On This Day, April 27, 1952…

Paul Daniel Frehley, better known as KISS guitarist and co-founder Ace Frehley, was born in the Bronx, New York.

Frehley co-founded KISS with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Peter Criss in New York City in 1973. They released their self-titled debut in 1974 and began to gain a following thanks to their live shows, which included face paint, wild stage outfits and plenty of pyrotechnics. Frehley’s costumed stage persona with the band was The Spaceman.

Their breakthrough came after the release of 1975’s Alive!, a double live album that featured live recordings from their first three records. It peaked at #9 on the Billboard chart and sold over 9 million copies worldwide.

KISS went on to become one of the bestselling bands of all time, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

Frehley passed away Oct. 18, 2025, at the age of 74.

Having made their debut at Saturday Night Live in January, Geese has now achieved another career milestone in their hometown of New York City.

The “Cobra” outfit took the mound Sunday at Citi Field in Queens to throw out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of a New York Mets game.

Geese posted footage of the pitch to their Instagram Story, along with the caption, “Absolutely honored.”

Unfortunately, Geese’s presence did not keep the Mets from, ahem, Getting Killed. The team, which endured a 12-game losing streak earlier in April, lost both of their doubleheader games Sunday against the visiting Colorado Rockies.

Geese will return to Queens in October to headline Forest Hills Stadium as part of their fall Getting Killed Again tour, which begins in September. Presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

While Bruce Springsteen has been very vocal about his opposition to President Donald Trump and his administration, especially on his current Land of Hope and Dreams American tour, he told fans at his concert Sunday in Austin, Texas, that he does not wish him any harm.

Fan-shot video posted to social media reveals that during the show, Springsteen spoke out against the incident at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, D.C., Saturday night.

“We begin tonight with a prayer for our men and women in service overseas, we pray for their safe return,” Springsteen told the crowd. “We also send out a prayer of thanks that our president, nor anyone in the administration, nor anyone attending, was injured at last night’s incident at the press correspondents’ dinner.”

“We can disagree. We can be critical of those in power, and we can peacefully fight for our beliefs,” he said. “But there is no place in any way, shape, or form for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States.”

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band next bring their Land of Hope and Dreams American tour to Chicago on Wednesday. The tour runs through May 27 in Washington, D.C. A complete list of dates can be found at BruceSpringsteen.net.

Teddy Swims brought Van Halen’s David Lee Roth along for his third trip to the desert over the weekend.

Roth previously joined Swims to perform Van Halen’s “Jump” for both weekends of Coachella, and on Saturday the two took the stage during Swims’ Stagecoach Festival performance.

Like Coachella, Stagecoach took place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Prior to the performance, Swims told Good Morning America that Roth has been “so generous” to him.

“He’s like, ‘Man, I’ll follow you on tour and get up there every night if you want,’” Swims said. “He’s the freakin’ man. Van Halen’s my favorite band. He’s the best singer of all time.”

As for how they became friends, Swims says Roth was rehearsing near him a few weeks ago and he got to hang with him.

“He was so gracious to share his rum and cokes with me and talk to me about all his crazy stories, and I asked if he wanted to come play with me,” he explained. “He’s the coolest guy in the world. And on and off stage he’s always, like, on. He’s really, what you see on stage is what you get, like all the time, 24 hours a day. He’s a real rock star.”

Cody Johnson added some rock and rhythm & blues to his first headlining set at Stagecoach on Friday.

Jay Buchanan, the lead singer of Cody’s favorite rock band, Rival Sons, joined him onstage to do their Amazon Music Original, “Rabbit Gets the Gun,” which came out just days before.

Cody still had more surprises, welcoming a cappella harmony legends Boyz II Men for a collab on their 1994 smash “On Bended Knee.” The trio is no stranger to country collabs, having teamed up with Brett Young for an episode of CMT Crossroads in 2019 and singing with him at the Ryman in March.

Cody’s up for entertainer of the year at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards May 17 in Las Vegas, ahead of the June 26 release of his new album, Banks of the Trinity

Foo Fighters made their debut on Saturday Night Live UK over the weekend.

Dave Grohl and company performed two songs off their brand-new album, Your Favorite Toy: “Child Actor” and “Caught in the Echo.”

The show featured the return of guitarist Pat Smear to the live Foo Fighters lineup. He’d missed performances earlier in 2026 after he was injured in what the band called a “bizarre gardening accident.”

SNL UK, the British spinoff of the long-running NBC sketch show, is available to watch in the U.S. on Peacock.

Foo Fighters have performed on the U.S. SNL nine times as the official musical guest. They also appeared as a special guest of Mick Jagger for an episode in 2012.

Foo Fighters will play a one-off show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Tuesday, followed by headlining sets at the Welcome to Rockville and BottleRock Napa festivals in May. They’ll launch a full North American stadium tour in August.

Megan Thee Stallion’s relationship with NBA baller Klay Thompson has come to an end. She hinted at the split over the weekend via an Instagram Story, where she listed some of the alleged issues that led to their breakup.

“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet,’” the text began. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’????”

She continued, “b**** I need a REAL break after this one .. by yall.”

Megan later confirmed the breakup in a statement to Billboard“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Meg first hard launched her relationship with Klay in July when they attended Meg’s inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation gala. At the time, she told People he was the “nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.” She also echoed similar sentiments in an interview with Page Six.

“I have never dated somebody so kind. This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy,” she said. “I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”

During their relationship, Meg was often seen supporting him at basketball games. She also shared glimpses of their quality time together golfing, working out, cooking and spending time with his family for the holidays.
