“This time things went a little too far”: Britney Spears asks fans to respect her privacy

Britney Spears is asking fans to respect her privacy — and also addressed the situation in which police went to her home after concerned fans requested a wellness check.

The singer shared a statement to Twitter regarding what happened: “As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.”

Britney continued, “The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately.”

“This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media,” she wrote. “During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward.”

Sources from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department previously told ABC News that deputies responded to the singer’s home Tuesday, January 24, for a “check the wellbeing” call.

This incident came shortly after Britney had deactivated her Instagram, which she has done many times before. Fans may have been concerned by the timing since it happened after TMZ reported on a “meltdown” she had at an upscale California restaurant.

Both Britney and her husband, Sam Asghari, in addition to restaurant workers who claimed to have been there, dismissed the report.

Rod Stewart is so fed up with the British health system that he’s opening up his own wallet to help people in need. The rocker made a surprise call into Sky News Thursday following a report about people stuck on National Health Service waiting lists to get their yearly health scans.

Rod said that he recently went for his yearly scans; he was late to the appointment, but because he was going to a private health clinic, it was no big deal because the clinic was “empty.” Calling the whole waiting list ridiculous, he offered to “pay for 10 or 20 scans, or however much it takes.”

“I don’t know how we’re (going to) work this out and, hopefully, some other people will follow, because it seems ridiculous that this particular scanning clinic was empty,” he said. “There are people dying because they cannot get scans.”

Rod said he was not doing this for the publicity, offering, “I just want to do some good things and this, I think, it’s a good thing, because if other people follow me, I’d love it.”

Miranda Lambert marks four years of wedded bliss on January 26.

“Celebrating 4 years married today with my main squeeze @brendanjmcloughlin,” she shared on her socials Thursday. “Happy anniversary babe! You are the best.”

In the accompanying photos, Miranda and Brendan McLoughlin are standing on a balcony overlooking the beach. In the first picture, she’s beaming, wearing pink shorts and a pink bandana, showing off her wedding ring, as her hubby kisses her on the cheek.

In subsequent snapshots, the former New York City policeman sheds his shirt, which has become a bit of a running gag with the couple.

“Y’all are welcome for the last two pics,” ‘Randa slyly adds.

The “Settling Down” hitmaker has indicated she doesn’t plan to tour much this year, outside of her extensive Vegas residency. Her first cookbook, Y’all Eat Yet?, is set to arrive April 25.

Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock reveals the downside to touring with Iggy Pop

The Sex Pistols‘ original bassist, Glen Matlock, has performed with various artists over the years, including touring with Iggy Pop in the ’70s. In a new interview with the UK Times, he reveals there was one major downside to touring with Iggy.

Seems Iggy liked to flash the crowd, and Matlock pretty much had enough of it.

“The problem with flashing your willy on stage is that you have to get ready to flash your willy on stage,” he shares. “And he always did it in front of me. I got a bit fed up with seeing it, to be honest.”

He added, “It’s not that impressive.”

Matlock also reveals he wasn’t a big fan of PistolDanny Boyle’s 2022 miniseries about the Sex Pistols, noting, “I was highly disappointed. John (Lydon) tried to stop it, I think because it was based on Steve’s (Jones) book and not his, and its portrayal of my leaving the band was totally not true.”

(NOTE LANGUAGE) Cordae just dropped his Anderson .Paak-assisted and J. Cole-produced single “Two Tens,” but according to the rapper, he and .Paak have a lot more songs over Cole’s beats in the vault.

“We literally got a mix tape full of joints of me and .Paak on — well, we got an EP full of joints with me, .Paak and Cole beats,” he said in an interview with Apple Music 1. “It’s because this is really my friend. Other artists be like, ‘Ph that’s my brother,’ or, ‘Oh that’s my man,’ saying that sh** just to sound cool. I don’t really have too many friends, to be honest. He’s one of my real-life, genuine friends.”

Beyond that, Cordae claims he’s holding on to nearly 200 songs, all of which he recorded in 2022.

“I think last year I recorded literally 180 songs. I know some artists record like a thousand songs, but it feels like that’s the most songs I recorded in the year, for sure,” he said. “Last year, it was also the most touring I did, so I’m proud of myself for still recording 180 songs.”

“Two Tens” is now available on streaming services.
