Jax‘s song “Victoria’s Secret,” which skewers the pressure society places on women to conform to a certain body type, is a huge hit. And while people keep on asking her how she’s going to follow it up, she says she could literally quit right now and be perfectly happy.

That’s because, thanks to the success of “Victoria’s Secret,” Jax got to perform at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday night, and for the New Jersey-born singer, it was the greatest night of her life.

“I keep getting that question, like, ‘Hey, what’s next?’ And I feel like I just peaked!” she told ABC Audio backstage. “I just played the Garden and I had people singing the song that I wrote in a tiny little room.”

But still, she must have goals, right?  “I dunno…I’d like to meet more people,” she said. “I’d like to go on tour. And I have lots of other songs…so I hope that people keep listening.”

“And if not, whatever!” she laughed. “‘Cause this is really freakin’ cool!”

On the personal side, Jax said she’s touched at the way “Victoria’s Secret” has helped people love themselves for who they are.  Looking at her TikTok feed, she says she sees “every different shape and body type in the entire world…singing my songs and healing together…and making fun of the system.”

However, she revealed that one of the “really crazy” side effects of her song’s success has been having “girl dads” ask her for advice.

“Dads…reach out to me and they’re like, ‘Hey, my daughter’s turning into a teenager. And…there’s some awkward conversations I don’t know how to address. And it’s weird for me,'” she laughs. “So, like, that side of things, I feel really cool about!”

In 2011, Scott Weiland released a holiday album called The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Over a decade later — and seven years after the Stone Temple Pilots frontman’s death in 2015 — the compilation has received the deluxe reissue treatment, complete with previously unreleased recordings.

Speaking with ABC Audio, Weiland’s daughter Lucy shares that she thinks the reissue would’ve been “very exciting” for her father.

“My dad absolutely loved Christmas,” Lucy shares. “That was his favorite holiday. It was always a big thing for our family.”

Aside from its stylistic sonic departure from his work with STP and Velvet Revolver, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year showcases a uniquely earnest and sincere aspect of Scott’s voice.

“I feel like he really put his heart and soul into it, just because it’s something that we all loved,” Lucy says.

For Lucy, listening to The Most Wonderful Time of the Year can be “a little bit hard,” especially since Scott passed away in early December, but it still brings her “a lot of comfort.”

“We like to listen to the album mainly on Christmas morning, ’cause that’s when we would be spending time with him,” Lucy says. “It just kinda feels like he’s there with us when we are listening to it on Christmas, as if he’s opening presents with us and celebrating the day with us.”

Upon the announcement of the reissue, a press release described it as the “first posthumous music to be released from the Weiland vault,” and Lucy confirms that there’s more material to come.

“There’s definitely some exciting stuff coming within the next year,” Lucy affirms. “I think that’s something that the fans should definitely keep their eye out for.”

The reissue of The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is out now.

Peter Frampton explains how David Bowie gave him his “credibility” back

Peter Frampton recently finished up the 2022 dates of his farewell tour, after announcing a few years ago that he’ll be retiring from the road due to a degenerative muscle condition.  He sat with Guitar World for a wide-ranging interview about his career, in which he discusses his struggles with his ’70s-era fame, and how David Bowie saved his career.

After 1976’s Frampton Comes Alive made him one of the world’s biggest stars, Frampton says that after the follow-up, 1977’s I’m In You, “I could feel it slipping away…I started to lose a lot of audience…I felt like I was in a sinking ship.” As the ’80s arrived, Frampton admits he wasn’t making his best work, and he wasn’t having much commercial success, either. But in 1986, things turned around for him — and he gives the credit to Bowie, his old schoolmate.

“I did a record for Atlantic called Premonition,” he tells Guitar World. “It still wasn’t a great record…but that’s the album David Bowie listened to…he said, ‘Can you come and play some guitar for me?’”

Frampton ended up playing on Bowie’s 1987 album Never Let Me Down, and then joined him on his Glass Spider tour.

“He could have chosen anybody…but he chose me. I can never thank him enough for that,” admits Frampton. Rather than missing the spotlight, he says being a sideman is his “comfy chair,” explaining, “I’ve always been more comfortable playing guitar, not singing.”

He notes, “David inviting me to do the album and tour changed my credibility; I got my credibility back that I felt I’d lost when I’m In You came out. I’m a musician first and foremost. David gave me back that credibility to continue and bring people back to me.”

On Friday, Cher tweeted that her heart was breaking for her “beloved friend, sister” Tina Turner, whose son Ronnie passed away at age 62. But on Saturday, Cher found herself mourning a loss: Her beloved mother, Georgia Holt, had passed away at age 96.

“Mom is gone,” the legendary entertainer tweeted.  No details were provided, but back in September, Cher had tweeted that her mother had been in the hospital with pneumonia.

Holt, a singer, actress and model born Jackie Jean Crouch, had appeared in classic TV shows like The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and I Love Lucy, as well as movies like 1950’s A Life of Her Own and 1951’s Father’s Little Dividend.

She was married and divorced a total of six times in her life, including to Cher’s father, John Sarkisian, who she was married to from 1946 to 1947. They remarried in 1965, but divorced in 1966. She was in a relationship from 1976 until her death with Craig Spencer.

A singer since childhood, Holt recorded a country album, Honky Tonk Woman, in 1980. Featuring a duet with Cher, it wasn’t released until 2013. That same year, she was the subject of a Lifetime documentary called Dear Mom, Love Cher.

In addition to Cher, Holt is survived by her other daughter, Georganne LaPiere, and her two grandchildren: Cher’s children Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman.

Harry Styles didn’t skip a beat when a fan rushed the stage during his show in Brazil. NME reports a fan ran onto the stage while Harry was singing “What Makes You Beautiful,” but security quickly tackled the intruder. “Well, that was different,” Harry quipped while thanking security before joking, “I’m shooketh! I’m shooketh!”

Speaking of Harry, the singer is dealing with fans of The Strokes saying he stole the indie band’s sound to make “As It Was.” Ex Olivia Wilde has seemingly weighed in on the matter: Daily Mail snapped photos of her wearing a Strokes T-shirt to the gym. She and Harry went their separate ways last month after two years of dating.

Selena Gomez is rocking some colorful new hair and shared a TikTok of her using a public restroom’s hand dryer to air out her rainbow-colored locks. “You gotta do what you gotta do,” she captioned the clip.

Kelly Clarkson is seemingly the only singer who can convince Catherine Zeta-Jones to record a Christmas album. The actress appeared on Kelly’s talk show and declared, “With you, I would [make one]. I’ll come and sing with you any day.”

Bad Bunny announced he is sitting out 2023 to focus on his health. “I’m taking a break. 2023 is for me, for my physical health, my emotional health to breathe, enjoy my achievements,” he told Billboard. He added, “I have a couple of sporadic commitments, and I’ll go to the studio, but there’s no pressure.”

Stranger Things star Sadie Sink said on Live with Kelly and Ryan that she had “no clue” Kate Bush‘s “Running Up That Hill” would blow up the way it did. She saw the song as “my little secret” after it topped her year-end playlists. Then the song became a viral hit: “I was not expecting that at all.”

Jon Langston co-stars with “Santa” in the music video for his holiday song, “I Only Want You For Christmas.” The clip, appropriately enough, was filmed at Nashville dive Santa’s Pub.

Billy Ray Cyrus has joined the cast of animated Christmas movie Glisten and the Merry Mission, co-starring Chevy Chase and Freddie Prinze Jr.
