The Human League has announced dates for The Generations Tour, featuring special guests Soft Cell and Alison Moyet.

The 21-date tour will launch June 2 in San Diego. It will hit big cities like Los Angeles, Dallas, Nashville, Chicago, New York and Philadelphia before wrapping July 2 in Niagara, Ontario, Canada.

“Since our debut in 1980, we have always enjoyed an awesome welcome in America and we’re really thrilled to be embarking on a coast-to-coast tour of the U.S. in 2026,” says Philip Oakey of The Human League.

“The opportunity to tour with The Human League is just incredible,” Soft Cell’s Marc Almond adds. “They are legendary and I know they will do an unforgettable show.” He notes, “Alison Moyet is such a talented artist and a wonderful singer. Honestly, it will be an absolute honor to be part of the bill with these artists.”

“I am honored to have been invited to share a stage on this tour with The Human League and Soft Cell,” Moyet says. “Stunning artists that reframed our music scene and by cutting their own shapes, made it possible for people like me to launch.”

Ticket presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

All three artists rose to fame in the ’80s. The Human League is best known for their #1 hit “Don’t You Want Me,” while Soft Cell had a breakout hit with “Tainted Love.” Moyet had success in the ’80s as part of the synth-pop duo Yaz, known for such songs as “Only You,” “Don’t Go” and “Situation.”

If you were holding out for a Kenny Chesney stadium tour this year, it doesn’t look like that’s in the cards for 2026.

The good news is that the superstar is adding half a dozen July shows to his residency at Sphere Las Vegas, but that means they’ll be his only headlining dates this summer.

“Beyond how different it was, there was all the fun,” he says of his 2025 run. “Seeing all the faces, plus all the crazy things we could do with the sound and visuals, I knew well before we finished, we were coming back and taking all of it even further.”

“With all the work that’s going into changing up over half the show, adding more songs we might not be able to play in stadiums, pulling some surprises, five shows weren’t going to be enough,” he adds.

The previously announced concerts run June 19-27, while the six new dates span July 1-11.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. PT.

The legendary Dolly Parton turned 80 on Monday, and she received a special birthday surprise from U2 frontman Bono.

Dolly shared an Instagram video of bagpiper Pat Darcy playing “Happy Birthday” in a conference room, as a cake reading “Love Bono” was brought in. She then blew out all the candles, joking, “I did it!”

“Now that’s what you call a surprise!” Dolly wrote in the caption. “This old bag sure feels the love! Thank you, Bono and @u2 for making my birthday extra special.”

In the video, Dolly tells Darcy, “Well, thank you. I saw that cake said, ‘From Bono,’ so he must have sent you as a present to me. Well, thank you guys. I appreciate all of you.”

Darcy replies, “It’s an absolute delight to be here on behalf of the whole band.”

Darcy also posted about the experience on his Instagram, writing, “This morning I had the pleasure of playing a few tunes, on behalf of Bono and the boys, for Dolly Parton for her 80th birthday.” He added, “I also presented her with a pint of Guinness. There was even time for a nice chat.”

“She was exactly who you’d hope she’d be,” he concluded. “Happy 80th Birthday Dolly!”
