Luke Combs is known for throwing unreleased songs on social media to gauge fan interest and was at it again this week: The singer posted a video clip of himself performing part of a new song called “Tattoo on a Sunburn.”

Nostalgic and bittersweet, the song centers around a tattoo that serves as a permanent reminder of a love that disappeared long ago.

“The hum and the buzz and the sting of that needle / Faded away but I guess some people never do / Losing you’s the only thing worse / Than a tattoo on a sunburn,” Luke sings.

He also tested the waters with fans, writing, “Y’all want me to release this one?”

Luke hasn’t released much new music in recent months, as he’s been busy with his fall 2022 The Middle of Somewhere Tour, as well as adjusting to life as a new dad to baby Tex. It’s the first taste of new music he’s shared since the June 2022 release of his third studio album, Growin’ Up.

Luke also recently announced a 2023 world tour, which he is planning to kick off in March.

Selena Gomez doesn’t appreciate being body-shamed and responded to a TikToker claiming she was “always skinny” when she dated Justin Bieber. The on-again, off-again pair famously dated between 2010 and 2018.

The video referenced a prior claim that Selena once said on Instagram she was “too normal” for Justin and that he preferred models. The video shared old snaps of Selena and captioned it, “The reason why Selena is always skinny when she dates Justin… He rathers models..My poor baby.”

Selena soon caught wind of the video and succinctly responded with a sad face emoji.

Selena has previously spoken out about being body-shamed for her fluctuating weight, which she said is a result of her lupus, kidney issues and other health problems. She also recently took to TikTok to shade those who are unhappy with her weight by saying she is perfect the way she is.

In other Selena news, Dove Cameron told Buzzfeed the singer was so helpful to her during her Disney Channel days. Dove starred on Liv and Maddie between 2013 and 2017.

”[Selena] gave me some advice on what not to do, and definitely things to do,” she recalled. “For a couple months following that I would text her in a panic, being like, ‘I don’t know what to do, I’ve never done this before!’ And she’s like, ‘Be yourself, everybody wants you to be yourself. You’re gonna kill it.’ That was really important to me.”

Iggy Pop has shared a new song called “Strung Out Johnny,” a track off his upcoming album, Every Loser.

The tune finds the Godfather of Punk singing lines including “God made me a junkie/But Satan told me so” over a dark, ’80s-esque sound. You can listen to “Strung Out Johnny” now via digital outlets.

“Strung Out Johnny” is the second track to be released from Every Loser, following the lead single “Frenzy,”  which gave Iggy the new Billboard record for longest gap between appearances on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

Every Loser arrives January 6. The album was produced by Andrew Watt and features Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Blink-182‘s Travis Barker, Jane’s Addiction‘s Dave Navarro and Eric Avery, Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard, ex-RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Lewis Capaldi jokes he has “a gripe to grind” with Michael Bublé

Lewis Capaldi admits he has learned one of the biggest lessons the music industry can give: Don’t release new music around Christmastime.

The singer just released his new song “Pointless,” which he co-wrote with Ed Sheeran. Unfortunately, the song isn’t following the same trajectory his other new song, “Forget Me,” had on the charts.

Lewis jokingly lamented to Metro.co.uk, “No one told me that it was probably a bad idea to release a song at Christmas, a song that has no reference to Christmas.” Because “Pointless” is devoid of any holiday spirit, he quipped, “We’re really being hammered in the charts by Christmas songs.”

“Not that it matters, but you know, these record labels want some money,” Lewis continued before zeroing his sights on one of the biggest movers and shakers in Christmas music: Canadian crooner Michael Bublé.

“If anyone sees Michael Bublé, you let him know I’m looking for him,” Lewis declared. “I’ve got a gripe to grind with Mr. Bublé!”

Currently, Lewis is sitting in 20th place on the British music charts, while Bublé is in the top 10.

So far, Michael has not responded to Lewis’ challenge. The Scottish singer also didn’t elaborate on what he intends to do if he ever crosses paths with Michael Bublé, but he did perform a “spot-on impression” for the outlet.

(Note Language) SZA‘s highly anticipated return album, SOS, is resonating with fans, so much so it has tied a chart record held by Cardi B.

According to Chart Data, songs from SOS occupied the entire top 10 of U.S. Apple Music on its release day, Friday, December 9. The project now ties Cardi’s debut Invasion of Privacy as the female album with the most top-10 hits in U.S. Apple Music’s history; they have 13 songs each.

