New music from Cardi B is on the way.

She opened up about working on her long-awaited upcoming album in her Vogue México y Latinoamérica cover story, telling the Latin magazine that she’s in full album mode.

“I’m not going to release any more collaborations,” Cardi said. “I’m going to put out my next solo single.”

At the time of her discussion with Vogue Mexico y Latinoamérica, she dished that she was working on the project’s cover art and different ideas for the next record “because it’s definitely coming up.”

“Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now. They did when I released ‘WAP’ [with Megan Thee Stallion] and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles.”

She added, “So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon.”

The update comes not long after a slew of releases by the New York rapper, including “Jealousy,” her most recent track with husband Offset, “Point Me 2” with FendiDa Rappa and Latto‘s “Put It On the Floor Again.”

KISS is getting closer to the end of their final tour, and Gene Simmons is feeling good about the band’s decision to retire from the road.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Simmons says he feels “a great sense of pride” about the band’s long career.

“The idea that anybody would give me a chance … to be able to get a job that allows you to wear more makeup and higher heels than you ever wore and get paid well for it … It doesn’t get better than that,” Simmons said.

But after 50 years on the road, he wants to end things with “a little dignity,” noting his thought is they should “get off the stage before it’s too late. So, [I’m] still looking good. Hair’s there. A little less hair, but it’s there.”

He added, “I’m the luckiest guy in the world. I’m deliriously happy.”

KISS will launch the final leg of their End of the Road World Tour on October 19 in Cincinnati, Ohio. They’ll play their final two shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden December 1 and 2. A complete list of dates can be found at kissonline.com.

Republic

In addition to all the extra video and music content she’s releasing, Ariana Grande is tying her R.E.M. Beauty line into the 10th anniversary celebration of her debut album, Yours Truly.

During a Q&A posted on TikTok on August 28, Ariana answered the fan question, “Are we going to have products from R.E.M. Beauty inspired by this album?” The answer is yes.

“Would I not?” Ariana replied. She continued, “I know you’re very annoyed with me and my little makeup, but it’s coming. There’s more.”

Ariana was seemingly referring to the fact that some fans would prefer she spend more time on her music.

She added, “It’s really cute. It’s very Yours Truly-inspired and pink and girly and sweet. It’s very pretty.”  No word yet on when it’ll be available.

Speaking of “pink and girly and sweet,” during the Q&A, Ariana also explained why she changed the original cover of Yours Truly, which showed her kneeling on a bed of roses, wearing a pink dress against a pink background.

“Well, it’s horrible,” Ariana said, then corrected herself. “Not horrible [but] … you were right. You guys got very angry when you saw it. I was very sad about that, and I changed it.”

“You were right, but you’re not always right. Your bullying has been consistent for the past 10 years,” she added. “You hated it. You were like, ‘This is f****** ugly, mom, change it.’ So I did.”

She then said dramatically, “Sometimes it works. Sometimes it leaves me with wounds that make me question everything I’ve done since.”

“Just kidding,” she added.

Burt Bacharach & Hal David back on the Hot 100 Top 10

JMEnternational/Redferns

The late songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David has returned to the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time in almost 20 years.

The pair is back in the top five thanks to Doja Cat’s latest hit, “Paint the Town Red,” which is at #5 this week. Doja’s track samples the songwriting pair’s classic “Walk On By,” which was made famous in 1964 by Dionne Warwick.

The last time Bacharach and David were in the top 10 was in 2004 thanks to Twista’s “Slow Jamz,” featuring Kanye West and Jamie Foxx. It included a sample of Luther Vandross’ cover of their song “A House Is Not A Home,” which was originally recorded by Warwick in 1964.

Bacharach and David began their songwriting partnership in the 1950s, writing such hits as “Do You Know The Way To San Jose,” “I Know I’ll Never Love This Way Again,” “I Say A Little Prayer For You,” “What’s New Pussycat,” “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head” and many others.

Bacharach passed away in February 2023; David died in September 2012.

Tim McGraw may have collaborated with a slew of artists over the span of his multi-decade music career, but there are still several superstars on his dream duet bucket list.

During a recent round of Ask Me Anything backstage with Good Morning America, Tim was asked if he’d ever rerecord any of his early hits as a duet with other artists. His response featured a multi-genre list of singers and his wife, Faith Hill.

“I would love to go back and re-record all of my songs through the ’90s and early 2000s when I was on Curb Records. I would love to go back and re-record those songs and do them as duets with different artists,” he shares. “I mean, I have a long list of artists who I admire and adore who I’d love to sing with.”

“First on the list would be Bruce Springsteen. He’s one of my all-time favorites. Not only as an artist but as a human being. He’s fantastic,” says Tim. “I would love to sing with George Strait. Of course, I would always want Faith on any project that I do. Adele would be fantastic and a lot of fun.”

Tim’s new album, Standing Room Only, is out now.

In case you missed it, you can catch Tim’s 2023 GMA Summer Concert Series performances of “Standing Room Only,” “Something Like That” and more on goodmorningamerica.com.
