Russell Dickerson has unveiled the music video for his romantic single, “God Gave Me A Girl.”

The moving visualizer features Russell performing the track as a fictional couple faces seemingly insurmountable tribulations together. Fortunately, the video ends on a happy note as the husband and wife share happy tears and smiles, with a kid of their own.

“My wife Kailey inspired this song, so it’s definitely very special to me,” says Russell, who wrote the track with Ashley Gorley, Chase McGill and Zach Crowell. “I wanted to release a music video that would really match the emotional nature of the song and I think we accomplished that. Can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on!”

“God Gave Me A Girl” is currently #16 and rising on the country charts.

Russell’s headlining Big Wheels & Back Roads Tour begins September 21 in Philadelphia. For a full list of dates and tickets, visit russelldickerson.com.

Travis Barker is adding some new ink.

In a since-expired Instagram Story captured by E! News, the Blink-182 drummer posted a photo of a fresh tattoo on his wrist reading, “Time Flies.”

The photo didn’t include any other context on the meaning of the tattoo, but E! notes it could be related to Barker’s return to flying on airplanes with the help of wife Kourtney Kardashian. Barker had long stopped flying after he was involved in a 2008 plane crash, which killed four of the six people onboard. Along with Barker, the other survivor was Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, who died a year later from a drug overdose.

Barker reportedly took his first flight since the crash in 2021 with Kardashian.

Meanwhile, Barker and Kardashian are expecting their first child together. Kardashian revealed the news during a June Blink concert with a reference to the “All the Small Things” video.

Usher had fans on the internet in a frenzy after he dropped a snippet to a new music video featuring none other than Keke Palmer as the main girl.

In the short clip for “Boyfriend,” shared to Instagram Tuesday, August 15, both Usher and Keke are featured in a montage of scenes taken from the video.

“When fantasies become reality,” he captioned the post along with the song and video release date of Wednesday, August 16.

The announcement follows the viral exchange between the two entertainers after Usher serenaded Keke onstage during a show part of his Las Vegas residency. Once the clip made its rounds on social media, Keke’s boyfriend, Darius Jackson, publicly condemned her for her outfit choice, and as many fans suggest, her participation in the show.

“This is MENACE BEHAVIOR,” said comedian Kevin Fredericks who commented on Usher’s post along with a few laughing emojis.

Some pointed to the singer’s use of “genius marketing,” while others referenced lyrics to Usher’s hit 2001 song, “U Don’t Have to Call.”

“Don’t leave your girl round me, true playa for real,” fans wrote.

Keke took part in announcing the news by sharing the video teaser to her IG account and including a simple caption of “8.16.”

Lauren London paid tribute to late rapper Nipsey Hussle on what would’ve been his 38th birthday.

“Honoring the day you blessed the Earth with your presence. Forever more,” she wrote on Instagram August 15, alongside a photo of the rapper.

London and Nipsey dated for six years before he was shot and killed outside of his Marathon Clothing store in LA on March 31, 2019.

Over the course of the last four years, London has taken to social media multiple times with sentimental posts in honor of her partner.

On the fourth anniversary of his death in March, the actress penned an emotional tribute to Nipsey, writing, ”I hold my breath all of March knowing I have to face the memory of the day you transitioned.”

“Holding on to ancient wisdom but the pain is the pain and nothing was ever the same,” she said, adding, “Eternal Being Ermias Asghedom I Love You.”

On what would’ve been his 37th birthday last year, Nipsey was posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“I think I speak for the entire city of L.A. when I say that we’ve always known that Hussle was destined for greatness,” London said at the dedication ceremony. “Nip would’ve been honored by this moment.”

In February, Eric Holder was sentenced to 60 years to life for the murder of Nipsey, who was 33 when he died as a result of the shooting.

Aerosmith almost replaced Steven Tyler with Chris Daughtry

Aerosmith is still together and about to set out on their Peace Out farewell tour, but things weren’t always so happy in the band. In fact, back in 2009, Aerosmith had a falling out with frontman Steven Tyler when he left to do American Idol, and the other members almost went on without him.

To do so, they needed someone to replace Tyler; rocker and former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry says Aerosmith’s Joe Perry offered him the gig.

“I get this random call from Joe Perry,” Daughtry said on The Dave Rickards Podcast. “I thought it was a joke at first, but he didn’t even take time to, like, ‘How you doing?’ He just went into his reason for calling me.” Perry told him the band “wanted to work” despite Tyler not being interested, and then he asked, “How would you feel about hitting the road with us?”

Daughtry said the offer left him “speechless,” but he ultimately passed for many reasons. “First of all, I don’t consider myself any caliber of singer that Steven Tyler …He is irreplaceable, in my mind,” he said. “Furthermore, Steven Tyler’s alive. This whole fear of p****** off one of my heroes was just looming.”

While the idea of fronting Aerosmith was “a terrifying concept” to Daughtry, he’s still happy he was asked, sharing, “it is a story that I will hold near and dear for the rest of my life, for sure.”

As for Aerosmith, they eventually reunited with Tyler. Their Peace Out tour, with openers The Black Crowes, kicks off September 2 in Philadelphia. A complete list of dates can be found at aerosmith.com.