In addition, SOS, the follow-up to Ctrl, garnered 68 million streams on Spotify, breaking the record for biggest single-day streams for an R&B album in the platform’s history, Chart Data reports.

If Hits Daily Double‘s projections are true, SZA’s on track to secure her first #1 album on the Billboard 200, with 275,000 to 300,000 album-equivalent units earned in its first week.

According to SZA, SOS is “about heartbreak, it’s about revenge, it’s about being pissed.” “I’ve never raged the way that I should have. This is my villain era, and I’m very comfortable with that,” she told Glamour. “It is in the way I say no, it’s in the way I’m deciding what I’m taking, what I’m not taking. It’s in the f***ed up things that I don’t apologize for.”

SZA added, “I am a b**** — it’s not all the time, but when I am, that’s OK. I don’t have to spend my whole life trying to be a nice girl. It’s just not who I am. But I am a good person.”

Pantera bassist Rex Brown missed the band’s performance at Knotfest Chile over the weekend.

In a statement obtained by Metal Hammer, festival organizers announced that Brown was unable to play the show due to “health problems.”

That seems to be backed up by an Instagram post from drummer Charlie Benante, which reads, “We missed Rex tonight, get better buddy!”

According to Setlist.fm, Derek Engemann and Bobby Landgraf played bass in Brown’s place. Engemann plays in vocalist’s Phil Anselmo‘s Illegals band, while Landgraf previously played guitar in Down.

The Knotfest Chile show was part of Pantera’s first tour with the reformed lineup of longtime members Anselmo and Brown alongside Anthrax‘s Benante and Black Label Society‘s Zakk Wylde in place of the late Abbott brothers, Vinnie Paul and “Dimebag” Darrell, respectively. The tour is scheduled to continue Monday with a headlining show in Chile.

Adele opens up about needing therapy following divorce from Simon Konecki

Adele revealed she struggled with her mental health after she and ex-husband Simon Konecki divorced in 2019.

During her Weekends with Adele residency in Las Vegas, the singer said she required daily trips to the therapist.

According to a fan-captured videos, the singer told the audience during a recent show, “I started having therapy again, right? Because I went a few years without. I needed to start.”

“When I was going through my divorce, I was basically, like, doing five therapy sessions a day,” she continued with a laugh. As for why she restarted therapy, the singer revealed, “I stopped holding myself accountable for my own behavior and the things that I would say. And that’s because I would always fall back on my therapist.”

She said her therapist would help her understand her reactions or responses to certain things, which helped her understand where she needed to improve. “Now I’m doing it because I wanna make sure that I’m now topping myself up every week to make sure I can give you everything,” Adele explained.

Apparently, she dreads performing for large shows and is now relying on her therapist to help her work through her fears. “There is something about performing live that actually terrifies me and fills me with dread,” she confessed, but assured fans she loves what she does.

She also hinted she prefers residencies over touring and told the audience she just might continue doing shows like Weekends with Adele “for the rest of my life.”

Adele and Konecki were first romantically linked in 2011 and wed in 2018, but separated the following year. They share a 10-year-old son named Angelo

Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim Commerford has shared that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer shortly before the band launched their reunion tour earlier this year.

“Right before I was about to go on tour with Rage, I had my prostate removed, and I have prostate cancer,” Commerford reveals in an interview with Spin.

The 54-year-old says his cancer battle has been emotionally and physically difficult.

“Prostate cancer is a very, very, very tough one because it’s connected to your sexuality,” Commerford says. “It’s hard to disconnect from that and when you’re forced into that situation, it’s a brutal psychological journey. I’ve been trying to find support groups, and it’s hard to find people and hard to talk about it.”

He adds, “The suffering part of it, the physical suffering after the surgery, I’ve never felt pain quite like that.”

Commerford describes his current condition as having to “hold your breath for six months” in between check-ins.

“I just got my six-month test, and it came back at zero,” Commerford shares. “I was like, ‘F*** yeah!’ That’s the best I can feel for the rest of my life.”

“Every day I get closer to that test is like, ‘F*** man, is this going to be the time when the number is going to go up and I’m going to the next thing, whatever that is?'” he continues. “I already went through some pain and s***.”

Despite the diagnosis, Commerford played throughout Rage’s U.S. tour over the summer. The subsequent trip to the United Kingdom and Europe and a planned 2023 North American leg were canceled due to an Achilles tendon injury frontman Zack de la Rocha suffered onstage during the first leg.

Meanwhile, Commerford just launched a new band called 7D7D.
