Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann is no longer being investigated in Germany over sexual misconduct allegations, The Guardian reports.

According to Berlin state prosecutors, the investigation “did not provide any evidence.”

“The rapid termination of investigative proceedings by the Berlin state prosecutor’s office shows that there is insufficient evidence that our client allegedly committed sexual offenses,” Lindemann’s lawyers say.

Investigations into Lindemann began in June after claims of sexual misconduct against him surfaced in May. Rammstein took to social media to deny accusations regarding an alleged incident in Lithuania. After a book publisher severed ties with Lindemann, Rammstein shared a statement in German that read, in part, “The allegations hit us all very hard and we take them extremely seriously.”

As news of the investigation broke, The New York Times reported that Rammstein’s record label, Universal Music, had “suspend[ed] promotional and marketing activities for the band.”

The Who played a special show at the royal family’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, on Monday, and they left their mark in a pretty permanent way.

U Discover Music reports that Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend planted a tree in the Royal Gardens as a way of supporting Heritage Live’s sustainability initiative. Heritage Live is responsible for holding concerts on the grounds, and the tree symbolizes its mission to reduce the impact large outdoor concerts have on the environment.

“I was very pleased to be asked by Heritage Live to plant this tree at Sandringham,” Daltrey shared. “I am thrilled that the Laurel Oak has been planted adjacent to the oldest tree in Sandringham Gardens, a 700 year old Veteran Oak.”

Townshend added, “Planting this tree is a great way of acknowledging Heritage Live’s sustainability initiative. I hope this Tilia ‘Winter Orange’ has a happy life in Sandringham Gardens.”

In addition to The Who, Van Morrison and Robbie Williams played at the Royal Sandringham Estate last weekend. It was the first time the royal family’s estate was used as a music venue.

Peter Frampton will spend some of his fall on the road.

The rocker just announced eight new dates for his 2023 Never Say Never tour. The new shows kick off November 9 in Louisville, Kentucky, hitting cities in Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama before wrapping November 22 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

“I am going to be continuing the tour in November,” Frampton shared on Instagram. “I’m just a glutton for enjoyment and hope you can come see us!”

In 2019, Frampton launched what he said would be his final tour ever, after being diagnosed with a degenerative muscular disease that would eventually stop him from playing guitar. But he changed his mind and launched the Never Say Never tour in June.

“I’m very pleased to let you know that I am feeling strong and my fingers are still roaming the fretboard,” he said when announcing the initial dates. “Every note I play now has more meaning and soul. I love playing live and this fighter wants to stay in the ring for as long as he can.”

The Cranberries have announced a reissue of the band’s 1996 album, To the Faithful Departed.

The expanded set is due out October 13 and includes remastered audio of the original record, plus bonus demos, early and alternate mixes, outtakes and live recordings.

To the Faithful Departed followed the one-two punch of The Cranberries’ 1993 debut, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?, and their 1994 sophomore effort, No Need to Argue. It became The Cranberries’ highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 on its way to being certified double-Platinum by the RIAA and spawned the single “Salvation.”

The To the Faithful Departed reissue follows similar treatments of Everybody Else Is Doing It and No Need to Argue, all of which have come out following the 2018 death of frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan.

“I hadn’t heard these tracks for a long time but have spent many days over the past year or so listening intently to these songs,” drummer Fergal Lawler says of To the Faithful Departed. “As difficult as it was to hear Dolores’ voice, they brought back many fond memories. I was shocked at how powerful they sounded and the strong emotions that I felt as I listened.”

The Cranberries’ last album, 2019’s In the End, features O’Riordan’s final vocal recordings.

Briga Heelan as Cinderella in ‘Once Upon a One More Time’; Matthew Murphy

Once Upon a One More Time, the Broadway musical that features Britney Spears‘ music, is closing this Friday. But according to its star, Britney was more involved with the show than you might think.

Briga Heelan, who has starred as Cinderella in the musical since it played in Washington, D.C., tells People there was a “step-by-step process of making sure that everything aligned with her wishes.”

“She had set boundaries about what she did and absolutely did not want this show to be about,” Heelan says. “I know the show certainly respected those boundaries.”

Once Upon a One More Time is an update on classic fairy tales: Cinderella decides she’s sick of the fact that marrying a prince is always the path to happily ever after, so she experiences a feminist awakening and rewrites her narrative.

Heelan adds that Britney loves musical theater, noting, “We get to do this in a medium that she really loves and did when she was younger too. We get to sing her songs and hopefully bring some levity right now, and some hope, happiness, joy and all of that, while respecting the boundaries that she set up.”

Asked if she was a Britney fan before the musical, Heelan says, “Huge. Was I listening to her music actively all the time before this audition? Yes. She’s just in the fiber of who I am.”

As for Britney’s difficult journey over the past few years, Heelan says, “Learning the horror that woman went through, seeing how much she survived and how protective her fans are of her — myself included — that need and desire to be protective of her is so warranted. It’s such a testament to how beloved she is.”

On This Day, August 29, 1966 – The Beatles’ live career comes to an end

On This Day, August 29, 1966…

The Beatles play what would be their last-ever full public concert, at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park.

The band played an 11-song set, which didn’t include any songs from their recently released album, Revolver.

The public was unaware that it would be the band’s final concert, although The Beatles themselves knew and brought a camera onstage to capture the moment.

The Beatles’ final public performance of any kind was their iconic “rooftop concert” in London in January 1969. That concert was recorded for the documentary Let It Be and was also part of the 2021 documentary The Beatles: Get Back.
