Daughtry has premiered the video for the band’s new single, “Artificial.”

The clip finds scientists doing experiments on frontman Chris Daughtry, only to reveal that they’ve created a cyborg version of him, who promptly exterminates the original. You can watch it now streaming on YouTube.

The single “Artificial” premiered earlier in August. It follows Daughtry’s 2021 album, Dearly Beloved, which spawned the singles “Heavy Is the Crown,” “World on Fire” and “Changes Are Coming.”

This year, Daughtry also released a cover of Journey‘s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” alongside Halestorm‘s Lzzy Hale.

The vast difference between TikTok and Spotify can be seen in the respective platforms’ lists of songs of the summer: there are only three songs that appear on both lists.

For the first time, TikTok has released a list of its U.S. songs of the summer, based on total creations. The winner? “Makeba,” by French artist Jain, which has soundtracked more than 5 million videos. The song, originally released in 2015, went viral on TikTok this summer. But “Makeba” doesn’t appear on Spotify’s songs of the summer list at all.

TikTok’s #2 song is “Barbie World” by Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj and Aqua, which was #14 on Spotify’s list. You’d then have to jump #9 on TikTok’s list to find a song that’s also on Spotify’s list: “fukumean” by Gunna. And TikTok’s #10 song, “Cruel Summer” by Taylor Swift, is #3 on Spotify’s list.

Young Nudy‘s “Peaches & Eggplants,” “Get Off the Wall” by Philly Goats, “Blicky” by Fresh X Reckless, “Buckle Up” by Philly Goats & PGS Spence, “What It Is” by Doechii, and “Pound Town” by Sexxy Red and Tay Keith make up the rest of TikTok’s list.

August 24 was a big day for Ed Sheeran: He announced the September 29 release of his new album, Autumn Variations. He also celebrated the birthday of late British music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards, who died suddenly in 2022. He posted a photo of his pal on his Instagram Story, writing, “Happy birthday bro, we miss you every day x.”

Katy Perry is celebrating the 13th anniversary of her hit album Teenage Dream. The singer shared some throwback photos and video on Instagram to mark the occasion, captioning the post “today #TeenageDream becomes a teen.” Released August 24, 2010, Teenage Dream is only the second album in history, and the first by a woman, to have five #1 singles. The other was Michael Jackson’s Bad.

Adam Levine’s model wife, Behati Prinsloo, is giving fans a glimpse into the couple’s family life, sharing a new carousel of photos on Instagram. The photos include shots of the Maroon 5 star onstage, two of their daughters on a rock climbing wall and video of their baby’s legs in a Beastie Boys onesie.

Jennifer Lopez is showing off her newest look. The singer posted some photos to Instagram, revealing blond highlights. She captioned the shots, “Still got me looking like the baddest…,” tagging the clothing brand A.L.C.

Daughtry has shared the video for their latest single, “Artificial,” their first original song in over two years. Chris Daughtry says the video “is about the potential nightmare that AI could become,” but adds that “the heart and soul of humanity and the ability to feel love, sadness, and compassion can never be replaced.”

ABC/Eric McCandless

Luke Bryan‘s journey to superstardom has been a long one, but he’s grateful to have trekked it with hard work and supportive people in his life.

“For most of my career I went up there going, I got to prove myself. So it’s really liberating and gratifying to just go, I am what I am,” Luke recounts to People in a recent interview. “I earned it the old-fashioned way: working my butt off. A lot of people have propped me up and helped me along the way, and I hope they can enjoy the ride too.”

From launching his debut album in 2007 to now, Luke learned a lot about himself both as an artist and person.

“When I was younger, I wouldn’t have really known who I was as an artist. Back then I was just singing other people’s songs and trying to figure out what I want to be,” he says. “Now I know the main thing is to do your best to tell your story in the most authentic and relatable way.”

“I can’t go back and question any of the stars or fate at how it all shaped out,” he adds. “I look back, and I’m proud of my climb to get here.”

Luke’s currently #12 on the country charts with his latest single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand.”

His Luke Bryan: VEGAS residency kicks back up on August 30. For tickets and a full list of dates, visit rwlasvegas.com.

Eric Clapton pays tribute to the late Robbie Robertson

Eric Clapton is paying tribute to The Band‘s Robbie Robertson, who passed away August 9 at the age of 80.

“The Band to me was amazing because they were all giants,” Clapton shared during an interview with The Real Music Observer. “Every one of them was a giant on his own, and [Robbie] was the visionary. I have no doubt that he wrote all those songs.”

Clapton has said in the past that he wished he could have been in The Band, although he now says he knows it would never have worked, noting, “I was already like, this kind of, celebrity [at the time] and none of them personally, individually, were celebrities.”

“That was their thing – even the name was anonymity,” he explains. “That was also what was magnetic for me because I always wanted anonymity…And if that had been possible to sneak in, even where I’m disguised, and played rhythm guitar then we could have done it. But it was never gonna happen.”

Clapton says he plans to pay tribute to The Band at his upcoming solo shows as well as his two-day Crossroads festival, which featured Robertson on the bill. He says he knows it won’t be easy.

“I know him well enough to know that he was really precise about what he did,” Clapton shares. “It’s so difficult to recreate that kind of on the edge of expression and not making a mistake, not blowing it. It’s really, really difficult.”

Clapton kicks off his new tour in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 8. His two-day Crossroads Guitar Festival is happening September 23 and 24 in Los Angeles. A complete list of dates can be found at ericclapton.com.

As Brothers Osborne gear up to release their new self-titled album, they’re previewing one of the tracks off the project — “Love You Too.”

In an Instagram reel shared recently, the duo teased a snippet of the song and talked about the inspiration behind it.

“To pursue a career in the performing arts is great, but it also comes with a lot of haters. Some days it’s fine but some days it’s a little more difficult and you really just want to tell them to go f*** themselves,” John Osborne shares. “Our mom wouldn’t be very happy with us using that word, so we decided to change it to ‘love.'”

Brothers Osborne’s new self-titled album arrives September 15 and is available for preorder now.

Its lead single, “Nobody’s Nobody,” is currently #27 and rising on the country charts.
