Harry Styles continues to make history with “As It Was.” The song is now the fourth longest-running #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song has notched an impressive 14th week in the top spot and is now tied with seven other major hits. Among the numerous songs to amass over three months in the #1 spot are Mariah Carey‘s 2005 hit “We Belong Together,” Whitney Houston‘s 1992 smash “I Will Always Love You” and “Candle in the Wind 1997″/”Something About the Way You Look Tonight” by Elton John.
Other hits include “Uptown Funk,” “Macarena,” Boys II Men’s “I’ll Make Love to You” and The Black Eyed Peas‘ 2009 song “I Gotta Feeling.”
To further boil this down, Harry is only one of four solo artists to have a song reign for 14 weeks, as all other entries come from music groups or collaborations.
Harry has a ways to go before besting Lil Nas X‘s record-smashing “Old Town Road,” which ruled the chart for 19 weeks.
Harry released “As It Was” in April and the song has spent 23 of its total 24 weeks on the chart in either the #1 or #2 position — more weeks than any other song. Previously, Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI‘s “Stay” made history after spending a record 22 weeks in the top and second-highest spots.
It should also be noted “As It Was” is the only song to have spent its first 23 weeks in the Hot 100’s top three spots.
Over the past week, fans streamed the single 14.4 million times and purchased 3,000 copies.
Before Lizzo hit it big, she struggled with being homeless and lived in her car. In a new question and answer session with fans on TikTok, one asked how she stayed positive during that difficult time.
“I didn’t stay positive. It was really hard,” the Grammy winner emotionally admitted. “There were times when I was in that position when it was like, there was really no way out.”
“I didn’t know what my life was going to be [and] what it was going to amount to. More than scared, I was just — I felt broken,” Lizzo confessed.
The Emmy winner noted that she didn’t want to end the video on a serious or sad note, so she revealed what “got me out” of that mental spiral. “It was the idea that this was just a part of my story,” said Lizzo. “When I look back at my life, I’m in a better place. I could look back and say, ‘Wow, I survived.'”
She then spoke directly to the fan who asked the personal question, as they said they needed “hope.”
“You’ll get through this,” Lizzo wrote in the caption that was filled with red heart emojis. “This is only part of your journey. You are loved and protected. If this is your lows then imagine the highs.”
She closed by telling the fan, “I believe in you.”
Speaking of Lizzo’s “highs” — she discussed what it’s like to have a Grammy win in a separate video. “It feels the same,” she expressed. “The drive and ambition and belief in myself that I had to have to get to the point – to win an award… I just keep going.”
As for the physical award, she joked, “I do pass it out at parties and make my friends do speeches.”
The singer celebrated the one-year anniversary of her critically acclaimed album, 29, with a show in Glasgow on the European leg of The 29 Tour. She shared a video of the crowd singing along to the title track, which she wrote in the wake of her divorce from Michael Ray in 2020.
“To say I wrote this song out of pain is an understatement … wondering if anyone would ever care about a song that was my heart on my sleeve in the middle of the biggest heartbreak of my life. Then tonight of all nights, hearing the beautiful people of Glasgow sing it back to me, reminded me that from pain comes healing and from healing comes beauty,” she writes alongside the video. “I’ll forever be grateful for the year I was 29.”
The album earned Carly a win for Female Vocalist of the Year, and a nomination for Album of the Year, at the 2021 CMA Awards, in addition to winning Female Artist of the Year at the 2022 ACM Awards.
Her duet with Ashley McBryde, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl,” which is featured on the album, became a #1 hit and was named Music Event of the Year at the 2022 ACM Awards.

“I’m wide awake and playing back our history/Ain’t never felt nothing like this/This is a midnight crisis,” they sing in a video showing them performing onstage.
“Midnight Crisis” arrives as Jordan’s current single, “What My World Spins Around,” is climbing the top 20 on country radio.

Derek Hough is not only excited Dancing with the Stars‘ new season is going live on the Disney+ streaming service Monday night — he’s counting down the days until Michael Bublé Night.
“I directed Michael Bublé’s video ‘Higher’ earlier this year. We’ve become really good friends,” the dancing professional told ET Canada. “I had said to him, ‘Dude. I want to thank you. Your music has been so important to the dance community.'”
By that, Hough means, “Whenever we are at a loss and can’t find a song, I’m like, ‘Well, what’s Michael Bublé got? Let’s go down and look at his catalog.’ You will always find a great song to dance to.”
To thank the Canadian crooner for all he’s done, Hough invited him to “come on the show” for a night dedicated to his music.
The Grammy winner was in. “I called up the producers and said, ‘Guys, we have to do Michael Bublé Night. He’s hilarious and so much fun, and he’s down,'” Hough said.
Hough cannot wait to sit behind the judges table with his buddy, adding, “He’s going to judge. He’s going to perform. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Michael Bublé Night takes place October 24. To further hype fans for the adventure, Michael revealed on Instagram, “I’m running a dance contest with my boy @derekhough ANY skill level can enter.”
To enter, share a video of yourself dancing to Michael’s song “Higher” on the contest’s website. The grand prize winner will be flown to LA to have a private dance lesson with Hough and see the DWTS season finale on November 21 — among other cool prizes.
The new season of DWTS premieres Monday at 8 p.m. ET on Disney+.
Lil Nas X decided to combat hate with kindness — and comedy — when protesters showed up at his concert in Boston. Instead of ridiculing the critics, he decided to feed them and fall in love.
The Grammy winner took over MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park on Sunday night and shared footage of the small protest outside of the venue. “Just told my team to send them pizza,” he wrote and cheekily added, “this is really good promo!”
The protesters were allegedly religious and were attacking the singer’s sexuality and calling upon his fans to repent.
Lil Nas X later revealed the protesters weren’t interested in the free meal and shared footage of the naysayers thanking him for the gesture. “Update: they didn’t want the pizza,” he announced before admitting one attractive critic did catch his eye. “I accidentally fell in love with one of the homophobic protestors.”
The video slows down to focus in on a protestor wearing a “Christ’s Forgiveness Ministries” T-shirt.
A fan joked, “suddenly i agree with them” in terms of the good-looking protestor. “Yeah they kinda have a point,” the “Star Walkin'” singer replied.
When the protests ended after the show, Nas added, “I miss him already.”
