressed this album is a departure from their previous works and will feel more intimate.

So Far So Good includes songs about struggling relationships and isolation, in addition to several experimental tracks that see The Chainsmokers dabbling with new beats, sounds and instruments.

In Too Deep” is one of those tracks, featuring just vocals and guitars as Andrew sings about asking out a girl he thinks is ‘the one.’  Another interesting track is “If You’re Serious,” which leans closer to alt-pop with its 80s-like synths and guitar scratches.

There are some tracks on the album that will appease the duo’s original fans, “Something Different,” “I Love U” and “Solo Mission,” which are more anthemic in nature and utilize heavy synths over a pounding beat.  “I Love U” also has a music video, starring Andrew and rumored girlfriend Stella Barey, as well as Alex Pall, all dancing in the club and overall having a good time.

So Far So Good is now available to stream and purchase.

We have new releases from two-thirds of the Trinity of Terror tour.

Motionless in White has dropped a new song called “Slaughterhouse,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, Scoring the End of the World.

“Slaughterhouse” features guest vocals from Bryan Garris of the hardcore punk outfit Knocked Loose. You can listen to it now via digital outlets alongside the previously released Scoring the End of the World songs “Masterpiece” and “Cyberhex.”

Scoring the End of the World will arrive in full on June 10.

Meanwhile, Black Veil Brides have premiered the video for “Born Again,” a track off the band’s new album The Phantom Tomorrow.

The clip, streaming now on YouTube, includes intense performance footage cut with imagery reflecting the Phantom Tomorrow concept.

“We show a bit of what goes on in the ‘9th Circle,’ which is the location in our Phantom Tomorrow storyline that exists as a plane of existence outside of reality,” shares frontman Andy Biersack. “It’s a more esoteric version of a fire-and-brimstone afterlife, but one that is directly attacking your daily life.”

Motionless in White and Black Veil Brides kicked off the Terror of Trinity tour this past March alongside Ice Nine Kills. The triple-headlining outing concluded in April.
